I'm here!
Would anyone mind if I started re-posting my fanfic from the eginning? Hope not. I felt like continuing this work, since I roughly finished the story in my head...

CHAPTER 1
ENCOUNTER
It was another regular day. Meiru sent Roll with a task of registering in an upcoming tournament. Meiru and Roll has a sure win on this tournament, considering the current rules of the contest. Before Roll could reach her destination, she stopped.
"What is it, Roll?" asks Meiru, wondering why Roll suddenly stopped.
"Meiru, we haven't encountered any virus today, right?" said Roll, hesitant in her answer.
"! Yes. We haven't encountered any today."
"Also, we haven't seen other Navis around..."
"!! You're right! Where is everyone?"
"I don't know..."
Before Roll could move on, she noticed that she couldn't lift her legs.
"What's going on, Roll?" Meiru asks.
"I-I don't know," says Roll. "I can't move my legs!"
"I think you ......... now, Roll."
"W-what was that again?"
"Roll? ... hear me? ...... you're breaking ............ Roll? ...... Roll! ..."
"Meiru? Can you hear me? Meiru!"
Roll was cut-off from Meiru. Roll noticed that her body was growing heavier and heavier each second. Roll panicked. She never imagined being in this kind of situation. Everything seemed to be bending out of proportions, as Roll felt like she was being pulled and pushed in all directions. In all this chaos, Roll fell on her knees.
Finally, it stopped. Everything was back to normal. Roll still has no connection with Meiru, but at least she's not feeling nauseous. Slowly, she stumbled to her feet. As she was standing up, she felt movement just behind her. Quickly, she turned around to see what it is.
There was another girl Navi behind her, also trying to stand up. Thinking that she might have been there when all that weird events happened, she offered to help.
"Hey! Are you alright?" Roll asks.
"I think so..." the girl exclaims. "Ugh... What was that?"
"You felt that too?"
"Sure did..."
As she helped the girl Navi up to her feet, she saw her face. And to her astonishment, she froze up. The girl Navi has something that she could not explain, nor imagine: her emblem. As she looked at her more, she realized that the girl Navi looked somewhat like her. Meanwhile, the girl Navi gave the same bewildered look, as she stared the same question at Roll. In this anxiety, they both spoke in a loud, bewildered voice.
"W-who are you?"
"Who am I? Who are you?"
"I'm Roll!"
There was this huge silence. Chills ran down their spine, aware that they both said the same words at the same time. Before they could talk again, Meiru finally got connected to Roll.
"Roll! Thank goodness you're alright! I suddenly lost connection when--" Before Meiru could continue, she saw the girl Navi standing next to Roll. Her jaw dropped in disbelief as she saw a resemblance to Roll. "Roll! W-who is that?" she stammers.
"I don't know! She's imitating me!" said Roll, inching away from the girl Navi.
"Imitating? You're the one who is stealing my cute looks!"
Before Roll could reply to this, the 'other' Roll began talking again. "Meiru! Can you hear me?"
Confused, Meiru replied "Yes?"
The other Roll looked up at Meiru, and said "I wasn't talking to you! I'm talking to my operator, Meiru!"
"!! I am Meiru!!"
"What?!"
Another huge silence. They have only talked for a short while, but they somehow felt that this conversation is going nowhere. Unable to continue this discussion any further, Meiru exclaimed "Jack-out, Roll! Let's not waste time with this!"
Roll jacked-out without a second's thought. Immediately, Roll was transferred back to Meiru's PET.
"Thank goodness that was over..." Meiru sighed. Little did she know that it was far from over.
"Hey! How did I get here?" says a familiar voice from her PET.
"What the...?" Meiru looked at her PET. What she saw made her jaw drop again.
The other Roll was inside her PET...

