Here it is, my first, likely only summary. (Unless there's another ep dedicated to Skullman) I won't waste time.

Ultra-Condensed Version: Chaud teams up with Raoul to hunt down Rat who's using Asteroid Drillman to capture the three "Unlock Programs" capable of opening any lock. Several years ago Barrel and Colonel arrested the Jackass to originally use these programs. Meanwhile, Lan has to struggle to open a stuck drawer with his PET inside. Thunderman and Protoman fight Drillman, then R-Protoman fights R-Drillman, then Thunderman uncerimoniously deletes Drillman back in the CyberWorld, then the Unlock Programs suddenly activate and open every lock in the world, including the one on Lan's drawer.

Long Version:

As the episode starts, Lan is searching for something deperately in his room, it seems he accidently locked his PET in a drawer. We don't get much time to focus on him though, 'cause this episode takes place in Amerope.

The setting is a series of darkened tunnels, both in the cyberworld and real world. A generic brown navi is staring at a glowing cylinder reminiscent of a DA generator and a bucktoothed man is operating him (with those teeth it can only be "Rat") It seems Chaud and Protoman are hot on their trail though. After navigating through the maze-like network Protoman confronts Rat's navi. The misguided navi pulls out a longsword expecting to beat Blues at his own game. He responds with a Variable Sword and only has time to dodge his opponent's first attack when the tunnels suddenly fill with light. Rat's PET glows blindingly. This can only mean a visit from Slur.

Slur floats between the two navis, and Protoman is the first to make a move with a Sonic Boom attack. Slur doesn't even flinch as it's deflected off. Then Slur instantly vaporizes Rat's navi and replaces him with the Drillmeister. Rat is surprised, but adapts to the situation easily enough as he takes is Dimensional Chip from the PET (Oh, it's an Advanced PET by the way). Somewhere between camera shots the icon on his PET switches to Drillman's too.

Meanwhile, Chaud has found Rat's hiding spot in the tunnels, and attempts to apprehend him by shining a flashlight on him, Rat makes his escape and in the Cyberworld Drillman does likewise by transforming to Drillmode then flying...no wait...he sotra balances on his spinning drill and zips away like Topman or something. He spins around the glowing cylinder thing several times until both himself and the cylinder sink underground. Clever, I guess. A wall collapses in the real world, revealing a tunnel in front of Rat allowing him to escape too.

Back with Lan, it seems he found what he was looking for, a hand operated drill. He winds it with a mischievous look on his face. Help is on the way, Megaman.

Now back to Chaud in an office working at a computer. A guy with silly hair and a holstered gun walks up to se what he's doing, it seems Chaud's at a police station looking up files on Rat. He seems to be on his trail, but still needs some help. Cut to Rat and Drillman working on their plans. Rat is analyzing the cylinder thing he got his hands on. I'm still not sure what it does, but I'm guessing it has something to do with safecracking. Now we see Chaud at an apartment, looking somebody up. Why it's none other than his afro buddy Raoul. Chaud is invited into the apartment, which is pretty big and snazzy for someone who's supposedly a punk raised on the mean streets. Chaud starts discussing business with Raoul, and hes pretty eager to help out. So eager that he changes into his Afro outfit a bit too quickly. Chaud tells him they won't be needing the afros for the mission which makes Raoull spaz out. The duo track down Rat's apartment and barge in like true badass detectives, but inside all they find are a sink full of dirty dishes and an abandoned caseless computer. Chaud finds a spot where Rat must have been gnawing on the drywall, there's a hole with a wire poking through it. It seems he was using this line for something sinister.

The camera follows the rogue wire to another location where Rat is ordering Drillman to get to business. Drill creates a field of holes around where he's standing, causing the ground to begin collapsing in the real world. This does not go unnoticed by our heroic duo. The cop with the ridiculous hair calls up Chaud's PET and gives them info on Drillman's location. Protoman and Thunderman arrive just in time to see the big hole where Drillman made off with another glowing cylinder thing.

Eyecatch, Protoman weilding a Muramasa intimidatingly, then Chaud about to slot in a MarkCannon.

