This was being discussed in one of my earlier threads, but someone was complaining about Cross Fusion taking all the interest out of Navis and humans living in seperate worlds, and it got me thinking...
What do you think the far-reaching conequences of Navis being able to cross over to our world would be?
I personally have no opinion, except to wait and see what happened. Navis would most likely still be necessary for internet navigation, but would they WANT to when they could interact with the human world more directly? _________________ I win because I love my enemies. Do you love your enemies? |

Good point. The option of interacating physically in the real world would be much better than doing so through the net. But it would be less dangerous to hold net battles on the net, rather than real life. _________________

maybe as themselves not their net ops dressed up like them, if axess left it like how EXE ended with rockman and co coming to the real world on their own it would be fine. _________________

I think if they were going to end up bringing Navis into the real world, they shoulda said "Screw Hikari's Navi idea" and stuck with Wily's Robot idea(which is probably something strictly from the games at this point, but meh)... _________________ I think it's time to say goodbye. |

Ah, like I said it's probably just from the games, but if you see MMBN1
Quote: | Wily: Hmm...Shall I tell you? 30 years ago, two famous scientists competed to be the
best! ...Me, and your grandfather, Dr. Hikari! I made robots, and he specialized in
networks. We were both lost in our research. Then, one day...In order to win an inter-
national competition, our country had to pick one of our projects to fund. After long
debate...They canceled my robot research! I couldn't believe it! My research was vital!
Vital! I had no place to turn to, and so I left the lab. That's why I'm mad! If it
wasn't for Hikari...! So I made the WWW to get back at him! He made this world what it
is, and now I'll destroy it! |

As far as I can tell, CF seems to be really only useful for battle. Plus not only do you need a dimensional area, but only those with really close bonds to their net navis seem to be able to perform CF. It would be a danger to people as well unless they can rig the DA so potentially dangerous viruses can't get through. So, in my opinion, it seems unlikely that such a thing would not even become mainstream never mind replace the network. _________________ .+.~illusion~.+. |

Why rockman can't do like dark loid and go in reallity WITHOUT Cross fusion like he did in episode 56 ? (end of rockman exe) _________________ Pray Megaman as your God. |

that's what I said before!!!! O.o Anyway would that up Netto in danger if he wsa caught in the DA? now that I think of it, cross fusion power-ups the navi and kinda keeps the operator out a danger. "From fatal hits that wouldn't be fatal to a navi" _________________

[spoil:d51cdf014a]In one of the EXE manga volumes (I think it was 6), there's a virus that projects holograms of Navis into the real world, kind of like Rush in Axess[/spoil:d51cdf014a]
I think it's be cool if they could.... ooooh, this gives me fan fic ideas >=3 _________________ "Itsumo... saigo wa... hitori da." ~ Sailor Jupiter

I think if Navis did come into the real world on a regular basis, it would have to be by some other means than Cross Fusion. Not only is CF an option limited to only a very few Operator-Navi pairs, as illusion said, but it seems to me to be kind of a lousy deal for the Navi. The Operator is the one who's in control of the CF. Navis can communicate with their Cross-Fused Operator, but they don't seem to have any sort of physical control. They're actually more limited in CF than when they're in their normal form on the net. _________________ Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. Honestly, people need to start treating Navis on a whole like legitimate living things anyway...[/spoil] _________________ I win because I love my enemies. Do you love your enemies? |

Rockman can't do that because the Darkloids happen to go through some sort of gateway.

[spoil:c4acda1c27]No, he's human....Two reasons why....
-He grew hair...like a human would...
-His brain was affected by the radiation coming from the Kokoro Network at the end of EXE5 since he didn't have any protection on him. If he were a robot, this wouldn't have happened, thus he would not have lost 10 years of his memory.[/spoil:c4acda1c27] _________________ ~DrkX (Resident over-sexed camera-whore & Facebook zombie.)

Okay, I'll bite...
I always thought that crossfused Navis got the short end of the stick. But then, a total union of minds would be difficult to pull off, not to mention that both Navi and human would lose their individual identity in the process. I still don't like it, though; it's demoting Navis to a lower status than humans, at least in terms of crossfusion. It's tough to make Navi and operator equals...
I think that dimension chips are a better idea if handled carefully, because then it would stop being a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers situation and start being an issue of trust, teamwork, and proper cooperation. _________________ I win because I love my enemies. Do you love your enemies? |
