The PS3 will have 3 times the power of Xbox 360, yes, but where the heck did you get that thing on the Revolution? Hardly anything's known about it, as Shadowbass said.
Speaking of Revolution, has anyone seen the hoax video for it? It's been confirmed to be completely false, but it's awesome.

Yes, plus, you can only improve a system so much after only 3 years. Xbox 360 looks barely better than the capabilities of the first Xbox. I still say Xbox 360 looks nothing better than this-gen's Xbox. The only difference I can see is with the pictures of the cars. You also have to take into account how long game will take to be made after a while. 1st party companies may be willing to use the console to its extent, but most 3rd party companies to use a console's true ability.
Every 3 years is foolish, if you ask me. Plus, I really do not wanna buy a new console every 3 years. It's a waste of money after a while. _________________

Yeah, I think it was meant to be a helmet.
Anywhoo, I found a little article on Revolution:
http://cube.ign.com/articles/613/613340p1.html
If you ask me, all that's awesome. 3 DVD cases? That'd be helpful for not taking up much space. And awesome enough, online capabilities that'll be available right out of the box and possibly free? Awesmome. |

The only reason Sega lost money was because Sony rushed the PS2 out (Which was about the same time.) in order to compete. It was in no way releated to Sega's marketting decisions, more like the bullheartedness of Sony. |

As stated here, Sega used that strategy ever since the SNES began to catch up to the Genesis and all they accomplished with that supposed advantage was driving away their fanbase and wasting their money. Another thing that has to be considered is launch titles. Developers have less time to work on Xbox 360 games and with games getting more difficult to make, the launch titles will suffer. _________________ Red Green's words of wisdom:

Uh, if I'm correct, the SNES had a short life span because Sega was owning them in sales. They had more games, and therefore more of an advantage. Also, it's not like a game takes 5 years to make. A year tops and a few years for straightening out the glitches (Unless you are Rockstar or Gigantes where you just leave everything as is.)
Sony lost money with the Dreamcast because Sony pushed out their system (without doing proper checks on it, which is why it breaks or crashes so easily) so fast, they also had a lot of games at launch time, and it was backwards compatible so that was another plus.

I have to say the PS3 looks very nice, though the controller looks a bit like a boomerang. The design is still very sleak and nice. _________________ (( X-cessively Excesive ))

Here's the facts; Sega was better then the PS2 but they(sony) over hyphed and advertised their system and thus screwed sega over. And three years a console is stupid, it's too short and microsoft should skip those other two years if they actually want a chance. |

Yeeeeah, but its a little to late for that. Microsoft would fall behind if they decided not to release now and would loose credability. They would have a much better chance releasing it now than waiting two more years. :/
With the PS3 and Revolution out who would still be following the X-Box? They'd loose money. _________________ (( X-cessively Excesive ))

Although I don't know exact details, I belive there was stuff involving debt and advertisement that was mostly Sega's fault, and had absolutely nothing to do with Sony (more Nintendo, than anything).
By the time Sony went up against them, they were already weakened |

I don't like the control... doesn't look very comfortable...
Meh... if I could only go to E3...
::puts on Ionstorm shirt:: <---guess where this is from!
All I want to know is how the controls and the systems look like...
I like the fact that Ps2's controller is perfect, XBOX's was built for enlongated fingers (I play the piano... I have pretty much stubs for fingers... also I am a bit chubby...)... GCN's was good except for the X, y, and B buttons...
If the controls seem to fit perfect with the hand, I think it will be VERY popular...
I also want to know some release titles... _________________

I have watched a bit of G4's coverage of the E3 convention. Based on what I saw about the X-Box 360, I'd say it was a vast improvement. At least it isn't a tank, and it looks quite aesthetically pleasing. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! I recall reading that the sales were very close, despite the SNES's late start.

Yet it still couldn't couldn't keep them ahead. When the new systems come out, the old ones get forgotten unless they have a huge past success to ride off of, which Microsoft doesn't.

Do you have any proof of that, because from I've read, they'd be lucky to get an engine done in a year. It's also my understanding that the engine's the easy part.[/quote] _________________ Red Green's words of wisdom:

The engine is pretty much the entire game, so I'd assume it's the hardest part. :/ _________________ Greatness is achieved through the pursuit of greatness. |