Another moment with the pointless antics of Lan. Now he's trying to open the stuck drawer in his room by pulling on it desperately. Why doesn't he just use that drill he was weilding so menacingly earlier?

Back to Chaud, Raoul, and Officer Sillyhair digesting some more info on Rat back at HQ. The go to a Rat-like guy already in prison for some info. They show him a picture of the hole in Rat's apartment with the wire hooked through it. It seems this is pretty important. Prisoner guy takes us into a flashback a couple decades earlier where he's working at a computer, and seems to be using three of those glowing cylinder things to hack into a bank. A graph shows money dropping from the bar labeled "Bank" and raising in the bar next to it labeled "Jackass"...I guess Prisoner Guy's name is "Jackass", that is SO awesome.

Jackass is turning out to be pretty successful at stealing all this money, until Colonel shows up. A cariacture of Colonel even shows up on Jackass's comparitive graph somehow, stopping the transfer. Jackass sends in some viruses which I believe are those extinct Trilo viruses from several eps back. Colonel get buried under the nasty bugs, but deletes them all with a Cross Divide. Jackass attempts to make his escape, taking the safecracking cylinders with him, but finds the police waiting for him outside his window. The cops bust in and subdue him, and then none other than young Barrel comes into loom over him in triumph.

back to the present, Chaud seems surprised to learn Colonel was the one to arrest the Jackass, after a lot more dialogue it's back to Lan, now trying to drill open the drawer his PET is still trapped in. Still getting nowhere. He finally found the key for the drawer, but killed the lock too badly with his forcible attempts to open it that the key won't fit.

Now Rat is at another abandoned warehouse, ready to get the last cylinder. Drillman goes in and starts tearing up the place again, which in turn tears up the real world. He reaches the cylinder, but Protoman and Thunderman are there to greet him. A couple Thunderbolts strike Drilly out of DrillMode and then Protoman gets up next to him with a Varsword and starts interrogating him. Drillman manages to deflect the sword and gets back far enough to go drill again and send a couple of Drill Missiles Blues' way. A single Sonic Boom inexplicably destroys them both in mid flight though. Drillman causes several chunks of rubble to fall from above which Thunder and Proto manage to dodge, but while they're distracted by that, Drillman re-appears and bowls them over with a Triple Drill Driver.

Just as Drillman is getting cocky, Raoul and Chaud arrive on the scene with chips! Thunderman pelts Drill with a SuperVulcan, giving Protoman some cover to get in close with a LongSword. Then Thunder throws in some Thunderbolts for good measure. Blues gets a LongBlade on his other arm, and pulls a drill move of his own, leaping into the air and spinning down swords first through Drillman's chest. In the real world Rat is confronted by Chaud and Raoul. Now Drillman has a plan. First he summons a swarm of Drilcroll viruses to distract Thunder and Proto. Then Rat uses the dimensional chip, bringing GigantoDrillman into the warehouse. Thunderman tells Protoman he can handle the Drillies on his own, so Protoman logs out. Then Thunderman summons several clouds for his Raiun Storm, deleting all the viruses.

In the real world, the fleshbags manage to dodge Drillman's lunging attack and then Chaud calls for a DA, which Officer BlondeWilyWithACombOver supplies him. After a transformation sequence, the battle is on. R-Proto deflects a couple Drill Missiles with a Sonic Boom from his VarSword (is that Protoman's default weapon now, or what?) and then uses his Protoman-Vision to spot the part of the floor where Drilly is hiding invisible. Since Chaud's sword his dangerously close to his gigantic groin, Drillman tosses him aside and hides again. While R-Blues is waiting for him to re-appear, the ground beneath him glows and of course Drillman drills right up from underneath him. Drill turns in the air for a finishing attack, but Chaud stops him with a Curse Shield! (Okay that is NOT upposed to work! Drillman's drills are supposed to cut through guards like that easily! </gamepuristwhining>) Drillman is thrown back and when he rushes up again he's met with a pair of WideSwords. The two navis clash blades and drills for a bit then Drillman leaps back for another Triple Drill Driver attack. R-Proto skillfully sidesteps the first two missiles and then twists around after Drillman himself passes and cuts him from behind with his blades.

