family crests? Just wondering where do these crests come from? Is it just anybody made them and claim themselves? I know families of nobilities have these crests

I don't know if they get assigned a crest or if they get to make it. We're not really told anywhere.

ya... it's like a crest thing more than a Yin Yang, and most of the symbols that represent a trait of the Navi are more direct than just "light and dark". Generally, it has something to do with some physical, easily detectable aspect of them, for example: Miyuki/Skullman's symbol in reminiscient of a skull, no explanation needed, Saloma/Woodman has a brown spiral/ring series like the rings of a tree, Laika/Searchman has a crosshair 'cause... Searchman's all sniper-ey and stuff, Tohru/Iceman has a little snowflake/ice crystal, once again, no explanation needed, and then there are the crests which just seem to be there for who knows why, like the Hikari's symbol, Forte's symbol, and consequently, possibly Cossack's, Princess Pride/Kightman's symbol... I wanna say Dekao's, but it's similar to the plus sign on the Mettaur's helmets, and both Gutsman and Mettaurs have a kinda construction worker-lookin' motif going

The green cross on the Metool's helmets is just a symbol for construction workers in Japan. Which is why Gutsman also has it on his chest(Remember, in the original Rockman, Mets were exclusive to Gutsman's stage until you got to Wily's fort.)

As for Blues, it's probably just decorative, like Rockman's.

Actually, Forte's symbol (IN the manga) was the f like in music (forte) lol. Of course some people may be like Confused

if they didn't know his name was Forte and Not Bass in the Japanese version. And everyone knows why forte now Has a slash on his symbol. (we dont know why he has it in the Anime though)

They used Protoman's PET in the commercial because Chaud was the one acting in the commercial. He was using his own PET as an example. What else were they supposed to show in the commercial, a completely un-customized PET with no icon?

I think it was supposed to be half-black-half-white to symbolize the Ijuin family's dysfunctional hairstyles, and their artist just had a wobbly desk. :P

Yep thats because in the orginal games Gutsman was built to assist in construction work. The orginal 9 robot masters created by Dr. Light all had human jobs they were created to assist with excluding the prototype who was just a test to see if they worked. When Wily got a ahold of the 6 he found their systems also doubled as useful weapons. All the remaining robots were built just to kill and destroy. In short Gutsman is supposed to be a construction worker with the Metools as his "drones".
