You mean the old MegaMan cartoon, or the NT Warrior anime?
Either way, no(for the MegaMan Cartoon) and yes(for NT Warrior). _________________ I think it's time to say goodbye. |

Alright, well to my knowledge Forte never made an appearence in the old MegaMan Cartoon. X did for some reason though... I never saw that one... _________________ I think it's time to say goodbye. |

For the record, most fans refer to the old cartoons as the Mega Shows.
And no, Bass never appeared in the shows. Although its been a while since I've seen them, I'm pretty sure that they rarely deviated from the standard cast, using about one other -insert here-Man per episode along with GutsMan and CutMan.
I think PharoahMan got about five seconds worth of screen time. That was a royal shame. T_T (random comment) _________________

Yeah, I kinda knew that the old MegaMan Cartoons were called the MegaShows... but someone who may've jumped on the boat with EXE could hear the term MegaShow and think NT Warrior, so I hadta check.
Anywho, I kinda wonder why Forte never made an appearence there... they let X have one... along with Vile and that one guy((Spark Mandril?)) from X1 in... _________________ I think it's time to say goodbye. |

Because two reappearing nutcases were enough? (Wily and Proto Man)
Proto Man sort of took over Bass' job in the shows, so I guess that there wasn't much need for him. Although it would have been cool to see him, Bass probably would have ended up squabbling with Proto Man more than fighting Mega Man. _________________

Yes apperanlty the writers didn't play to far into Megaman 5 to figure out he wasn't ebil.
But sadly Forte Never made an appearence. although there are rumor's of a lost 28th episode. I think it went 25,26,28 in some episode listings _________________

They wanted to use Bass, but it was bad timing, as Capcom pulled the plug on the cartoon right around the time MM7 was coming out. X, of course, had come out a bit prior, so he made it in.
I always thought that it was interesting that Proto Man's shots resembled the shots from the Bass-Buster in MM7 and the arcade games, compared to Mega Man's, at least.

Of course, Mega Man's shots were all over the place. Sometimes he shot pencil-thin laser beams, or massive fireballs, or just his usual buster shots.
Personally, I think that they deliberately changed Proto Man's history, just to make things more interesting. _________________

Well there was a rumor he was going to appear in the later season, but that never happened (I read it somewhere, I think it was the website where the guy had pictures of Mega Shows toys and stuff).
Season 3 did start, but then got the boot for some mysterious reason I don't know. That is all I know for sure. I wanted to see an MMX show spin-off starring X and his girlfriend Zero.

You might have seen it already Shark, but they DO have something with X and female Zero.
"The Other Side" on the Crowded Street Advanced, INC site. Along with It Ain't Easy being Blue, Which is a hilariously Irreverent Original Mega/Rockman Spoof.
Sadly, I think they stopped making the Second one.

Theres the Website for it.
Yes, on the Megashows X episode the Bad guys were Vile and Spark Mandrill. Though Spark Mandrill was editted to be a LOT Dumber than you would think a Reploid like him would be. He was basically a Large Robot Monkey Action Figure that Knew two phrases. "Mandrill SMASH!" and his special Attack. I think they added some kind of special thing about Rock not being able to use his Copy ability on Mandrill or Vile, but I think He copied X's X-buster. Vile just kinda sat back and ordered Mandrill around. Which was just teh suck, since Vile is so Awesome when he's fighting. _________________ (Warning: Reading these suggestions may lead to anger, cramps, burning pain of the hand, and the Urge to severely injure submitting author. Everyone always throws out MM5 as the reason Proto Man was bad in the toons.
Maybe, just MAYBE, they took that bit from Mega Man 3, where he WAS working for Wily...
Really, he wasn't going to be so straight and narrow bad at first, but just sort of wound up that way in the final product.

In terms of game and the supposed working with Wily, I always assumed he just kept quiet, while his cartoon counterpart is an obnoxious loud mouth....
Mega Shows Blues, he must be a really good actor or just hard-headed and stupid.... then again he owes Wily for reactivating him.
Hard to say really.
All I know is, Evil Blues is a funny stereotype, even EXE had one. |

Bass classic didn't have any anime apparition. That is bad. And I think we will never see a good classic TV serie with bass; I buy the mega shows (Zone 1 DVd are hard to read) and the episode with X and mandrill is surely one of the best only because there is action. The mega shows is not a good serie. You should prefer Rockman OAV. _________________ Pray Megaman as your God. |

Well, it used to be that cartoons weren't about action-packed fight scenes, they were about producing humorous episodes that you could laugh at. The Mega Shows are good episodes of their own standing, and they do have their followers.
According to the HHMP, the third season had only one episode. And then the proverbial cord was pulled, what a shame.
LBD_Nytetrayn has a point, maybe el Proto wasn't going to be such a good guy in the planning stages, he just happened to get stuck with that job in the final product. _________________

*cracks knuckles* Some of us like the Mega Shows, thank you very much. It introduced people who don't play many games to the series, including me.

Protoman? Straight and narrow? He never quite struck me that way... _________________ Also known as Atreyu452. Icon credit goes to hobbit_marked on livejournal.com.
