Stream 28: Pink Punch Mayl!

OMG. I was right on the money. Netto was getting his ass whooped, so that's what explains the DA with the Rush Synchro Chip. And R-Roll became a reality. And there's a chance that Meiru might get a Net Savior status. Thank you God. Now, on to the smaller points.

1. I think the hair was just covered behind Meiru. It does taper outwards as it does down, and the camera only zoomed in on Meiru's upper half. *Edit* After watching it again, I can say I was wrong. It is part of the helmet.

2. From what Engrish I heard, it seems to me like Mejin was just interested in Shademan's RSC as a way to combat Asteroid Navis with Dimensional Chips on much shorter notice, so he just started researching it.

3. So they reused Axess footage. Big deal. If R-Roll gets shown again (which is what I'm really, really hoping for), there's no doubt in my mind that she'll get her own little transformation sequence, like Yuriko did. Possibly even a new outfit, fresh out of a plot hole (but that's not a really important, since she could have merely been dreaming of the Progress PET CF look back in Axess, like blazequest said).

4. I'm personally happy Dekao got blown up. No more R-Gutsman and Dekao once again proved he's an excellent comic relief character.

5. I also don't care too much about the logic behind it, though it does make sense. Enzan and Blue have a higher synchro ratio than Netto and Rockman, even though Netto and Rockman seem to be better friends. So long as the synchro ratio is high enough CF can be performed and sustained. And considering Yuuichirou said Roll and Meiru were good candidates for CF, it makes sense. Besides, it's not like Meiru was "Okay, sure!" She was quite reluctant at first, so it turned out pretty well, IMO.

6. Josuke, though I don't know Japanese, it seems to me like Rush only hated CF because of what Shademan did to him. Furthermore, didn't Yuuichirou say that he didn't understand how Rush and the Neko Virus could materialize back in the vanilla series?

6. Hopefully, Rush might get used to it. Maybe not enthusiastic about it, but used to it. From there, a second Synchro Chip might get put on his little necklace... yeah, heh heh.

Aw, poor Dex, he tried so hard and yet came up empty handed. Actually I half-expected something to go wrong with CF Gutsman, but not an explosion though, lol. That scene with Yuuichiro getting Dex off his back with that merchandise bit was also pretty hilarious. CF Roll was pretty cool, but it was obvious that her henshin sequence was recycled from Axess. They didn't even bother swap out the Advance Pet for the Progress One in the beginning of it. --;; Anyway I have a feeling that CF Roll might be a one episode deal.

Enzan and Raoul are back with Drillman next week which is nice since we haven't seen those two in awhile.

Sketch- I won't argue with that, but since I don't know a lot of Japanese, I basically just use the episode summaries from Ryouko and Heatman, plus my own common sense as to what's going on in the actual episode, to write my own full-length summaries U^^

Blazequest- Good point.

Falcovs- I like Flashman too, but like I said, Neo WWW needs more members for more situations, ATSUKI AND BURNERMAN GODAMMIT!!! ._.

Webbuilder- Actually, in that sense of reused footage, it was almost as iff her dream was a premonition o.o

Raijin- Yup, top link, but be quick, as the bandwith of the episode links can be devoured in a cyberinstant XD I'll let you make the episode summary for the next one though, as I said.

Neko- Even if the other CFers DID take their helmets off, it's not that bigga deal. It would be more of a big deal if the NAVIs themsevles took off the helmets.

Junkman- True, but in her summon chip from all of the MMBN games she just goes over to the closest moving object and bitchslapps it 3 times..."so basically she's just a slap-happy HOO-A." Also regarding the appaearance of the other Classic series animal helpers, that's actually a good idea o_o

I think most people are making a big fuss about removing the helmet because it's kind of like the 2nd season of Power Rangers. All of a sudden everyone realized they could remove their helmets!

I feel bad for Dex he's been shoved behind alot, but in the first season he was in every other episode.

I really want to see the scene where Viddy gets a fit about R-Roll's costume.

I can see Rush getting used to this.

My only concern is that it will be a one shot deal. I hope that's not the case, but given Rush's current wuss attitude, that seems likely. But maybe Lan will bug his dad to get off his butt and help Maylu preform CF w/o the Rush Syncro Chip.

