Shadow was always better than Sonic so i guess making a game off of him would be a great change. And besides, we have Shadow now so no need for Sonic. :] _________________

Oh please. You actually think this game would be interesting? Shadow has been around for what, 3-4 years maybe? Now he's suddenly better than Sonic? Sonic is the whole reason Shadow even EXISTS. Unless you think Shadow's better be cause he's "Dark and Mysterious" if you would look closer...Sonic and Shadow are EXACTLY the same. Except they look different. They have the same moves.
If anything, I'll rent this game...maybe. Guns don't mix with Sonic. I liked the targeting Gamma, Eggman, and Tails did, but a gun is just stupid. _________________

Nah, Shadow just looks cooler. Guns really shouldn't exist in the sonic world other than the use with Eggman. Well i bet its gonna be crappier than Sonic Heroes. But still, Sonic would still have his shining days seeing as how Shadow would have to encounter him in the game. _________________

Shadow looks cooler? Cooler? So if Megaman was black and had red streaks he would be cool too right?
Oh and it's for PS2, thats why Shadow has a gun.

Sonic Heroes was horrid >_<, this new Shadow game is hopefully better than it was. Hope the gun doesn't take away from any sense of speed like Sonic Heroes had dun with switching out. _________________ (( X-cessively Excesive ))

With this new information it doesn't sound so bad,
Sega has "officially announced" Shadow The Hedgehog today, and with the announcement comes some new details and screenshots from the game we all love to hate. There's also a hint at even more spin-off games from the Sonic franchise.
The game is currently in development at Sega Studio USA and is being directed by Takashi Iizuka.
UPDATE: According to WorthPlaying, Sega plans to release Shadow the Hedgehog on all current generation console platforms in Winter 2005.
Quote:
Shadow The Hedgehog allows players to collect an arsenal of weapons, vehicles, and objects to rocket through more than 50 missions. In his feature debut, Shadow is tormented by a dark past, struggling to discover his true identity. He is caught in a complex battle between aliens, the G.U.N. army, and Dr. Eggman, and discovers that he may be the very element that will tip the scales between good and evil forever.
"Since we first introduced him in Sonic Adventure 2, we have wanted to feature Shadow in his own game," said Takashi Iizuka, Game Director, Sega Studio USA. "We maintained Shadow as a mysterious character and now fans can control his destiny by engaging in a unique gameplay experience that offers a multitude of possibilities!"
"The Sonic franchise has sold more than 38-million units worldwide and SEGA plans to support this new brand with a complimentary lineup of new Sonic products across all platforms in 2005," said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America, Inc. "We expect Shadow The Hedgehog to be a cornerstone title in this strategy as well as a new and dynamic brand for Sega."
"Bringing a brand new game into the market with such quality as Shadow The Hedgehog is extremely exciting for us," commented Matt Woodley, Marketing Director of SEGA Europe. "We are highly confident that this is something that gamers of all ages will want to play."
Is he an android created by Dr. Eggman? Is he the original Shadow simply suffering from amnesia? Or is there an even more sinister explanation? Now, gamers will decide in a race against time by choosing between any number of routes by which to unveil the secrets of his past. Multiple endings will reflect critical decisions at every stage of the game. Gamers have ultimate control over Shadow's past, with the potential to rewrite his history time and time again.
You see this is just one game sega's sonic team are making with the sonic characters. |

Guess they're trying give Shadow the kind of start Wario had. I just hope that the emphasis on grinding SA2 and Heroes had is lessened. I hate grinding levels. _________________ Red Green's words of wisdom:

You're no fun you know that? It's true that the grinding levels in SA2 were hard at first but once you got used to the feel of them, it became a lot more fun. You do have a point about Heroes' Grinding levels. Can't imagine how many of those I went through WITHOUT being in flying formation. |

I like Warioware Touched, it was soooo funny. Maybe if Shadow didn't have a gun the game wouldn't sound that bad. Why shoot when you can bounce on enemies? |

I'm interested in this...
Sega did this once before on Gamegear with Tails (he got his own game, where he got to use different types of weapons and machines) and IMO it's a very good game.
Also, Sega recently held a survey that apparently had some stuff for gamers to give their opinions, so they could improve their future games or something, so hopefully that'll help this game.
And about the Sonic/Shadow being better thing, I think both sides need to cool down a bit. Some people are going to like Shadow better or the other way around and there's no helping that.
Also, it's not a good idea to state your opinion as a fact. Even though it doesn't look like the intention in this case from your response afterwards, that kind of thing gets people angry pretty easily. |

I do think that this game has a great deal of potencial mainly because of shadow's past:Is he the real shadow or is he a fake?,and the ultimate life form who he once thought he was.I've wtached the trailer to the game and it doesn't appeal to me in the slightest many because:
1.I didn't thing sonic heroes looked quite good and so I bought it,but this look atrocious!
2.Guns>Sonic (NOPE) GUNS>SHADOW(SUPERNOPE) :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr:
3.But it might be good who knows.
P.s if anyone wants spoilers like what happend to shadow after s.a.2 on space conely ark private message me! |

Hey, someone else remembers Tails' Adventures. That game rocked. Plus they did another spinoff, Knuckles' Chaotix for 32X (the only good game on that system) |

Shadow, OK. I liked him in SA2. But handing him a tommy gun really drives people away. Why does a hedgehog that can manipulate the very fabric of space-time need a friggin machine gun? _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks!
