Hey, has anyone played this game yet?
I've been playing SFO for so long I am now in the higher ranks.
My username is: SaitoKojima
Password: iamnottellingyoubecauseigotnuts (HAHAHAHAAHA!!!)
The game is found here: www.streetfighteronline.com
Best to just play the Web Version. So you don't have to download anything.
Well, tell me if you play this game and let me know your usernames. Maybe I've seen you in the heat of battle before....
I love using the Rage Factor attacks!! |

I found the controls really lacking, but it was good enough for an online game. _________________

I found it rather, well.....dumb.
The hit detection was downright pathetic. I'd be swinging and swinging at my opponents and never hit them, even though they stood right in front of me.
Figuring out moves was more trial-and-error than anything else, since they're not displayed.
Some of the moves were also poorly programmed. Spiderman's Maximum Spider would hit my block-once-then magically go through me and my block to hit me the rest of the times. Blocking other super moves also resulted in taking almost as much damage as if they hadn't been blocked. When playing as Cyclops, I was able to get my super meter to 3, then do Super Optic Blasts repeatedly without ever depleting my super bar.
While I congratulate the game maker for doing as much as he did, I'm sad to say that the game has a LONG way to go before being really something to get excited about. I mean, hell, it might not be online, but M.U.G.E.N is way better than this if you want a good fighting game. It might be a do-it-yourself game, but, geeze, atleast all the gameplay coding is ready. _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

I must say while good for a webgame I think it sucks(we can say that here right?) But I may just be annoyed that my controller doesn't hook up to my computer and I had to try to hit things with a keyboard. :grr: |

I think I remember something like this from a while back, which was X-men vs Street Fighter online, and I did have fun with it. However, I thought it was closed down due to legal issues? _________________

M.U.G.E.N is a do-it-yourself fighting game engine. What you do is you download the base engine, then go and download different fighters and stages from people who've made them. Last time I checked, there were fighters and stages available from almost every 2-d fighting game out there, and even some 3-d ones. PM if you want details. _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

Google and ye shall find. Just search for "mugen" and you'll find some stuff. I know MugenFury is one place to get a bunch of stuff; it's in another language, but it's fairly easy to find your way around, and they have a nice selection. It's certianly a good substitute for MugenGuild. They also have the latest version of Mugen for Windows, so it's worth stopping by if only for that. _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

nice, nice.
I just found out one of my best friends is a VIP in that game. He told me he can get like Dark Ken and Evil Ryu. Or something like that.
And when I play Story mode it's all... wierd.. If I choose Ryu and Sakura, and when I switch chars in game from Sakura to Ryu, Sakura comes out but then it takes a while for Ryu to come in. It's kinda wierd... |

The problem I go through is what I only hate.
I am kicking the enemy's ass in Online mode, and he doesn't take any damage!! It takes a few minutes for the thing to show his health meter deplete. But, the damage I take is normal. And for some reason, it is IMPOSSIBLE to stop the Raging Demon. Or Super Bison's Psycho Crusher.
But, other than that, I like this game. I currently am using Evil Ryu and Evil Ken as my usual team. Ken is awesome in this game!! Better than Ryu!! (SHOCKING) |
