Hey Nazne! Laika with a silenced pistol...quite fitting, considering he's mostly the secret agent type. Since you seek suggestions for improvement, I'll offer all the constructive input I can.

-Try making Laika's cap a bit taller and wider, and his coat collar thinner and a little taller (maybe two-thirds of the way from his chin to his lower lip) to bring it into proportion with his anime look.

-You could make the coat a little more bulky, since it fits over his already pretty baggy clothes. Especially around his stomach...the right half of his coat looks fine, but bring the left part out a little more; as it looks, his torso seems rather thin. Overall, the design of his clothes are accurate and you pretty much nailed his design head-on.

-Laika could hold the gun a little higher and more to the right in that first picture, and his arms could be raised a little more. As he's holding it now, it seems he's bending his wrists back too hard to hold it where it is. Basically, he has to hold the gun so that the wrists are as straight as possible. Not only will this make his pose more true-to-life; it also prevents his wrists from looking as though they are straining (I learned this technique from a firing range...hehe).

I'm surprised you managed to convey his exact serious aura...very true to the relentlessly efficient soldier that he is. For added effect and perhaps even drama, maybe you could add his shadow so it seems like he's leaning against a wall. At least, that's what I can see him doing in this pic. The few comments I have are relatively minor in nature. Overall, a well-done set of pics with only a few little improvements needed to make it perfect. ^_^ That aside, I really like your gallery...nothing major to say except that you are quite talented as an artist. Hope this helps!

Wow... I did a screencap of Searchman once, but it wasn't exact.. I still did pretty good on it... But it will never match any of this!

Ok, If you want criticizm, I think that the way that Raika is holding his gun seems a bit uncomfortable. Both his arms are a bit short in your custom picture. When person stands, their arms, when they are down to their sides, are about up to mid thigh. In that picture, if you measured the arms you drew, they would be just a bit above mid thigh. I'd suggest you actually try to pose in that position to seehow it would look and if it comfortable.

I'll do that next time I have access to a mirror. XD This was done in school, so I didn't really have time to check the pose. Sorry about that.

You still did good for no access to a mirror. so no worries jsut keep up the good work and you will eventually be able to draw perfect poses with a mirror. I once in a while still need to use a mirror so eheh ^^;;

Sigma: O_o I just noticed the wrist thing now. I do have a load of work to do on arms and posture in general, so thanks for pointing that out. XD As for his collar, I've been drawing official art, and should be able to make it look right in a bit. And I see what you mean by the coat.

This was just a first test to see how well I could draw him without copying from a screencap. Next picture, I'll keep your advice in mind. ^^;

*cough* A week!?

I'm rather partial to that pistol with a silencer...

Also... all of the pictures deemed "scary expression" or something similar. My feelings are quite mutual XD.

And I think grumpy people smiling is rather unhealthy (especially for the badarse fan), although he looks good anyhow.

...I keep forgetting to mention it, but Revenant helped me draw the pistol. I fail at weaponry. <_<;; Thanks for that.

I did? Oh, yeah. Thank you for reminding me. I almost forgot I liked things that go bang.

Curiously, the picture titled loooooooom looks a bit like Shuryou Gospel's control the world pose. But of course, this image frequently pops into my head whenever I visualize someone that is an evil dictator with a high budget. Although, Laika's not one who has aspirations for world-control, is he. (But with a silenced pistol and a grappling hook necktie, you can do ANYTHING >D)

Rev, go beg Starry to let you read his Soldier of Shaaro fic <_<;;;

Meanwhile, I think I can probably incorporate a few other things into this to fit with Laika's sniper image. I'll probably end up making him look like 007 in the process, though. >>