CF Roll = Instant win.

I'm fine with the old design, even the henshin scene(though it would be a lot better if it wasn't Enzan's old henshin scene), but they should have at least re-made the SC slot-in and PET glowing scenes so that Meiru is holding the Progress PET.

Ok finally saw ep. Ever since Enzan left I was wondering if Netto would ever get worn out since he's pretty much the only defense against Neo WWW, until lately and even then thats if Yuriko happens to be nearby. Apparently he does which is good as Netto seemed too superheroish lately and its nice to know he isn't invincible. This also fits an idea I thought they might do a while ago in which Netto carries an extra Synchro chip around with him incase he needs help, in which the chip could work with his token "pal" of the ep. Also i noted that the rush chip doesn't seem to need a D-Area to work in. However I won't count on seeing R-Roll too often(possibly not even till Stream's final battle, which i'm predicting will be a massive cross fusion free for all.) as it seemed the whole point of the ep was to get the Roll fanboys to shut up for awhile with the reused footage and all.

This brings me to my next point. This has got to be the cheapest episode of Rockman I have ever seen. I count about 60% of the ep as being stock or reused footage, which includes, the usual R-Rockman henshin, the fight with Beastman, Rush being worked on, most of the fight with Videoman, R-Roll's entire scene up til she takes off her helmet, various shots of the characters talking standing around etc, and get this, half of the preview from the next ep. Maybe its always been like this and the R-Roll stuff only made it more noticible(not that I didn't enjoy it even if it was all old footage, after all I enjoy Gundam Seed which its pretty much the same 10 shots of Gundams blowing up grunts over and over again.)

As a side note I notice a lot of people complaining, and or dreading more CF characters. I must ask why? Isn't that better than R-Rockman spamming battle chips all the damn time? I mean if Cross fusing with their navi means more screen time for a character then bring it on. R-Search Magnet, and Needle seemed very cool to me especially how Yuriko owned Tesla just by using hand to hand.

Not that the whole seperate worlds thing wasn't great as well, but the writers seemed to have thrown that out the window. I guess humans being in physical danger for navis, better than navi's causing chaos and just being generally annoying to the network.

I'm not too fond of the re-use of the Axess footage either, is that me or the artists are gettin' more and more lazy? Actions poses and scenes are gettin' really stiffy, there's no way as much action as it used to be on the previous EXE and Axess series...
Anyway, R-Roll could take off her helmet.... you guys noticed there was Roll's ponytail hanging from it? Hope this doesn't bring back the old topic if Navis can take off their helmets or not...

I love Roll's antennas anyway. BITCHSLAP.

They go to the trouble to re-draw Netto and Enzan's henshin sequences on the one occasion where they're not wearing their normal clothes (Stream 7)... but they can't do the simple task of giving Meiru a new henshin?

It's not so much that her old one is reused, but the henshin style is different in Stream (instead of their armor drifting around and attaching like puzzle pieces, Stream's are much faster-paced)... that and the PET Advance shots, and just about everything R Roll did was reused from Axess. It's not so much the continuity with the series that bothers me... after all, when Misaki fused, he looked the exact same as Prisman... and Yuriko didn't get a new design with the Progress PETs either...

But they went through all this trouble to give R Roll another shot in the spotlight, and they conveyed it like it's a really big deal that'll be reused in the series later... yet they tossed it together so half-assed. Stream has obliterated the Cross Fusion concept... as much as we like to see our favorite characters merge with their navis... none of it makes sense anymore.

We might as well toss in R Aquaman around now...

You know with all the old footage in this ep, maybe something coming up is really expensive to draw and they are saving money.

And considering that some important episodes are coming soon, I could very easily see that being the case this time.

I think the only things not reused from Axess were the Roll Whip and the Black Hole, (for the backflip move, I'm pretty sure that they just reused Roll's move from the Axess Roll Soul episode and airbrushed a skirt). But this was kind of disappointing seeing old footage, but as its been said, this CF Roll is better than no CF Roll at all.

And I'm fairly sure that CF Roll will be back. (I think I'm driving you purists crazy calling it CF Roll, but that's the English term) Once a Cross Fusion premiers, there's no stopping it.

Here's hoping that there's better footage in future eps!!
