And here's Searchman. Unfortunately, he did not turn out the way I wanted him to. I think he looks crooked... or something. I just don't like it, but I can't exactly put my finger on the problem.

A very good shading and inking technique you have here. I especially like Forte's ominous shading, because that's the way everyone knew he was meant to look, isn't it? The Burnerman pic is also impressive, and the way you had the lighting angled really reveals the auras of both characters; Forte's darkness and Burnerman's...er, rabid-ness? Good work on both pics. I could have sworn these were almost professional manga quality.

I think you draw Forte shadowy because it emphasizes Forte more. Black usually means ominous, evil, devilish, etc.
You did this with charcoal? I bow to your skill!

Wow! They're so...uh...great? (I wish I could've used a better word to describe your wonderful work, but my brain just doesn't want to think about vocabulary right now). Your shading is wonderful (I can't even do shading), you've captured Forte's true "dark side", and well, they're just marvelous! (Yay! A word finally popped into my head). :]
