Hey, 3DS owners - MM Legends 3 needs your help

There's a "Prototype Version" of Megaman Legends/Rockman DASH 3 coming out in May for the 3DS on Nintendo's e-shop. According to Capcom, the sales and hype around this game will be a way of gauging how popular MML 3 will be with the fanbase; if the prototype doesn't sell a fair amount and/or attract general attention, Legends 3 won't be greenlit for production/made. So on one hand: yay, MML gameplay! On the other: boo, holding MML 3 ransom based on demo sales on a new platform that most of the fandom probably doesn't have!

That's why MML fans need your help; please keep an eye out for the MML 3 Prototype Version on Nintendo's e-shop, when it opens in May, and buy it, and hype it to whoever the heck will listen. And while I know it's possible this may be a scare tactic and a little morally dubious, I enjoy the thought of actually HAVING an upcoming MM game, and I'd like to do whatever is necessary to get the word out. (besides, I'm fairly certain you'd enjoy the gameplay as well - Legends is really a very fun series.)

Haha, I'm thinking the same thing. Seems kind of an iffy tactic, but I'll gladly pitch in $2 to play a demo and support the game's continuing development.

As much as I love the Legends series, I cannot afford the demo, nor the game itselt, nor the actual 3DS. AHHHHH, I FEEL SO USELESS!!

I saw this earlier today as well, first on Joystiq, then on Protodude's site and I must say ... this is such a stupid way to get people to greenlight a project. Fans have been demanding a new Legends game for ages and yet their commitment has to be *proven*? Where's Keiji when you need him?

I'll most likely get the demo on the 3DS as soon as the store opens anyway, simply because I am sold on the trailer that's making the rounds on the 'Net today. This weird type of "fan-blackmail" isn't cutting it.
