Actually I think the real reason anime Forte will never be up to par with his game/anime counterparts is because of the whole ultimate program bit. Yeah, his anime background was terrible, but it's because he doesn't have that "program" that he can't reach his full potential. So, if there was anything I could change in the anime, it would be to get rid of that plot device. >_<
Anyway, as for Forte, his manga version is definately my favorite. His character has a lot of depth; more so than any other Rockman manga villian. His game counterpart is okay. He does have a backstory, but he has been used just as a challenge more than anything. I would like to see him have a major involvement in a game sometime. _________________ .+.~illusion~.+. |

What about BN3 he was involved more in it than the other BN games to date....I thought it was sad that Cossack sortof disown Forte cuz he was a threat to humanity. :grr: :Kill, kill, kill!!!!! _________________ Forte is so cute!! :grr: |

Thanks for all of the info that all you gave me about The Black Shadow. It actually was a big help. It gave me lots of ideas about what to do for my next fanfic and this one is going to be a crossover with the Rockman.Exe Series. It's going to take place right after the Stream series. It may take a while, but it would definitely be worth a shot. I just want to know one thing that would help me out a lot: what do you all think of the title: "The Black Shadow's Assault: The Chaotix vs. The Pirate Ghosts?" It'll be a while before I could put it up. Anyway, Later!

Okay. I'm a rabid fangirl, but I must say that Forte has no reason to even exist in the anime. There was just no point, besides the fact that he's supposed to be the reincarnation of Pharoahman. Pharoahman didn't have to be reincarnated, especially if Forte was just gonna stand there and stare off into space. He didn't do anything all that special, so I don't really think there was a reason for the Gospel Mafia to worry about him anyway. Just didn't make sense, to me at least.
I love his manga version, though. He's all evil, and he actually has his own storyline. And a really depressing one at that. I feel sorry for him. =P
Game version... well... Sadly, I haven't really played much of the games. So I don't really have an opinion.
To Nigma: Is your fanfic going to be a Sonic/Rockman crossover? _________________

It's amazing how much the sonic characters resemble the megaman characters.
Sonic has a rivalry with Knuckles, and his ultimate adversary is Shadow.
Megaman has a rivalry with Protoman, and his ultimate adversary is Bass.
They're the same color! OMG.
Anyway, sounds interesting. _________________ Original name: blazequest |

Well, the thing is that Forte anime is just there for show. He hardly battles and after the Gospel incident he hardly has a reason to exist. I guess he's there to bring in the fans. Manga and Game Forte's are much better though. I played the game versions and found out that Forte is really cool and a really powerful navi. Not to mention and in depth story line built around him. |

In the Classic series, Bass was created as a rival for Megaman, a recurring enemy that would stop at nothing to gain the power needed to defeat his sworn enemy. I really liked what happened with him in Megaman 8.[spoil:03771fca16]The fact that he would go so far as to accept energy that was known to be dangerous just so he could have a shot at beating Megaman shows this, and I personally think it tells alot about his character.[/spoil:03771fca16]
It was kind of dissapointing to find out that he'd gotten the "legendary" treatment for his Battle Network role; he's to the EXE universe what the legendary pokemon are to the pokemon games. He's a mysterious, uber-powerful, unstoppable "god" whose only real interest seems to be fighting for the sake of fighting. Which, as a result, makes him flat, two-dimensional. Did he get that strong though training? No. Is there someone close to him that he fights to help/protect, thus providing a REASON for wanting to be strong? No. Does he have any sort of goal other than carelessly killing other things? Not really. Does he really HAVE any story aside from the usual bad-ass backstory of being betrayed in his youth and being filled with angst as a result? Not from what I've seen.
The original Bass fought for pride and to prove his worth to those around him and, ultimately, himself. The EXE Bass fights because it's his nature and no other reason. Dissapointing indeed. _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

