My first anime was Sailormoon. I didn't ever know that there was an uncut version of it since I first saw it when I was 4 or 5. But I was such a bit fan of Sailormoon. I collected so many things likes sticker cards and posters. XD I am not really in to it as much as I was before now. I am into newer things but I won't ever forget how big of a fan I was with it and how much I admired the people in the anime. I like it less but I don't dislike it or hate it. I just see other things more interesting then it now.

What was your first anime and do you still like it? When did you see your first anime? Are you still adoring it? Was your first anime the worst anime and your second anime much friendlier to you?

I have a feeling a lot of people are going to say Sailor Moon. And...I am no different Laughing. I first saw it when it first came out in the US, and again later on when Cartoon Network started their Toonami block. Although I knew there was an uncut version, I was happy enough to see the dub because otherwise I wouldn't see it at all (which is how I feel about many other dubs to this day). As to the question of "Do I still like it"... Yes, yes I do. I don't watch it anymore (mostly because I lost all my tapes of it, including some of the original version I've bought ^^; ), but I still love it. In fact.... I've got a SM wallscroll to my right as I speak XD

It's Rurouni Kenshin

My first anime was DBZ. I watched it and enjoyed all the battles and stuff until I found out it was edited and changed to hell from DBZ uncensored and swore to bash the dub for as long as I lived. I would search many internet sites for Japanese clips and everything. Today I'm not as into DBZ anymore mainly because I've gotten into better anime (Rurouni Kenshin, Inuyasha) and DBZ just seems lame in comparison now. It's like Starry said in the channel:

"I used to like DBZ until I started to care about stuff like plot and character development".

Willingly and knowingly? DBZ, I guess. I can think of a few things that were Japanese - slightly or fully - but, I didn't know that then.

Opinions of it? Well, I haven't watched it in years. I dunno. Can't say I like it anymore, but it's far from the worst show I can think of.

It's fandom still sucks, though.

If unwillingly counts, then I suppose Sailor Moon; ironic, since I actually like it now.

Doraemon was my first anime. In comparison to most of today's anime, it is pretty good and nostalgic (in a way). It also had an actual character development and plot.

I'll shut up now. Laughing

DBZ was my first anime I thought it was the best thing out.

Presently I think it is pretty dumb now but I like the DBZ fighting games for the PS2.

I think my first was either DBZ or Samurai Pizza Cats...

Still like the latter, but I'm not too fond of DBZ anymore. (It has it's moments though)

The first anime I got really into anime? Or the first I ever saw ever? I couldn't tell ya the latter anyway, so I'll do the former.

My first anime was Pokemon. The first one I saw was the one where James buys a Magikarp thinking it would be a goldmine, tosses it away, it evolves into Gyrados and attacks ev'ryone on the S.S. Anne. I got really really into Pokemon as a whole after seeing that episode. Then after a while when it got into what I like to call the "Episode Formula" - so called new episode, exact same concept, different scenario. Really it got into that long long before I stopped watching, but ehh...

And looking back at it, the early episodes were really cheesy and I absolutely do not like it anymore. Razz

I mean really, is Pokemon even an anime that's to be taken seriously? The way I see it, it exists only to compel little kids to buy all the little products they sell, and doesn't really have a good plot or morals; well maybe it does but it doesn't go into much depth...

Compared to the other Animes I've seen, Pokemon is utter garbage... so yeah.

Oooh, but if we're gunna get into the first anime that I watched absolutely every episode of, that has got to be Rockman.EXE, and I still absolutely adore that anime. Thanks, WPP :D

My first anime was Pokemon and before it was aired for KidsWB, I first saw it on channel 26 at 6:00 AM. FIRST OF ALL, I did not know about anime at that time and they did the first episode all the way to until Charmander evolved into Charmeleon and fainted the Eggecutor. It's so weird, 'cause I know ALL the pokemon they have so far including the new one. I like this anime, but I got bored easilly because the episode I'm interested in is when Ash battles in his Gym Match. The rest are just filler and they bore me easilly so...yeah.

I loved Pokemon when I first saw it, got into Digimon for a while, tried DBZ and found it utterly boring, then got EXE and somehow have not lost interest even through the utter destruction the series' gone through. >_> I have fond memories and nostalgia of Pokemon, but I think I only hang on to it for fanficcing about the characters.

My first anime was Sailor Moon, but the one that I truly got into first was Pokemon. I do not know why I was drawn there, but the fact remains that I was hooked. When Yu-Gi-Oh appeared, I began to watch that as well, but not with the same diligence that I watched Pokemon with. I now have EXE and I have not turned back.

I still watch Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon nowadays, but I find that I am less attracted to them. The former's storyline is getting cheap and overused (not to mention the fact that it takes eons to get a new episode) and the latter is still fine, but some of the characters are getting downright pathetic to watch.

The first anime I watched was Pokémon. Back then, I had no idea what anime even was. I kinda lost interest after the Johto arc, but regained it a little bit when Advanced Generation came to America.
