I read some posts on this and other forums and it seems that X isn't really all that interesting to most fans. Zero is just a generic badass dude with a 'mysterious' past and a game breaker power that can destroy the world but X had always been meant to be the main character technically. Zero had always been a part of the Spotlight Stealing Squad, a large majority of the events in series had to with Zero even when X was the lead character of his own series. Zero had his own series finally the way is was supposed to be originally but Zero is basically a post apocalyptic story where he saves the day from a tyrannical X or his copy. My question is to other people of RPM, is X not an interesting character despite the development he gets in the series? _________________ Guernsey Adams Pierre

I'm probably pulling this out of my buttocks, but wasn't zero originally designed to be the new megaman?
Perhaps Inafune liked the character and subconsciously focused on him. Whatever the case, he and X were intended to share the spotlight, I think. Kinda like how Luigi is supposed to share the spotlight with Mario.
I was never too keen on the X series. It was the first series I encountered, and it's great in its own right, but the design just doesn't strike a chord with me. I remember when I thought zero was a girl because of the ponytail and green orbs/boobs/gloobs. Never really liked him. |

I think the first and last things you said are true. Or at least most commonly thought. And who knows. Is Bass or Protoman more interesting? Is Protoman or Searchman more interesting? I guess that's just how it is sometimes. |

^ I see your point even though X and Megaman exe are the leads, I find that Zero, Protoman, Searchman and their operators have more focus then they do. _________________ Guernsey Adams Pierre

Wait, in the games or the anime?
Because that's malarkey. |

I say that mostly because you might think that we know Megamans already. They focus more on the other characters so they get back story. |
