Can navis get..married??

I apoligize if this is a stupid thing to ask but,

I was doing a job on Megaman battle network 3 (The first one Laughing

) And this navis said something like "Can you deliver these tools to my husband?" So then i was wondering,if net navis get married? Is it possible?

What do you all have to say about it? :O

I suppose "marriage" is in the eye of the beholder when it comes to Navis. Seeing as how one or the other can be suddenly terminated by an Operator or viruses, it would perhaps be safe to say that Navi marriages last as long as their operators want them to, or feel that it's "necessary".

Still, I don't think I see any purpose for a pair of navis to be contractually bound as a unit. We have no information as to how society of that time treats a couple differently from single navis, so as I see it, there really shouldn't be any reason for it to exist.

Why would a Navi being married to another interfere with their relationship with their operator? Unless the Significant Other drove a wedge between the Navi and their operator XD
I would have to say that, yes, if Navis can fall in love then they would likely have the desire to form a binding relationship with their partner in the same manner as the humans that their thought processes and appearances were based on; vis a vis, marriage.
And I don't think there's anything wrong with your signature in regard to this topic at all. Weird as it sounds, I think it's quite relevant. Once again, why not?

well the way I see it, yes and no. I mean, I guess if it were not to affect the relationship between the navi and operator - like let's say the two navis want to live together... who's PET do they live in? Or do they leave their operators to start lives of their own as Independant Net Navis...? Do they file to get Emancipated? Pre-nups, anyone? :D Does that make their operators in-laws? If they can get married does that mean they can get divorced? Man I could go on forever... it's such a phunny concept....

which will probably bring up the next question, can navis get babies/children?

If Rockman and Roll get a kid, they will probably name it X Razz

maybe if their operators do, can you see your navi leaving for for some other navi? In MMBN3 I think that the operators are married as well.

Any way you look at it, it is possible that Navis could get married, and it most likely would have important social consequences.
Operators aren't the parents of their Navis. Their creators are. Operators enter into a sort of mutual agreement with their Navis - 'I pay for your upkeep and give you a place to stay and you help me navigate the 'net, okay?' - so it is possible that an open-minded operator would be just fine with their Navi marrying.

Navi's can fall in love by from what i have seen but getting married >_>. It just sounds imposible. If they got married where would the navi's stay and um yea this is a little weird.

Megaman 7's sig implies soul unison. Soul unison could be interpreted as megaman bonding with another navi, or in a certain case, marrying them. I've played around with this concept a bit.

For the sake of argument, let us establish that Netto and Meiru do get married. In that case, what becomes of Rock and Roll? My guess is they will follow suit because of their feelings for each other. A navi is programed to emulate human emotions, so by consequence, it is possible for a navi to fall in love. In that case they would live together. It's very possible for two navis to share a PET IMO. Roll seemed to do it easily in "Beat the safe cracker" in Axess. A navi marriage, I think, is basically two navi teaming up together to form a partnership. They both do the same household tasks and both enjoy each others... "company"...

But marriage is rather unheard of. Just because operators fall in love, doesn't mean navis will. Meiru loves Netto and Roll loves Rock, so it works there, but suppose Medi falls for Tomahawkman (this is an example). They can both love each other, but Jasmine may not like Dingo. What would happen there? And suppose Charlie and Tesla get together. Are Gyroman and Magnetman going to get together too? Dear lord! I hope not!

As for children... I think a navi could actually have a child. The same way we copy files on a computer, we could essentially take the data from a navi and copy it to form the model for a new navi. For example, let's imagine Blues' data is copied and put into a female frame, with some minor alterations. The navi would become, in essence, Blues' daughter. Naturally if the copy came from the married couple, both "parents" could contribute their own data, the same way human children are born.

But I imagine this way to be rather unheard of, because operators, i imagine, would prefer to make their own, custom and personal navis from scratch.
