It is all about perspective, MSP. The left look -should- look a little bigger, because if it is closer to the viewer than the right one, it looks bigger. Try putting your hand close to your face and seeing what you can see, and then pulling it far away from your face. It looks a lot bigger close up than it does far away, but it is still the same size. The same goes for sprite. That means that he did a good job. As for the stance, I don't quite get what you mean. It looks just fine ^^; |

I was originally gong to make the stance a little more straight-legged. As a knight in shining armour, he's supposed to be standing tall and proud. Then I decided I wanted the fists to seem especially heavy, so I adjusted the balance slightly to spread his arms out and space his feet apart more.
As for what's wrong with the feet, I'm not quite sure what you mean. Are you talking about his left, or our left? |

Well I think the problem is the fact is his left leg (our right) seems a bit thicker than his right (our left). Also EXE battle sprites generally have a shadow, and I think it would look better because I think without it his left seems much longer than the right. Or perhaps you could make the left foot 1-2 pixels shorter? |

Yes I did read it, and I am quite aware of what perspective is. However, it still feels a bit off. I already explained how it could be fixed and improve. |

Some of you may remember the big statsheet project I started ages ago. Well getting a better computer in my room has made the project sail towards completion. Well, almost completion. I haven't scanned in Punk's sketch yet for some reason, and now my scanner doesn't work, so he'll have to be the grand finale, but until then, I have FOURTEEN more to show off. Here they are in order of completion, so you can see how they get progressively better.

Moe's is the only mugshot I did completely from scratch (almost, I based it off a drawing) I regret that now since it doesn't look like it fits in the games at all. So all the others are based off some in-game mugshot, although edited heavily. In fact, I can't even remember who Nijubu started as. Can anybody recognixe the base? David was based on a Metroline worker though. Some of the Navicust program names might be hard to read to those with better moniters than the one I had when I made these early ones. :P That'll be the first thing I fix when I go back and re-do these things.

And these were the ones I completed earlier this year in December and January. I don't remember Carlos's base. Sam started out as the camping chick in BN2 (it's supposed to be a guy, but that girl was the only one with the facial pose I wanted, I did that with a lot of mugs), and Matt actually started as Flashman...did a LOT of editing there. Then there was another big break before I did the rest during this last week.

This is also where I really started messing things up by bringing in chips from other games. I think I let Johnny get away with the flexibility a little too much by letting him have an entirely F coded folder when not half of those chips actually come in the F code. I'll have to change that some time. Johnny and Stuart were the only ones in this bunch to submit their ideas, so Metal, Bowl, Dark, and Bubble are actually all me. But every other team member at least gave some folder or NaviCust info for me to use. Johnny's mug is based on BN1 Mayl, Cyros is Saloma, Jon is Bowlman, Stuart is Plantman, and Adrienne/DarkLady is Shuko. Oh yeah, about DarkLady, we're still not sure whether that member would use the original navi or the customized "sex-changed" version, for now we're going with both. XD The leftmost DarkLady sprite was made by our Punk, and I threw together the other two in like two minutes flat (Roll recolours sure are easy) I realize the big DarkLady image isn't completely consistent with the sprite, but I was working from memory when drawing it, besides, if I made the drawing look as much like a cheap Roll recolour as the sprite, it wouldn't look very good.
Whew, it sure feels good to be (as good as) done. These will still have to be edited in the future, and my ultimate goal would be to Flash-itize them so they could be more inter-active and realistic. So what do you think? Any other suggestions on ways to improve them? |

Prossibly some of the best gif works done on this forum. And a flash version of these would be even greater. (The darklady custom looks really good.) |

Reaperman is my custom navi that I entered into the BN6 Navi contest.I figured I'd make the symbol.
Okay,so its a little empty,but it gets the navis point across.