Netto arrived in a hurry, after receiving an E-mail from Meiru. She showed him her PET, as she tried to explain what happened. Netto and Rockman couldn't believe their eyes, as they saw two Rolls inside Meiru's PET, quietly staring at each other.
"Hmm... This is weird... What can you make of this, Rockman?" says Netto, scratching his head from hearing Meiru's story.
"I think I have an idea how this happened."
"What's your idea?"
"Netto, do you remember Django?"
"Of course I do! We fought alongside him, right? ...Why do you ask?"
"Django said that he travels through time and dimensions just to hunt vampires. So..."
"So... You are thinking this Roll is from another time and dimension?"
"Any other ideas, Netto?"
Meanwhile, inside Meiru's PET, the two Rolls are getting to know each other.
"You know, blue looks nice on you." says Roll.
"Thanks. Pink makes you look cute." says the other Roll.
END OF CHAPTER

That's it. Here is my Chapter 1. I edited it a little from the original (mainly grammar). Shoud I include the picture that used to go with this (if anyone remembers this)?

I'm here!
I decided to add the pictures (the ones that I was able to recover). The first chapter has one now.

CHAPTER 2
DISCOVERY
"What did you find out, Dr. Hikari?"
"Interesting news, Meiru. Very interesting."
Dr. Hikari handed Meiru her PET, having a mystified smile on his face. As he removed his lab coat, he couldn't wait to break the news to Netto and Meiru.
"So, what's the news, dad?" asks Netto
"Well, they are almost the same..."
Netto tilted his head, saying "Uh... We already know that, pops. All you need to do is look at them."
Dr. Hikari shook his head. "I don't just mean their physical appearance, Netto. Their program structure is almost the same."
Netto and Meiru looked at each other, as if checking if what they heard is true.
"Almost?" asks Meiru, now with a knot on her eyebrows. "Why almost?"
"I compared their program structures," answered Mr. Hikari. "I found one major difference: the other Roll's program has a huge extension on it."
"A huge extension?"
"Yes. It's also very well encrypted. No matter how much I try to decipher that extension, all I get is memory garbage. I did manage to discover something, though."
"What is it, father?" Netto asks in an eager tone.
"This other Roll can't use battlechips, but it seems she can use some by herself anyway."
Silence filled the room for a moment, as Meiru and Netto couldn't quite understand Dr. Yuichiro's statement.
"This huge extension to the other Roll's program probably contains battlechip data, enabling her to use some at her own will."
"An independent Navi..." Netto touched his lips as he reminisce of other independent Navis he once fought.
"Also, whenever I jack-out any one of them, the other would jack-out, too. Some sort of program link, if you will."
"That would explain what happened yesterday at the Net. When I jacked Roll out, the other Roll was in my PET..."
"Wait 'til the guys hear this! Another Roll from another dimension!"
Dr. Hikari interrupted with a calm voice. "I don't think that is wise, Netto."
"? Why is that, pops?"
"This kind of information should not get out. It would be too hard to swallow by the public, and might raise questions and doubt. How would we explain such a phenomenon?"
Netto stooped when he heard his father's rational logic. "I never thought about it that way..."
"Besides, I checked the other Roll's personality, and found that she dislikes the limelight."
"She does?"
Meiru worried a bit. "What should we do, Dr. Hikari? We can't tell the others that she's also Roll."
Dr. Yuichiro held his chin as he looked down on his feet, silently contemplating on what could be the best course. Before he could come up with an idea, Netto snapped his fingers, saying "I got it!"
Dr. Hikari looked at Netto. "What is it, Netto?"
"We could just say that she's a new type of Navi, sharing Meiru's PET for the meantime." says Netto, in a spirited voice.
Meiru intervened. "And what if somebody asked who she is?"
"Simple. Let's just change her name."
Mr. Hikari slowly nodded and smiled. "That's a good idea, Netto."
"So, what should we name her?" asks Meiru, somewhat expecting Netto to already have that solved.
Netto suddenly froze. He slowly turned to Meiru with an out-of-place answer. "Er..."

That night, back at Meiru's house, the three are having a discussion of what happened earlier. The decision has been made that the other Roll is an experimental Navi, being tested to see how it relates to another Navi. The test is being held on Meirus PET.
"Do you understand all of that, Roll?" asks Meiru
"I understand," says the other Roll.
"And you're okay with this?"
The other Roll nodded. "No problem here."
"Uhm... We can't settle on what we should call you, so we decided to let you do that."
The other Roll smirked, saying "I knew that would happen. I heard all the names that Netto suggested earlier, and they are all awful."
Roll couldn't help but laugh on that comment. "Heheh. Never let boys pick out a girls name."
"You said it," said Meiru, trying to hide her grin as well.
"So what should we call you?" asks Roll.
The other Roll turned away for a second, and then said "I always fancied the name Luna."
Meiru and Roll looked at the other Roll, saying "Luna?"
The other Roll's face lights up when she heard them. "Wow! That sounded better when you both say it! Say it again!"
The two smiled, agreeing to the other Roll's decision. "Then Luna it is!"

