|
|
I bought the Megaman Anniversary Collection a couple of days ago, and while I've been pecking away at most of the games on it, I've been focusing on MM7. And...this is where I need a little help ^^; To put it plainly...I'm stuck in Turboman's domain -_-; I do just fine until I get to the horizontal blasts of flame, where I promptly lose all my lives in one go x___X;;.... Does anyone have any timing tips for getting past the lateral flame bursts? ^^;
(I'm also having problems in Frostman's area in Megaman 8, specifically with the sled, but that's beside the point.)
EDIT: Due to advances in MM7, I've edited this topic to garner tips for the other one I'm playing at the moment, MM8. Aside from the sledding, check below for what else I could use tips for... Although that's technically the entire game ^-^;;; _________________

Hi there. I've played MM7, and the force beams were a real pain-in-the- :stonecube: to pass... Personally, all I can say is, slide like there's no tomorrow. I might create a map when I have time.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help...
EDIT: Oh nuts, didn't notice this was half a week old... _________________ Don't post spam-

Ah well, the help I've received (in this topic, and in a PM) is appreciated anyway, despite the slight age of the topic ^^
Aside from difficulties with MM7, it's pretty much the only game I can actually play on the Collection (unless Power Fighters 2 counts, but I don't think it does), but to unlock what I'd like to, I need to defeat the Robot Masters in MM8 (I think anyway). Does anyone have any tips for defeating Grenade Man? (thought I might as well start small and ask for help in one spot, although I need it EVERYWHERE XD; ) _________________

Grenademan is rather easy, I simply took him down with the Rockbuster. Dodging his attacks are easy too, as long as you figure out how they work. _________________ created by XHunter17, thanks! Well, I think my problem is that I have this nasty habit of pressing Jump either too late or too early, which often puts me in the direct line of attacks ^^;
...Of course, if I could make it through Grenade Man's level with all my lives intact, that'd probably help A LOT... _________________

Grenademan isn't a real problem just pound him with the thunder claw then if it runs out use the tornado hold, so far the real problem is frostman's slide that's really hard to beat. |

I was able to beat Grenade Man with the standard buster. So long as you keep your distance and do your best to avoid his blasts, you should be fine.
The sled thing was hard, I think I got a good 15 game overs to finish the one at [spoil:d66986f357]wily castle.[/spoil:d66986f357] The only way to pull it off is by memorizing the pattern, there's no winging it that would get you to win. |

I find that most of the bosses in megaman 8 have less than three or four attacks each. If you have a few spare lives, waste one learning how to dodge their attacks.
As for the sled, stay at the rear, and dont worry about the bomb dropping cylinder's, just focus on the rabbits and the jumps. _________________

Not to sound patronizing... but I can't say I've ever had any difficulties with MegaMan 8 other than that one snowboarding segment in Wily's stages. Running out of energy against bosses was never a concern... so much to the point that I never even pay attention to my energy bar. With bosses like Grenademan, try less dodging and more in-his-face action... ignore getting hit and just go straight at him with the Thunder Claw. Take him down before he can take you down. _________________

Always stand in back then when you find the large pit, jump as far as you can then stand back again ^_^ _________________

Wily's snowboarding level is indeed very hard. I suggest you either:
A)Head on over to Gamefaqs and looks for a map
B)Memorize the area
C)Get someone else to beat the level for you
D)Use Action Replay(as a last resort)
I ended up using ARs' Super Jump code. Okay, before anybody can start yelling CHEATING IS WRONG know that I tried everything else possible to beat that level and at least wasted 24 hours of my life (not straight in a row) trying to beat it, but I still failed. _________________ EXEHQ. For the snowboarding stages, keep in mind that you can still push yourself forward and back even while in mid-air. This can help you get alittle bit of extra distance with jumps. Also be sure to move as far back as you can when on regular platforms so you can see what's coming and have time to react to it. Aside from that, it's mostly all about knowing what's coming up and having good reaction time. _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

I never really found him too difficult, but I guess staying near either wall of the room helps a bit. Astro Crush cancels one of his annoying attacks, too, so don't hesitate to use that every once in a while. If I remember correctly, I beat him with just charged shots (I did it with Arrow, but I guess Laser works just as well). |