I agree with you all that Forte in the anime series is just there for show but just wait till you see the movie. He has some meaning in that I think, a part of the movie [spoil:0c6a89fe83]he actually aquires the ultimate program and fuses or something with rockman and then becomes what we all love ForteCrossRockman. I loved that 5, 6 minute fight scene against nebula gray.[/spoil:0c6a89fe83]
I actually have the manga and Forte IS a god there from what I think. Haven't read the battle net one though. The game well I don't think he's as great as the manga one but still awesome. _________________ [Signature Removed by Admin - Not only is it WAY too big, it also contains SPOILER material. I hope that in either stream or the movie he gets a good story, cause right know, maybe it was the writer's intention, but no one knows his motivation. _________________ You're an honest man, that's good. Now let me take attendance so I can find out who the hell you are! -My Health Teacher

Sorry for not taking the time to answer earlier, but I was just so busy that I didn't have enough time to answer as many as I thought. Anyway, I would like to thank you Suraa.Exe as well as everyone else in this forum for being honest. I mean, it's about time that I would be able to hear some honest opinions from people. It's good that there are some honest people left out there. Thanks once again for the opinions and one other thing, you're right about Forte/Bass. I think that in the anime, he doesn't seem to play much of a important as he would in the games, or in the manga. Well, Later! :grr:

Forte is definitely my fav navi.
But i like his story more in the games.
Being betrayed cuz: [spoil:2cca21c4dd]The officials thought he was the one causing the bugs on the net while it was in fact Alpha[/spoil:2cca21c4dd]
[spoil:2cca21c4dd]He has to leave his human friend Cossack and flee from the officials.[/spoil:2cca21c4dd]
I almost dropped a tear when i found out about his sad past...
Makes me wanna murderize those officials! >.< _________________

On a totally unrelated subject, I was wondering what is the name of the attack that Forte uses on Slur. I can't make it out. It's the first one before the Dark Blade and Darkness Overload. Any answer would be greatly appreciated. Go Forte! I'm gonna buy the manga as soon as I get the money. _________________ Original name: blazequest |

You mean EarthBreaker?
Anyway, I think he's ok. I wish he wasn't as over-rated as he is though.
He'd be cooler if he wasn't the super-awesome-strong-powered navi with awesome powers...
But we can't all have that now can we-? _________________ "When it rains,it pours. When it pours, get out of the rain." -quoth me!

Well, at least in the Games and Anime, Forte is Good. The god-like role fits his to a T. Like in the original series, Forte is a great improvement over Megaman. He's powerful enough to give players a great challenge, and watching him with serenade was Quite fun in the anime. Also, when it comes to overhyped, there has been worse. "coughMegamancough -.- " |

I think he got that one mixed up with the manga one. >>()
Anyways, as I have read from the above posts, Anime Forte is kinda... less. Also the part that the manga Forte is somewhat like a "god"([spoil:b6ee121cf1]Well, he got absorbed by RockmanDS and still survives in a ghostly form.[/spoil:b6ee121cf1])
Erm, yar. |

Thanks everyone. I've watched that scene over and over, and I have to admit that it doesn't really sound like he's saying Earth Breaker. I suppose it's the japanese accent.
One thing I noticed is how unlike the original, Classic Forte the EXE Forte is. Like I said, I haven't read the manga yet (I will, I just need time + money), but Forte doesn't seem so pompous in EXE. In Classic, Forte thought he was the strongest, and if anyone defeated him, he'd become obessed with destroying them. That doesn't really come across in EXE. He just does nothing, like he's bidding his time. He's not as hot-headed as classic Forte. I suppose he's more pompous in the manga. _________________ Original name: blazequest |

Well, to be quiet honest, I have to agree with blazequest. The original version of Forte really does seem to be a popous jerk in the original MegaMan series than in the Exe. series. I mean, from the information that I was able to gather about this guy, I wouldn't say that I don't agree with all of you. If there's something that I hadn't heard from outside or inside the net, then someone please tell me right now. Oh, and I'm planning on putting Forte in one of my crossover series fics that I'm working on. However, I'm going to have to put the American name Bass on the story. Now, here's a thought, what would all of you think if he actually were to come to this very world? How would he react? That's what I'm going to write about. I'll let you all know when it starts. Later!