Inside Meiru's PET is a cyber-bed where Roll sleeps (duh!). But with Luna inside the same PET, Roll shared her bed. Good thing the bed is big enough for two (now why is that to begin with?).
Before they turned in for the night, Luna asked Roll out of curiosity. "What were you doing yesterday, before all that weird stuff happened to us?"
Roll leaned back as she recalled all she did that momentous day. "Well, I had a chat with Meiru about the restaurant that opened a few days ago. After that, we finished all of our homework. Then, I was on the Net, on my way to register for this upcoming tournament. That's when I met you."
"A tournament?" asks Luna, her face coming up to Roll's.
Roll, surprised by this action, recoiled. "Y-yes. Why?"
"Can I join?" asks Luna, now with a lively voice.
"Sure. I don't see why not."
"Great! When is this tournament?"
"Two days from now."
"Yes!! I can't wait!"
Roll, confused at first, suddenly smiled after realizing. "You enjoy battles a lot, do you?"
Luna nodded straight away. "Yup! Love 'em!"
END OF CHAPTER

There you go. The other Roll's name is Luna, and she's from another dimension.

Yes. I did made a sprite of her. She's called Luna, but she's basically Roll Rock Soul. :D

CHAPTER 3
ACQUAINTANCE
"Guys, we want you to meet Luna. Luna, these are Dekao, Gutsman, Shuuko, and Aquaman."
"Nice to meet you, everyone! I'm Luna!"
Luna extended her hand, but received no handshake. They all stared at Luna, comparing her image to Roll. Awkward, Aquaman asked as he moved closer to Luna "Are you Roll's twin-pyu?" Motionless, his eyes looked straight into hers.
"Yes?" said Luna, bending down to Aquaman so he could see closer to her eyes.
"... Roll's eyes-pyu..."
"Come again?"
"You're eyes are like Roll's eyes-pyu! I like you-pyu!"
Immediately, Aquaman jumped up and gave Luna a big hug. Luna, being friendly and all, hugged back. "Heheh. This is a nice greeting," she exclaimed.
Gutsman suddenly pulled Rockman by the hand, dragging him away from the others.
"What's wrong, Gutsman?"
"Rockman, where did she come from-de gutsu? She looks almost like Roll-de gutsu!"
"Eh? S-she's an experimental Navi," said Rockman, suddenly nervous by trying to remember their cover-up story for Luna. "She was designed to emulate others. Right now, she has Roll as an example."
"Oh-de gutsu! That's incredible-de gutsu!"
"Y-yeah... Incredible..."
"I wonder when will she emulate me-de gutsu? I want to know what it feels like to be another Navi's model-de gutsu!"
"Eh? Uh... T-that might be for a long time... Y'see... er... She wants to emulate Roll until she can get things right... Y-yeah! That's it!"
"Oh, shucks-de gutsu..."
Meanwhile, the same question is being discussed in the real world.
"She looks a lot like Roll..." said demurely by Shuuko.
"It's actually interesting," said Dekao. "If she emulated Gutsman, I wonder what she would look like?" Dekao imagined away before he could even finish this sentence.
"M-maybe like Rockman in Guts Soul, only cuter?" uneasily said Netto, knowing that Luna being a different Navi is just a scheme to keep others from the truth.
Meiru, also trying to hide this fact, said "Y-yeah! Maybe cuter!"
"She might become Aquaman's best friend if she were to emulate him..." Shuuko smiled, as she secretly imagined Luna in a one-piece bathing suit. (After all, water and bathing suit complements each other, right?)

