Okay, here goes:
I saved before plugging into the tank in ACDC, and made it ALL THE WAY to Alpha, without saving ANYHWERE in the WWW tank computers, and beat Alpha. As a result, I now have my first star, can access the Secret Area, - and haven't finished the final scenario yet. The only REASON for this? ... ... ... >>; I don't like having the Internet turn all grey and icky because of Alpha's ressurection. It's still colorful right now.
Well, here's my problem: I, with Zenny signs in my eyes, went and took on the Legendary Tomes job at the SciLab board - and can't get the "Magnum1 A" chip I need to complete the mission, because it's on Wily's desk!! x_X Even worse, I've heard the virus you get it off of is, naturally, In the WWW tank comps. ><;
So my QUESTION is, does anyone know for a FACT if "Magnum1 A" comes out of a chip trader? If so, do they know which one..?

If I recall correctly, the Magnum1 A can be found between the keys of the computer on the WWW base. If it is not there, see if you can order one. Otherwise, explore the area around Under5 and 6 and a good rank should net you the chip.

I think you need to epquipe your self with bodyoil go into the tank, find one those viruses and S rank them to get the magnum chip.

EVERY chip in the game, all five codes for each, can come out of at least one of the chip traders. It simply requires patience. For example, I must have dumped over 2500 frags and about 5000 chips altogether, and I still have not nabbed another AreaGrab *...

Wow that's weird how you say that. I nearly have 2 of evry chip of each code. You can get magnums in the secret area and I'm sure they are most likely able to come out of the chip trader.

Uh what version are you playing. Sorry to break to you but you only can get one AreaGrab * in the blue version. I had to learn the hard way.

| Actually I have mastered the whole thing. I have all the giga chips and every chip avalable on the game. You can but you have to go through a lot of multiplayer games and\or trade with another playerthrough a link. |

Really? I thought there was a Merchant Shop that sells about 3 AreaGrabs *. I only bought one anyway, so I'll go check. |

That's White. We have 3 AreaGrab * for the low low price of 1600z apiece! You guys have Invis *, also another folder staple, for about the same price.

| I'm pretty sure you keep any chips you collect between saving and beating the game. So just save, go get yer Magnum, beat the game, restart, and finish the job. |

| Nope, I believe the last two jobs only become available after defeating Alpha. My only uncertainty is in the number of jobs. I know jobs appear after but I'm not sure if it's two. |

I thought that too, but I had edited my chip folder for Alpha, and when I restarted, it was back to normal... And I really didn't pick up any chips of interest in the WWW Comps, so I didn't think to check if I still had them or not... ...do I really want to wrestle security drones for an hour again just to find out? ><;

any of the red ones and the Bug Trader but you cant get to that right now

I agree. There ain't no Magnum A there. Only V. I recall that much. Anyway, for the A, you need to find the virus that yields it whose name I can't remember. Get Custom style and S-rank him.