Drillman returns to the cyberworld right next to the cylinder with a sigh of relief, until a Thunderbolt zaps him out of nowhere. One more Thunderbolt and Drillman staggers back into the cylinder, and then is deleted rather anticlimactically. But now the three cylinders are acting up. From their separate locations they spread a bunch of pretty sparkles over the city. Locker doors open, a parking lot full of cars suddenly open up all their doors, and way off in Japan, the jammed drawer suddenly becomes unlocked as Lan is tugging onto it with all his strength, causing him to fly off onto his bed and bump his noggin. After recovering, he's overjoyed to be reunited with his PET and rubs it accross his cheek affectionately.

Back in Netopia, Rat is being ushered into a squadcar, off to meet Jackass in prison. Chaud, Raoul, and BadHairDay relax after a job well done. After musing a bit about the "Unlock Program" (I guess that's what those cylinders were called, Chaud simply closes the window of the police office and applies its crude swicth lock for safety. The End.

Next week: Battlebots! Some 3D animated battlemechs are Robattling out in the arena, apparently controlled by opposing navis in the cyberworld. Nenji's there, and Napalmman, and a boxing Tesla. It seems Tesla's got into the cockpit of a big white NetSavior robot and his wreaking havoc with it. Some very scary Tesla facial expressions await! Magnetman is terrified! But there's still some R-MagnetWoman action!

This thread is for discussion of this episode only. Yadda Yadda.

My opinion on the episode? Well, I was hoping Drillman would kick more ass. His deletion was inevitable, but he didn't even get to face Colonel as expected. Plus he didn't seem quite as daring as the Drillman I'm such a fan of. Oh well, at least they showed all his attacks this time. The drawing quality wasn't any better than last time. I think Drill could have been drawn better.

Otherwise, not bad for the only Stream episode I've download so far.

I've gotta disagree, this time around Drillman's involvement AND fight scene were much better than the EXE episode, plus he seemed a bit more in character with his game counterpart. Anyway, this one was pretty good compared to the recent Stream episodes. I LOVED the CF Protoman vs Drillman fight scene, no laziness on that part at all. I also expected Rat t posses the buck teeth, but 'Jackass' was awesome XD (Can't wait to see this one in english Razz). Netto's antics were funneh, as was the return of Raoul's afro of doom, then again Raoul and Thunderman coming back alltogether was cool ^^

And after seeing the preview for 30, the animation on that one looks VERY good.

Yeah, the I'd say the best animated moment in this episode was near the end of Drillman's battle where Chaud was using the two Wideswords. They didn't cut any corners there. But while Drillman certainly had more action in this ep, he was a bit more intimidating in episode 55. Back then Protoman couldn't even touch Drillman until he made that one critical strike, in this episode the battle went back and forth more, and that's what disappointed me. :P

Other than that I also felt they weren't giving enough attention to Drillman's "style". For one thing there was that Curse Shield holding off his DrillDriver, would it have been too much to ask for Chaud to use a defense that Drillman wasn't designed specifically to bypass? Then Chaud strikes that spot in the floor where Drillman is hiding and he just "fades" into view like he was camoulflaged. Wouldn''t it have made more sense for him to be buried? And whenever Drillman went into hiding he did the logging out animation rather than drilling into a wormhole in cyberspace like in the games. And of course those sword attacks destroying the drills like they weren't made of the same tough metal the deflected Protoman's blades back in episode 55. Drillman's supposed to be about combining a direct defense with the ability to break defense, and I don't think they got it quite right.

Continuity error of Barrel having a Progress PET 20 years before it is invented.... Actual use of magic(It was actually called a MAGIC program) Oh and time-filler of Netto being an idiot...