"Is Aquaman this friendly?" asks a charmed Luna, firmly carrying Aquaman on her shoulders.
"Yes. There was this one time when he stuck to Rockman's shoulders like glue, every chance he gets." Roll inched closer to Luna's ear, and whispered. "He was pretty annoying back then. I couldn't even talk properly to Rockman when he's around..."
"Really?"
"Really!"
Imagining the situation for a moment, Luna exclaimed "Ouch! That must have been hard!"
As they chatted away, Rockman and Gutsman returned. Gutsman introduced himself the way he always did. "Howdy, Luna! The name's Gutsman-de gutsu! I’m Dekao's Navi-de gutsu!" He strongly extended his big hand, ready for a handshake.
Luna looked at Gutsman as she marveled at his size. "Whoa! You're huge from this close!" She looked down on his hand, imagining how to hold it. "You're hand is big, too!" Trying to feel indifferent, she just placed her hand on top of his palm. Gutsman smiled (if you can tell), acknowledging this as a done greeting.

"Say, Meiru," asks Netto, "Don't you have a tournament to sign-up to?"
"Tournament?" said Meiru, not knowing what Netto is talking about.
"You know, the tournament you were supposed to sign-up two days ago."
Surprised by her sudden absentmindedness, Meiru snapped at Netto. "Ah! You’re right! How could I forget?"
"You forgot?!" Netto immediately looked up to the sky, as if searching for more signs of an impending disaster.
Meiru, quick to all of Netto's quirks, gave him an elbow to the stomach. "Not funny, Netto!"
"Jack-out now, Roll! We have to sign-up for the tournament!" said Meiru.
Roll nodded, and bid the others farewell. "Well, everyone, we'll be seeing you later. Goodbye!"
Before Roll could jack-out, Luna quickly gave Aquaman to Rockman, saying "I have to go, too. See ya all!"
The two were transferred back to Meiru’s PET as Meiru left, waving goodbye to everyone.
"By the way, Meiru," said Roll, "Luna wants to join the tournament, too."
"Oh? Okay then. In that case, we'll be signing-up for a doubles match."
"Right on! A tag battle!" said Luna, excited to hear Meiru's approval.
Meiru, confused at first, suddenly smiled after realizing. "You enjoy battles a lot, don’t you?"
Luna nodded straight away. "Yup! Love 'em!"
Roll suddenly looked at the two, with a stumped face. "I think this just happened yesterday..."
END OF CHAPTER

CHAPTER 4
TRIAL
"So this is the Densan's main server." Luna's eyes kept straying around, marveling at what she sees. It's as if she is in a real park. Meanwhile, Roll was done registering for the tournament that would take place there.
"So, how do you like it here?" asks Roll, seeing how Luna's eyes darts around with wonder.
"This looks like from where I came from, only bigger and with more trees."
"Roll, are you done with the registration?" asks Meiru.
"Yes. Now we'll just have to wait until the start of this tournament."
Curious, Luna looked at the line back at the registration booth. "Say, how many teams do you think will enter in this tournament?", says Luna, counting all the Navis in the line.
"More than 40, I guess. When I registered, we are team #26. And there's still a few more registering."
"Do we get to fight all of them?" asks an enthusiastic Luna.
Meiru shook his head. She cleared her throat, and then started to explain. "Not really. The doubles tournament held here in Densan is always a match-up type. They will choose up to 16 teams then pair them up."
"So... That means... We'll only be fighting 4 teams at most?" Luna's shoulders slumped, disappointed to hear that.
Meiru and Roll let out a faint giggle as they see Luna's reaction. "I never tought I'd meet a Navi who enjoys battles this much," said Roll, her chuckle subsiding.
"Oh, well... It can't be helped..." said Luna, her shoulders still hunched.

The day of the tournament...
"! Hey Meiru, you've got mail!"
"Read it, Roll."
THE DENSAN MERCURY CUP IS NOW READY TO START. PLEASE GATHER AT THE DENSAN MAIN SERVER ON 9:00AM. THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING.
Meiru, true to her being early routine, was already there.
"Well, we're already here, so we'll just have to wait for the others," says Luna.
All the participants came one by one. It happened quickly, but for the Navis, it felt like a long wait. They were estimating one another, seeing if there are those who can give a challenge. Meanwhile, there are those who are already mocking other Navis. Roll and Luna knows that some were laughing at them, but they ignored it. After all, they won't know what they won't know, won't they?
"Is everybody... here?" asks an out-of-breath, green Navi. "Sorry, the... Rising Hero Cup just... finished a minute ago, and... I had to... run here."
Some of the contestants find it funny, and allowed the Navi some time to breath.

