What's your favorite series of Megaman?

My top favorite is EXE, then the Zero series. The original holds a special place in my heart since it got me to the Rockman fandom. I'm not much for the X series, but the thing I like about it is their repliroid designs. They're so fun to draw. =3 And for Dash/Legends, I haven't played it, so I can't say if I like or hate it. Kobuns are cute though. =P

The first one is just called Megaman ("Megaman Sidescrollers" by someones, but I think it isn't official)

Here's my opinion:

1_ Battle Network since it's RPG style got me into Rockman again

2_ Zero because I like the shady Zero and depressing history

3_ Dash just plain fun, good looking and somehow as adult as Zero series

4_ X since they kill characters.

1. EXE (what do you think? XD)

2. Zero (awesome gameplay, Zero)

3. Classic (I've played all except Battle and Chase)

4. X (I don't like the PS controllers. Otherwise, nice)

It's a tie between classic and BN for me. Mostly because I like the robot masters a lot, which is what interests me the most in a Mega Man game. The other series are ok but don't have the feeling classic and BN has.

X series. It's my favorite entirely, the character designs are awesome, the gameplay is classic yet fun, and it's the only series I don't get fed up with. Least favorite would either be EXE or Classic, classic is boring, and EXE designs annoy me. That, and the whole "I control you, for I am the operator!11 >:OOOOO" thing annoys me, and enzan is the angst equivalent of sasuke from naruto. -.-

1st Rockman Classic - The original and most of the time, the best.
2nd MMBN - I used to like MMBN better than MMC but after the 4th game, my interest in the mmbn games got smaller. I don´t like where this is going...new style and too much "Axess" in it all -.-
3rd MMX - Cool designs, nice music but...maybe a tad too serious for me.
4rd MMZ - Same as MMX. A bit too dark : /
Still..I luv all of the series ^.^

my favorite series would have to be the Zero series mainly because it's alot more dark toned then the other series
well this is how the other series rank for me
2nd- RMX- mainly because of Zero and the fact that it's more dark toned than the classic series
3rd- RMEXE- pretty good for an alternate universe where rockman is controlled by 10 year old =P
4th-RM Classic- eh not that dark more of a colorful lively type, in other words not my style =T
5th- RM Dash-.....no comment

Well, like most people here, I like the EXE series. Why?

1: The remade verisons of the bosses are much better looking. They don''t look nearly as ugly. Like Junkman, or Fireman. Look at them back then...ugly and bulky.

2: They have a story in EXE, an stale one as of late.

3: The bosses are a lot harder.I've played Megaman and Bass, BN 3 and 4, MMX 1 and MMZ3. Going back through all of them, [spoil:62941187a2]"Alpha and Duo" [/spoil:62941187a2]Still give me more trouble than Wily, Sigma, and Weil's Numbers.

1st place: Rockman Zero
reason:
-because Zero kicks pantheon rear and splashes blood across the screen, and because imo has the better storyline and endbosses ever, but hey, compared X/Elpis/Omega with Dr.Wily/Sigma or the Dreamvirus/Gospel/ Proto/Duo and the upcomming, and well, Dr.Wily's bald, so is Sigma, wich makes them naturally UNCOOL, and the BN bosses look very...awkward...
anyways, boast best speeding gameplay over ALL series! also it makes me feel great, everytime I die, since it's almost never...
and ofcourse the fact that it brings along Elpis, wich Is THE game character wich I can relate to most, since our personalities are somewhat similar, and damn, what wouldn't I do for long blonde hair and a pink coat!

2nd Place: Original Rockman
reason:
-because it's the very fundamentals that now enable the newer generation games...also I like it so much because every game has always one Robot Master wich I like, with a the top Pharaohman, and it's basiclly the best platformer games series start ever.

3rd Place: Rockman X
reason:
-because I can really sympathize with X and Zero, I feel like understanding their every move, wich makes it always a special event, a new X game, though I have yet to get used to Axl, I appreaciate his sense of humor, and of the Irregulars of X7, though it lacks a certain amount of speed, X4-6 anyways...may seem a bit weird, but I would' ve supported Lumine's plan...his retirement was not right imo...

4th Place: Rockman EXE Battle Network
Reason:
-yay! EXE is a lot of fun, when collecting, and I can feel with Rockman and Netto, but It's not nearly as superb as the above mentioned series, plus, RMEXE 4 was a total plunge down the drain, my god that game is SO dull it's rather annoying aswell...and it is slow...very slow, plus point is that it is a great tribute to a majority of Robot Masters, adn Forte, plus addintional characters: Serenade for instance, though...they masacered Pharaohman, and I will never forgive them for that...

5th Place: Rockman Dash
reason:
-no surprise here, I know very little of this game, and it feels strangely rockmanish, but I have no clear judgement ready, I really liked how capcom ripped a classic musicpiece for use as BGM on Bluechers ship after the Snow Elephant Reaverbot...(DASH 2)

on par with other games, nothing beats good old rockman, not in numbers and not in greatness...

I like the x series for the fact the you don't have to wait for the battle chip screen to load and the better boss fights. but I like exe better because you don't need to follow the main quest if you don't want to and the cooler design for charcters. Plus Soul unison from the exe series.
