Well it said in IGN (i think) that the DS will use its wireless compadability with a wireless router (sold seperatly) to connect to the net. Which means you would have to be within the wireless range of the DS WITH a Wireless Router in its range too....so long story short The DS uses a Router to get to the net (maybe im not sure)

Yeah, either way, you're going to need a wireless router. There are WiFi hotspots all over, though, so you don't -have- to buy one. http://www.wifinder.com/
