This topic is to talk about the growlancer games out there.

I for one think it has a good battle system. Take a while to get use to but it's very diffrent. Anyhoo Growlanser 2 and 3 are out in america but not
1 & 4.

Also i'm having trouble on Growlanser 2. I can't get wolfgang sence I got one mission failer. But i'm still trying to go to the battle at the Southern Checkpoint. (The battle where wolfgang askes to join you if you've gotten mission completes up to now) Well I can't get to the Southern Checkpoint. It's all grayed out. Wolfgang made his anoucement but I can't go there. And I hear you need to win that battle in order to get Lyell

Edit: I'm just going to try the game again. The walkthrough I first read was too confusing

Ya have played 2 and beat it with i think every ending but 1, good game but i wish it wasnt a blue disk, Hate the scratching sound they make in my ps2

Ya you do have to win that battle to get lyell..... But i guess he is worth it.... Also have you got all the Events needed so you can get arieta Later..

Well i'm really far on my game now. I'm on Wolfgangs path (I made 2 diffrent files so I can do both paths) Anyhoo I defeated Gaves and freed Arieta. But I just have to ask.... what were the writers smoking?!?!?!

I mean during the battle with Geaves and beyond none of the charters say what's in the word bubble but something else completly. And in the 2nd fight against Chrlone and Riviera they give Riviera the title of
Supha Fly Spy... No i'm not kidding it really is that. I mean WTF???

Also for anyone who doesn't know. You know Brett??? He's the guy with the spear. You can find him in the booklet. Well I've been wondering how you get him then I found out you get him in the Time and Space tower (In the main stroyline i'm guessing) But only if you haven't gotten Lyell to join your party.

(P.S. I read the whole "How to get Brett" thing in a walkthough so i'm not 100% sure that's how you get him)

I know... .i have gotten all the Main endings and done all the path's...... And yes that is how you get Brett..... I prefer Lyell though.... much better, Quick question are you trying to get arieta and have you done what you need to get her

Yeah i've gotten Arieta. She's really good in Wolfgangs path sence you lose Rivirea.

Also do you get any diffrent endings based on what charters you have. Like if you get Brett insted of Lyell.

Also in the Bonus Battle in Wolfgangs path (Where you fight that fat dude) If you side with Wolfgang do you get the same ending??? I'm guessing if you betray him you get a diffrent ending

Ya Its a bit different..... all the ending's are a bit different.... bah i wish the Growlancer wernt on blue disks..... the third game doesnt work that well

What do you mean by that??? Also I beat Wolfgangs path and wasn't to happy with the ending. I mean it was boring. It's kinda like you expect it to keep going but nooooooo they slap that Fin sign on there.

But the one where Wein kills Wolfgang is better. Though is it just me or was Wein kinda scarry???

I cant really remember that ending.... i havent played in a while.... maybe i will rent it again play three and load the data so i can get my characters from 2 in 3

Um...... I am not exactly sure on that, all i know is that you can and they also come with the same ring's and all that they had when you beat the game, and you can get ALL the character's in it( Even max)

When you go to the tower to confront max near the end you will get a choice to help him or not ,if you do join Max, you and Hans switch teams and you fight against your friends, if you manage to kill them all you get one short ending if one gets away you then get about 2 more missions then the games ends

Ok I tryed Max's path (Didn't save though sence I was just testing it out) It was kinda creppy to me. I mean the depressing world map music, and look at what happend to Hans. I mean dear lord the people who made this game have a bit of a twisted sence of humor.

Ya.... It is a bit creepy, But i think you need to do his path if you want Max to be Tranfered over to Growlanser 3

Here's a question. If you beat one ending and then beat another does the 2nd ending override the 1st one???

Umm..... i dont think it does.... if i remember correctly you have to get every ending and i am counting the fact that you have Have that date with everyone in the normal ending to get them all unlocked in Growlanser 3

P.S. I kinda got a mission failer on the last mission of maxes path. Does that mean I don't get him???

How did you get a mission Failure..... and i think you need to win the last mission.... But the other way that people think the way to get max in 3 is at the end of the normal ending you go to the hill top place that it shows in a few scenes i cant remember what its called after you finish the final mission before you head to the capital

Let's see... I killed Hans and didn't kill Logan. And I already did the hill scene before you go to the castle again and saw max there. But it didn't show his face in the question mark like with aretea.