"Okay! Welcome to the Densan Mercury Cup. We are glad to know that there are 57 teams who have entered this tournament. To all of you, thank you for participating."
A round of applause...
"Now, we will begin shortly the elimination phase!" As the announcer gave the signal, a pedestal rose up from the ground, with cubes piling up on it. "Here we have the 16 tournament cubes. Each cube contains a number to decide your place on the roster. To qualify, all you have to do is present one to us!"
"That sounds too easy." whispered Luna. In return, Roll whispered "The tournaments here always has a catch..."
"The hard part of getting these cubes is finding them! These cubes will be scattered all over the Densan server! It's up to you to look for them!"
Roll smiled. "See? What did I tell you?"
"And to make the hunt interesting, we added a new rule! Once you get a cube, other teams may battle you for the chance to 'legally' steal it from you!!"
"There really is a catch, huh..." whispered Meiru.
"Now, without further adieu, let the elimination phase begin!" As the announcer raised his hand, the cubes went flying off in all directions. All of the Navis ran after one of them, kicking up dust on the way.
So much dust was kicked up, that Roll and Luna was stuck in the middle, blinded by the cloud. Even Meiru couldn't see in the fog.
"Oh no! They've already gone! Roll! Luna! Are you two okay?" asks Meiru, trying to see them through the thick fog.
Roll's eyes got some dust in them, blinding her temporarily. "I-I can't see!"
"Quick, Roll! We can't let them beat us!"
Luna just dragged Roll out of the dust cloud, and picked a direction. She wasn't blinded, since she has a visor.
"Hurry! I know where one is!" said Luna, still dragging Roll towards the cyber-forest.
Roll, rubbing her eyes, asked "You do? How?"
"Intuition!"
END OF CHAPTER

There you go! On a side note, when I first posted this chapter, there is no picture included. I've made a few scratches for it, but never got the time to use it. The one I'm using, I never gave it some time to fix the lines...
To RockNetto, there is some romance here. I'm still figuring somethings out, like how would Roll react if she-- :O Er... Almost spoiled something... Anyway, I can do that (I think).

Okies....
How did I not notice this in my thorough pass through the FanFic section? *scratches head* Well, it still is a very nice piece of work. I think this is the only fic I know that actually has some sort of illustrations for the story, and I appreciate you putting them up in the chapters. Major ups for you. It makes the story flow a lot better that way. The drawings are done quite well too. And this wouuld be the first time that I have read this, so please continue with what you were doing and try not to spoil it.
Question: Why is Shuko in this? I suppose it is your perogative, but for now, she seems out of place.

Yes, she is out of place. I just picked four random friends when I did this chapter. The first one I did of this (a prototype), I had Yaito, Glide, Chisao and Rush. It didn't work...

CHAPTER 5
QUALIFY
"Are you sure it's around here, Luna?" shouted Roll from below.
"Yes! I know it is! Just keep looking!" yelled Luna, searching every branch and leaves as she skims the treetops.
Roll and Luna were rummaging around every nook and cranny they can spot inside the dim forest. Meanwhile, Meiru was trying to remember the places where they have already searched. It would be impossible to look for something so small inside something so big. Of course, impossible is only imposed by those who couldn't do it...