:stonecube: :stonecube: 2 stone cubes

Rat's and Jackass's method of hacking into banks was genius, but it was ruined by the typical stream stuff of needlessly destroying entire buildings(Conveniently empty ones, by the way.) in a silly manner. Raul making a total ass of himself, it's always nice to see Masked Thunder I guess. Raul has a nice apartment for someone supposedly living "downtown"

R Magnetwoman is a stupid name because Magnetman isn't a woman.
Next week, we can say good-bye to Nenji, because after Napalm soul, he will nolonger be needed.

oh yay, Magnetman's fancy new [spoil:f840c231be]vagina [/spoil:f840c231be]-.-

I can't believe I noticed Rat was using an Advanced PET (and one that inexplicably changed appearance between shots no less) but I neglested to notice Barrel using a Progress PET at the end of the flashback.

Assuming Napalm Soul actually does come in. The last time Jasmine & Dingo appeared, neither Medi Soul nor Tomahawk Soul made their debuts.

Something I don't understand...why do all the one shot characters have Advance PETs? .-. Domon..Rat...the other people have all had Advance PETs instead of Progress PETs, why? .-.

At the end, I was kind of worried that Raoul's hand would glow. XD

Because thievery is their livelyhood, and they're too poor to afford a Progress PET.

Yea that makes sence. At least it shows that you cant magicly have a progress PET if you have to buy them and there probably expensive. Honostly tho im getting tierd of seeing blues always use the variable sword and when rockman is in the blues soul its almost all the time the variable sword. I liked blues red sword better Sad. Its always the same routine with the sword which is the sonic boom and its been milked enough already.

Junkman just doesn't like Stream in general. Especially when parts of it are compared to the orginal series. At least thats the feeling I get.

As a side note Barrel's progress PET in the past may have deeper meaning than we all think. At least it goes well with the current theory I have.

Or it could just be another animation screw up, like with the Chibi-Chaud flashback >>

annnnd???? you point is??? Ever heard of free speech???

People don't have to like everything you like you know....

And I don't really blame him, look at Axess, it was excellent...while Stream is still fun in my opinion, it's not on par as Axess and that does tend to disappoint....after all, you would hope for a step up, not a step backwards...

I seriously hope we get NapalmSoul...it's been so long since the last soul unison...20 episodes since Gyro soul....20 weeks....bleah...

oh wellz...Drillman = t3h awez0mez...

Bleah, at least we got to see Bamboo Sword after a long long long long time in episode 27...yayz...

This isn't the "I LOVE STREAM" board, I'm free to feel how I wish about the show, and it stinks.

2 out of 10 stone cubes.

The Chibi Enzan was because he was about 5 years younger in that scene, but I hate that episode more than any stream episode. it got
Laughing
0 stone cubes

and you can tell an Anime sucks major ass when it's entire plot can be summed up in about 2 minutes of narration(Axess) and I'm sure stream will have a simalar episode soon.

But hey, who am I to judge if you like being blatantly insulted by Axess/Stream every week Razz

EXE has been jumping the shark since Axess (over use of Cross Fusion) and the same problem goes for Stream with the general filler ep recipe.
*insert name here* wants to do *insert some dastardly or stuid wish* so Slur gives them *insert name here* EXE, then they go off and do the *insert dastardly deed or stupid wish here* and then later on in the ep they use the D.A. chip then Netto/Enzan must save the day with *insert name of special guest stars here*

This ep sounds interesting, I mean it has a guy name Jackass, and a random flashback of Colonel's past.

Also Raoul sure loves to cosplay...

The flash back confusses me. If that was like a very old flash back, then why would he have a Progress PET? And if it was a recent flashback. Why is his operator dead. O_o

If anyone can remember back to episode 2, it showed an old Barrel holding a Progress PET and everyone else still had the PET Advance.

is that Protoman's default weapon now, or what?

If I recall correctly, defeating Protoman in Transmission either gave his Navi Chip or VariableSword depending on your rank. In fact all the Navis had additional battle chip based off one of their attacks. Hence Brightman's Remote Plug and Swordman's Sonic Blade. Same deal with Protoman. Why he all of sudden needs the Variable Sword to shoot his Sonic Boom now is really starting to bug me though. It's true you can use the thing to fire a Sonic Boom but Protoman's been capable of doing just fine with his regular sword. I guess it's a matter of prefference or maybe one is stronger than the other.
