I personally think this game is going to ruin the frachise(sp?) and it also shows how desperate the developers are to use such a modern cliche in a game that has been pretty good until recently(the game notthe cliche). Anyhow some one made a great theory about it which was this takes place straight after the ARK was raided by G.U.N, so Shadow doesn't know how to use the homing attack and stuff.....though this was killed when you see Shadow use it in the trailer

On a different topic thingy since this topic is about Sonic the Hedgehog, right?[spoil:02fe5ec67d]How do you hit Shadow, in the last Hero boss in SA2B, after he has less than half health? He just keeps jumping when I try to homing attack him [/spoil:02fe5ec67d] >_< and who else loves the City Escape(SA2) BGM :D

This topic is actually for discussing Shadow the Hedgedog, so I guess we should have to fix that. << *fixes topic*

I think he meant the series in general, which Shadow will technically be a part of >.>

This might be a bit off but, in the Sonic X series on TV, what happened to Shadow in the end?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Sonic X a direct rip from Sonic Adventure 2, with characters and story? If so, then it is logical to think that whatever happened to Shadow in Sonic X is the same as what happened to him in the game.

I don't see what the big deal about giving Shadow guns and vehicles is. It's the same treatment Wario got. Wario at first was basically an evil Mario, but Mario has nothing to do with treasure or pirates, and powerups that effect the hat rather than Mushrooms and Fireflowers, but that didn't stop Wario Land from succeeding.

I don't see the connection at all; Shadow has a bunch of things he doesn't need, but it's not the same case at all for Wario.

Wario can use all Mario's powers, yet he still got different ones. Mario didn't ever need a dinosaur to ride, but that didn't stop Yoshi from working out. Megaman went through two games without Rush, but that didn't Rush from working out. Sonic handled his first game just fine without a sidekick, but that didn't stop Tails. Just because something wasn't needed before doesn't mean that adding it is automatically bad.

Yes he did. In the Shadow arc AKA the SA2 Adaptation.

and in the second season in Japan, Rouge finds him in a stasis pod just like in Heroes

As for Shadow the Hedgehog, I'd really wish you people would wait before you bash it in. I remember there being a lot of hype centered around Heroes only for it to be released and get smashed to pieces. Maybe it'll be vice-versa with this.

And as for Shadow not needing a gun....Well it seems everyone has forgotten that Shadow can't fire those energy bolts WITHOUT A FREAKING CHAOS EMERALD! He needs something to fill that void until then. And so what if he uses guns and swords with his speed. His speed is a very deadly weapon y'know. Now think how much deadlier it would be when he's carrying weapons? Besides, the villains are apparently an alien race so maybe he needs weaponary to combat them. They might be immune to his other "non-Chaos Control" abilities.

Gotta go with Falcon on this. I'm not exactly thrilled about Shadow having a gun and such, but I can't really say much without having actually played the game.

And I don't know why everybody hates Heroes so much... I thought it was a good game. :puku:

But I digress.

Actually, he has demonstrated the ability to use his power without an emerald.

Next well see "Everyone knows that clothes are too heavy to fly!" for rouge's new outfit in Shadow the Hedgehog 2.

How do we know he's not secretly carrying one with him? In Heroes, even if you didn't have any emeralds yet, Team Dark's Team Attack had Shadow pull out the Green Emerald use it to activate Chaos Control.

Although you do prove a point. In the trailers, he's attacking with the power. Heck that surrounding energy field move was his Power ability in Sonic Battle. Pretty much all of his big moves in that game called for Chaos Control and he pulled it off without an emerald. (Well technically, he HAD an emerald but gave it up to Emerl near the end in his episode. Just where the hell is he getting the damn things?) So I guess he's learned to use "some" of his Chaos Control abilities on his own yet he can only unlock it's true power when he has an Emerald to feed off of.

Shadow can jump at things at amazingly high speeds and generally instantly destroy them. (that is, not counting heroes, with the levels and all that) I can't see how standing around a gun would be more useful.

Mario can walk around normally and throw certain items, but can't pick everything up. Using Yoshi allows him to take an extra hit and pick just about everything up.

Rush provides special abilites with various transformations such as a jet, spring, and even submarine.

Tails not only can* collect missed rings and defeat passed 'bots, but he can also fly up with Sonic, allowing him to reach higher points. :O

*In theory, of course. We all know that AI Tails sucks. :/

Edit:
