Fullmetal or Heavymetal

Alright, the titles' only half literal. So which do you think has more drama, the Gundam series or Fullmetal Alchemist. I personally fond of Fullmetal. The plot is very different from any other anime's.

FMA seems to be more realistic in a way, not every drama has to do with war and such

as for the Heavy Metal part of the title, he was going for the comparison of Edwards having the Automail Metal Arm, and being called Full Metal Alchemist...

...And the gundams being Giant Robots made of a Metal Alloy, and weighing Several Thousand tons. Hence "Heavy" Metal.

I would say FMA. It has so much more of what I like in an anime and the story is realy good. Gundam is always seriois and the only one I liked was G Gundam but the others are just boring to me.

Fullmetal Alchemist has more drama, I'll be honest, I haven't seen much of the anime myself, rather then bits and pieces here and there, and watching Episodes 1-8 uncut on the DVD's, I can already see the torment Ed and Al Elric go thur with the failed human achemy of their mother and the sacrifies they made, losing Al's body and Ed losing a arm and a leg, it torments them thur what i seen so far, not to mention, Episode 7 is a pretty sad one too (the Talking Chimera episode, for those who dunno), even Episode 8 where Ed fear for his life when he was faced with death by a serial killer, a lot of emotion there

Gundam, heh, just a war story, and nothing more, more battling and stuff, a few die here and there and it sad, but not as dramatic as what I seen in the first 8 episodes of Fullmetal

The winner is FMA, and I bet the other fanboys and girls can agree to that Smile

I don't know, I think both series have their own styles of drama. Gundam has it's futuristic plots which I can see clearly and Full Metal has the magical sense of drama. As I see it, they both have two very good stories, well Gundam has more stories but I mean the whole gundam plot. ^^;; *just confused herself*. Well, I like the action found in gundam alot. I like how there is something battling something else. I like how the short storylines for each character come together in the series with the gundams as the connection or whatever the main idea may be (depends on the series). I like FMA because it has a very stable and strong story and it has it's touching moments. I see that the series has a lot of dialogue too, but it has it's balance with the actiona dn the visual side of it, unlike gundam where a whole lot of it is dialogue or action, again, depending on the series. I think that question is hard to answer but I think that I like FMA more because it is clear and cut to the point, it has only one basic story to it but gundam has way too many. I don't even know when anything took place or at what time period anymore. Too much can be too confusing. That doesn't mean that I don't like it, I like the series alot. I just get a bit confused with soem parts. It's a series that you need a lot of knowledge to make it interesting. In FMA, you can watch any episode and have an idea, how ever small it may be, what it is about. *first watched the series on t.v. a few saturdays ago when it showed [spoil:27ccaa63b7]al running away from ed[/spoil:27ccaa63b7] and the episode where [spoil:27ccaa63b7]the one guy, the one that had the little girl, died *tear*[/spoil:27ccaa63b7].*
