Here are three paintings I've done of three characters for Chaos as well as their penciled, concept sketches.
These are the three Fates - Atropos, Clotho, and Lachesis.
Clotho:
In ancient greek mythology, Clotho was the one who pulled the string of life - thus starting the lives of each and every one of mankind's people. Clotho is the giver or life, birth, and beginnings.

Lachesis:
After the string was drawn, Lachesis measured it - thus determining the length of time that life would last. Lachesis controls how one lives, and for how long - the keeper of time.

Atropos:
Once the life has been created and lived out, it needs to end. Atropos gives the final cut to the string of life and ends it. Atropos is the bringing of death and endings.

Please, give me any kind of comments or critique on the paintings, the sketches, the concepts of the actual characters - any kind of feedback is good feedback. Thanx guys.

I concur with XHunter17. A very simplistic yet unique style you have here. The way you proportioned their figures is almost semi-chibi, and it's interesting to see the three Greek Goddesses of Fate drawn in such a manner. Appearance-wise, it's to my understanding that the Fates were originally dressed in flowing short-sleeved and loose Greek robes, but the cloaks you have given them almost make them look like Forte.EXE (to make an indirect reference). Very unique...the vignettes really tempt me to see how you draw their entire bodies in color. _________________ Better to keep your mouth shut and make people wonder if you are stupid, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. |

Well, their not greek godesses, nor are they demi gods, they sorta have their own unique category I guess, but they're definatly not gods.
Anyway, I'm glad my style is liked at least a bit as I cannot get away from it even if I were to try, lol.
Now, take into account that these Fates do not normally make themselves visable to humans, but in Chaos they are left no choice but to expose themselves not only to the group, but to the whole world...so I guess it's only natural that they'd want to change their appearances a bit if you wanna look at it like that. Personally though, seeing as Chaos is my story and my game, although the Fates are those from Greek mythology, I still feel I have the liberty to change minor things to make them more appealing not only to me, but to an audience. Originally, the Three Fates were all old, ugly, and scary women, but I made them appear younger and more attractive in a way. I mean, when you have the kind of power to alter the very fate of mankind, I'm pretty sure you have the power to keep yourself from looking old and ugly. =0P
As for the cloaks, I tried not to make 'em look TOO much like Forte as that's not what I was going for. And I don't think Forte is the only character to ever have a cloak...so I think it's safe to say I'm not copying Forte too much. Even so, they have bodies and unique costumes hidden underneith the cloaks but I chose to make the three more mysterious by putting them in cloaks. >_< Does that make them bad? =0(
Either way, thank you for the comments.
