yea, slasher is good on fishy, but theres almost no other usethat i've found. I thought escape was worthless because if worse comes to worse, you can hit the L button in the chip selection screen to run. And by the way, escape isn't only in bn1, its in bn2 also. _________________ I still need a picture |

Only Fishy? Give me a break. The games have tons of enemies that show up in your area.
Snappers, Powereds, Yuras, Mushies, Magneakers, Dominerds, Killbies, Null, Ghosts, Shadows, Megalians, Brushmen, Elebees, Heavies, Eleballs, NeedleCasters, Momogra, Pulmelo, Spiders, Sabotekoron, Dricrawl, Uzrim, Chample, RoyHawks, Draglins, WoodNotes, Pikala, Protoman, Quickman, Shadowman, Magnetman, Toadman, Bass, Beastman, Drillman, Metalman, Kingman, Roll, Burnerman, Shademan, Kendoman, Footman, and more I'm possibly forgetting. All prime targets for Slasher. |

Gonna have to go with Recover10. Especially against bosses.
Rockman: "I'm getting beat badly here!"
Netto: "Battlechip, Recover10, slot-in!"
*Rockman regains 10 HP*
Rockman: "Than... WAHHH!"
*Rockman is hit with Desertman's Lion Head and deleted. GAME OVER.* _________________

At best, it would be used in conjunction with UnderSht and would buy the user one more hit. It has its uses, especialy when RollSoul becomes a factor. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! Come on! It's not like you have a lot of choice at the beginning of the game with recov10, at least you can find recov30... _________________ Avatar by May, many flowers and thanks for the wonderful avatar. |

Yeah, I don't think low-level chips should count in this discussion. Then again I don't think about 90% of the chips mentioned should count. But at least for low-level chips you should consider that they're meant to be replaced later on. At the very beginning of the game the enemies do 10 dmg per hit, so Recov10 isn't that useless. |

Tornado in BN3. It's too inacurate. Unfortunately, that's how my charge buster id in BN3, which explains why I never charge. I'm going to have to go with AntiSwod, also. Use a freakin AntiDmg. BEST CHIP EVER. Next to Magnums. _________________

Really? Tornado is quite good...at least in the Serenade Time Trials. Plop a SandStage, stun your opponent, and watch the damage pile up quickly.
Many of the Anti-chips besides AntiDamage are far too situational to see any use in serious folders. They are, however, quick sideboard choices when you know the archetype of the folder your opponent is using. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! Far too situational? Maybe. But IceStage+AntiElec against ToadMan can do 800 damage. Toss in an Elec +40 and you've got a one-hit kill. |

About half this thread is already dedicated to explaining why Slasher isn't useless. Is your insubstantial post the result of not reading any of the other replies or a defiant stand against everyone that's already disproved your claim? |

Fine, if not Recover 10, then... Object Repair.
"Oooh! A pretty Stone Cube! I don't want to see it harmed, so I'll use Object Repair! ...Oh! Junk Soul! Now I can use the pretty pretty Stone Cube that I wasted precious seconds defending as a weapon by sacrificing it completely!"
...Josu's so gonna kill me for this one. -_-; _________________

There are other objects besides Stone Cube, you know. Like, I dunno, Poison Pharaoh?
Stick that down, the enemy tries to destroy it, use Object Repair at the last second, and he has to chip away at it all over again. Get twice as much life out of your poison spewing sarcophagus. |

Because you know ToadMan's archetype is electrical attacks. Thus you can plan ahead. Otherwise, when facing a random opponent, it is up to chance whether the chip will be useful. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! Facing specific opponents isn't a situation to gloss over though. Link Battling a real opponent isn't the end-all be-all of these games. In fact one of the most significant challenges in each game is S-Ranking every navi opponent, and their predictability can make traps pretty useful. |

Even still, the S-ranking of navis is more or less a chore. The AI for the navis is difficult, I'll admit, but not the pinnacle of difficulty. The true test is facing a human opponent, since an AI player cannot think, make plans, err, adapt to changing battle plans, learn from past mistakes, and so on. All it uses is an alpha-beta pruning system to determine the best moves for the given time. It's not unlike computer chess opponents. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! I don't think it was horrible, it's just hard to connect. If you're able to connect with it it can do major damage, and you can always go into Search Soul (If you have RS that is) with it if you don't want to try and connect it, and that's not too bad if you ask me. _________________ Name shortened from Serenade.exe |
