Well, I guess Megaman having it where Roll does would look sorta silly, wouldn't it? ....Not that the pink outfit or the atomic headbands (so called by me because, to me it[the helmet] looks like an atom model from the front) don't do that on their own Laughing

(Don't get me wrong though, I love the pink Rock Laughing

Actually,i don't think the "button" or "plug" Does anything. I think its just a part of her outfit and design. :puku:

Maybe the real purpose will show itself in a new episode. That would be crazy. When the devil chip was used on her, didn't she have a tail? Didn't it come from her plug thingy? (God that question on her plug is gonna haunt me all day...)

A reference was made to that thing in chapter 13 of sigma.exe's fic, 'Adver Man: The Ultimate Evil'.
I'm pretty sure that it MUST have a purpose. It's just too unusual to have anything just SITTING on that part of a person's anatomy.

I talked to someone about it after I read Tabby's cute comic a while back. Laughing

They suggested that it could be there to hold down her hair when she is in battle. You know, so it doesn't get in the way or something. *shrugs* Other than that, maybe the creators thought she just wasn't "kawaii" enough as the only female navi on the show at the time, so they gave her a lil nub thingy on her hinder. That's right about where a human's tail bone would be isn't it? Some people are born with tails or nubs that extend off of the tail bone. Maybe Meiru has one and designed Roll to have one too. Eheh... ^^;

Heh, maybe. It is kind of cute. I can't help but wonder what kind of a hassle it would be if she tried to lie on her back, though...
Come to think of it, a lot of Navis have potentially cumbersome accessories (Elecman's spark plugs, for instance), and I can't help but wonder if they can get rid of those if they need to.

I have three things to say:

1. It's not on her butt. It just looks sorta like that due to the coloring of her outfit. It's barely just above the tailbone (or at least where it would be if Navis had human skeletons).

2. It always looked like a battery to me. Meh.

3. Look at Roll Soul Rockman. Notice the shoulder and knee pads? Yeah...

ya, I always just thought it was something like a tail, too... although I always thought of the antennae more like a halo than antennae or bunny ears.. anyway I do recall the tail growing a little bit when the WWW peoplez tricked Meiru into using that screwy chip, although he grew things on her shoulders, too, and they all looked kinda like the mini generator things on Elecman's back o_ô then again, it was also Elec who was controlling the chip/evil Roll so... ya... never really thought of it as a button before, tho...

Maybe when you push it, her program shuts down, her arms fall off, her head spins out of her place, legs are dismantled, a box appears, she is put into it, and is ready to be sent by mail.

Or maybe she says random phrases like some dolls like "Let's eat!" or "lets be friends!"