It has already been half an hour. Some of the participating Navis have come and gone in this area, searching for the cubes as well. Before Roll could yell her frustration out, a glint catches her eye from the mound of dried leaves. Curious, she ran as quickly as she could to it.
"What is it, Roll?"
Roll tossed the leaves aside to see what it was. She picked it up, and what she saw brings her a smile. "I-I found it, Meiru! I found it!"
"Good work, Roll!" said Luna, jumping down from the tree she was searching. "Quick, let's bring it back at the stage!"
"You got it!" Roll firmly grasped it in her hand, and ran just as fast as Luna. Dodging through some foliage and twigs, they slowly came to the light. Once outside, they saw some of the participants on the stage. It would appear that they have found a cube and has already qualified.
As the two excitedly hurried back, a sudden blast of energy cut them off. "What the--?!"
They turned around, and saw where the energy came from. Two man-looking Navis are pointing their Busters at them, laughing wickedly. "Give us the cube and you won't get your pretty faces hurt!"
Meiru whispered to the two. "Roll! Luna! The rule says others can challenge us for the cube! It looks like they want to have ours and take our place!"
"Oh, really now?" said Luna, a smirk crossing her face.
"Luna, let's run quickly to the stage! They can't challenge us anymore once we are there!" Roll grabbed Luna by the hand as she started to drag her.
Luna abruptly stopped Roll in her tracks. Slowly, she loosened Roll's grip, while saying "That's a good idea, Roll. But..."
"But...?"
"But I want us show them a thing or two." Slowly, she turned at the two Navis, having a rather despicable smile.
Meiru crossed her eyebrows. Slowly, she muttered, "We don't have to fight time, Luna..."
Luna looked up at Meiru, and winked. "Trust me. I can tell that these guys are push-overs."
That said, Roll and Meiru got ready for a fight...
"Hey!! You two!! You want our cube?! Over our deleted bodies!!" Luna shouted, as she turned around waiving her butt and sticking her tongue at them.
Roll, embarrassed to see Luna's pose, hissed. "Luna!! W-what are you doing?! Stop that!!"
The two Navis were quite easily enraged by being taken lightly. "You asked for it!! Get her!!" The two Navis started rushing towards Roll and Luna. Luna's taunt worked.
"Meiru, what is your strongest Electric chip?", whispered Luna, as her side-tails began glowing.
Meiru paused for a while, thinking for an answer. "The strongest we have is a Navi chip of Thunderman."
"That's good enough. I'm preparing to use Ice Stage, so..."
"Ah! I see..." Roll whispered. "That means when you..."
The three continuosly whispered to one another, paying no attention to their enemies. The two Navis rushed even faster, Swords prepared and ready to skewer Roll and Luna. "We'll delete you painfully, you foolish girl!!"
Luna merely scoffed at them. "Hah! Who's the fool? Me, are the ones who were threatening us?"
Before they could get real close, Luna's side tails flashed a brilliant light. Immediately, the green grass they are standing on turned into ice. The two Navis slipped and slided around Roll and Luna, unable to attack. As for Roll and Luna, they are safe from slipping as they floated inches away from the ice. "Now Roll!" said Luna.
"Thunderman!" Roll shouted with authority in the air. Light came down from above as a copy of Thunderman materialized in front of Roll. Immediately, Thunderman sent lightning down on the two opponents, shocking them real good. The damage has already been done, but the ice on their feet continuosly drained them out of their energy.
"Cheater!", screamed on of the enemies. They were both helpless as they are paralyzed from the shock.
"Cheated? You tried to take the cube from us, and we defended it fairly. Besides, who's the one who shot at us out of the blue?" Luna kicked dust on to them, adding more insult to injury.
Roll and Meiru gave a sigh, relieved that the sudden battle has ended as quickly as it started. From the stage, applause can be hard. The qualifying contestants saw how quick they rendered the two mean-looking Navis out of commission.
"Shall we continue?" asked Luna, bowing and giving her hand to Roll.
Finally in the mood to play with Luna's antics, she took Luna's hand and made a curtsy. "Continue we shall!" A giggle broke out between them.
Meiru, wordless, chuckled along...

"What's the number we got for our team?" asked Roll.
Luna sat down next to Roll. "We're team #12." She showed the number inside the cube they were carrying. "Our first match will start on 12 o'clock noon. A lot of time to relax a bit."
"I see." Meiru looked at her watch, counting how much time before the game "Well, I guess we have no reason to stay around for a while. Anyone of you want to look around, or practice before the match?"
Roll looked up, taught for a while, and said "Let's practice. Luna might as well show us some of what I can do."
Luna beamed and said "Now that you mention it, I haven't seen you fight as well."
Luna stood up promptly, helping Roll standing up. "C'mon! Let's look for viruses to pick on!"
END OF CHAPTER
