Can't wait to see what you do with it, it's exciting! :D

On the content note: Set up an area in the wiki or some other section where people can share their chip folders. Some custom interface that stores all the chips to select from would be cool, but that would be a lot of work.

Ooh, that's not a bad idea. It sounds like it could be a lot of work but nothing is impossible. I will put that on my list.

Alright, I really lost interest in the first design I had for this site so I switched it up a bit to make it more functional. Here is a look at "Gingnet", the glossary of the MMBN universe.

It will be updated with any computer term I think is even remotely related to MMBN in an effort to expand it a bit.

I know there are programs like MediaWiki that can help with this aspect but it doesn't have everything I want. I will probably end up manually adding entries every couple of weeks or something like that.

Yup, news of this project has been a little dead because work has drained my creative process. I also needed to fix (and then, redesign) my portfolio so I could get that out of the way and get Hikari/SciLab back in the forefront of my many projects.

Quick status update: I am researching minimalist, futuristic designs that I can adapt for this site. I'm a bit of a perfectionist. Wink

Hey guys!

This will be the final site design (seriously, most likely). I used the screencaps of the first season of MMBN from REO (w00t!) as a reference to make the icons in vector format.

I also finished my first font a few days ago so now that I have a better understanding of how that stuff works, I plan to create fonts from the MMBN game text (I know I did this before but it'll be better). Also, I was thinking of having the front page of the site have a feed that displays links to the latest posts from the remaining Megaman sites out there ... thoughts?

Hehe, I'm a bit belated with this, but thanks again, Unknown Neo!

Just a quick update for all of you guys and gals: I finally moved out of my really crappy old place and much closer to my job in Boston, with one of my co-workers. I have also been working with my first (sorta) big client gig for a website and promotional materials.

What this means is, I can get to work on that MMBN-inspired podcast! My roommate just so happens to have played MMBN 1 AND 2, and after he saw all of my art books, Rockman EXE: The Bequethed Program of Lights and Darkness, and a wealth of other MMBN goodness, he is more than interested in assisting me with this.

In addition, hopefully, I can get referrals from my current client and stop working for other people (or at least work less), which would give me more time and energy to put towards Hikari Labs.

I wanted this update to have some "deliverables", if you will, but I think this is a worthy replacement. Talk to you all soon!

Happy New Year everyone!

Here's a little something I whipped up. As with my design and music portfolios, I opted for something a lot more simple, in which I can add complex functionality at a later date. I intend to make the site auto-aggregate with content via AJAX and nifty JavaScript. In a nutshell, it will look pretty and have nice sliding features.

I really like my initial ideas for this site, like:

... and I might have that design be mobile-exclusive. We'll see.

Another update. I've been working on this all night, I just couldn't stop. I'm still trying to figure out how to implement the "Maps" section to make it look good. Also, I thought of a way to distinguish between the different chip lists in every MMBN game (and maybe do a master list), I just haven't tested it yet.
