-Well, the trials for the other EvilChips are not so difficult, as long as you have a decently smooth folder. By "decently smooth", I mean being able to use on the average of three chips a turn. This generally means no more than three codes in a folder (four is really pushing it). If you have a decent unicoded folder, go ahead and use it. For example, I used a T-coded hobo Silver Bullet to take the trials, and they did quite well for me.
-Pack plenty of Invis and Popup *, as they will be quite handy.
-Set up the NC to draw eight chips a turn. Yes, both programs are quite large, but having more to draw from gives you a wider scope to play from.
-For the trials with the Arachy viruses, it is OK to sideboard in a Slasher or two. If the Trumpy viruses have you mad, use a Lance or two.
That's all I can think of for now... _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! But they'll have to avoid the Whammy, as they play the most exciting game of their lives! From Television City in Hollywood! It's time to 'Press Your Luck!'--Rod Roddy

XD chip codes. you won't imagine what variety of random ones i use. serious. somehow its not even no good.. somehow its really great. just a weird folder.. everyone probably will laugh at it ^_^
well the three chips thing is what i try to go with, which is fairly easy for me to get. slashers i have in abundance.... i keep two just for arachyEXs and milkoEXs... and only problems i get are from water and elec types because of my lack of using elec and wood chips... thats why i put in an anti aqua.
will this work? *tries blakwing guardian again* |

Also, if you want, have the ever useful Bugstop NCP in your NC to completely stop worrying about goofing in the customizing of your Megaman. |

That could work, but then you would want multiples. The worst thing you need is that the trap is sprung, fails to kill the threat entirely, and you would be left defenseless. Try to find chips that owuld be useful. Thunder1 * is a good example. (My folder was T-coded so I could use Thunder3 T). Stunning opponents gives you a decent opening. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! for duo. i think i uses these programs
buster pack
2 hp+ 500
attack + 1
bugstop
yea as you can see I like the buster,
use chips such as:
longsword/blade
widesword/blade
sword
wide shot
program advances!!!
red sun/blue moon
area grab
invis
hp recover (you will need them recommed: 150,120 and 300 no 10 and 30s! they take up space and are useless!)
repair
antidamage (saved my life)
gun de sols
Navi chips! (aka roll, searchman, sparkman those kind of hits)
I'd recommed not to use every soul that you have, just ones with strong distance attacks or recovery (thanks to the two posts below) such as Roll or Blues.
just to say, on cont 2 I owned him with the buster, i took only 700 damage at the end, er I think the only recover chip i used was 300.
The stronger your chips the better. But I have to say, people have their own way of fighting, me I kill them off with the buster, others may use souls or chips to kill.
So I'm sorry to what i have said before. _________________

I disagree with that. Blues Soul with a Area Steal means you can dish out quite a bit of damage with the charged shot. Plug in things like Invisible and it works even better. _________________ (\ ºvº\ (\

^ I agree. RollSoul was a godsend here. Waiting each turn, using Atk+10s for HP back was what I needed to recharge myself each round. _________________ I can't help you. I don't speak English.

Say is it possible to have custom style such as getting more than 5 chips? Also is there a reason why I can't get rid of chips like in the 3rd game for extra chips? _________________ Avatar by May, many flowers and thanks for the wonderful avatar. |

You can use NumberSoul to get 10 chips on the custom screen for three turns. Otherwise you have to use the Custom1/2 Navicust programs. I suppose the Add function was removed for BN4 is because it's no longer neccessary. Perhaps the game designers felt with the other modifications they made to the gameplay system leaving the Add function in would create an imbalance in the difficulty level. Either that or they only had room for the Soul Unison button and the OK button on the Custom Screen. |

The reason that occurred is because the "ADD" function got slashed in favor of Soul Unisons. The only way to have more than the default five chips at opening hand is through Custom+ programs in the NC or via NumberSoul, I think. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! DreamSword. GunDelSol. Invis. Dodging skills.
Those are the four basic tenets of Duo busting at the start. At least for me. _________________ I can't help you. I don't speak English.

That is so true...if I never learned Duo's attacks, and had a crap load of Invis chips...I'd probably be still stuck on Game 3.
Here is an interesting tidbit: When Duo uses Meteor Knuckle (When he makes it rain his fists), He won't do anything for a small amount of time as he recuperates, that's when you strike! It's that small delay in his continous slaughtering of you can you actually inflict a crap load of damage (At least for me).
As for dodging the two hand swipes, AreaGrab is your friend.
That blasted laser is the most annoying of his attacks...able to dispel Invis if struck...just stay in the top or bottom rows and like every other laser ring will hit the middle...I think
I don't know what you call the move when he fires a red hologram of an enlarged picture of his face...but just get the back row and fast!
When four panels in the shape of a square begin to flash, he's using the Justice Fist. But, as you whittle his HP down, he'll pull two off, one after another.
In conclusion, since the Meteor Knuckle and that Face attack of his crack and or destroy panels, the Airshoes NCP is to be greatly considered when customizing Megaman before the big showdown.
Hopefully, the other infomation I've provided is helpful in anyway. |

I will say that it takes much patience to rid of Duo. If you find him hard now, you will be pulling your hair out for DuoSP. It is a good idea, that once you've learned how to dodge, just max out your buster. Given time, Duo will go down with buster alone...I don't know how many times I have said that...
If you need a window, then perhaps Thunder1/2/3 chips may be helpful. They will buy you time to pull whatever crap you have at them. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! duo is like a huge fat guy who cant cover his ..... *cough*. forget i said that.
like im saying, just practice dodging for a few battles. here are some tips-
mines will stop his missiles and i think his bomb-ball things.
when he shoots out the laser, the extra ring around it moves around and hurts you. you can avoid this by getting on another line of panels from the one he's attacking and looking out for the ring. it hits like this-
[ ][ ][ ]
[ ][1][ ]
[ ][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ]
[2][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ]
[ ][3][ ]
[ ][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ]
[4?][ ][4?]
[ ][ ][ ]
see the "?"s with 4? i have no idea how it hits so someone pls tell me. remember, those are ONLY your panels.
his hand attacks are cool to watch, but not get hit by. moving a little slower than random button presses should help, watch for the yellow panels. up-down-up-down works sometime for me.. or else its probably luck.
hope that helps with your dodging. _________________

Ripped directly from a guide...

DUO=Duo (no ****)
X=beam down the middle (super-pierces)
His rings will go like the following: 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3. They will come
faster than before, so have good reflexes. |
For the first run through, his beam will hit 1, 2, 3, 4. Each subsequent game will add another number to the pattern. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! The rings from his beam hit like this at first. I don't know if it changes later on. The lowest I've wittled him down to is 1300... ~.~

I can dodge the beam just fine. It's the missles and that bazillion punch (I self dubbed it that because he punches, like, a bazillion times and I can never dodge it.) attack that kill me. I don't like his arm swipe thing, too, the one where he swipes two rows with each arm.

You guys said that it was a good idea to get alot of invis chips and max out the buster as well as getting airshoes, right? I'll take that advice. And what souls are best to use against duo? I have Roll, Guts, and Searchsoul.
