VGR's OT Crap (minor shoujo-ai)

I'M BAAACCK. Dun-dun-DUNNNN. You will notice I've heeded your input carefully for this next one >__O

DRAWN WITH: Mechanical pencil (0.5 mm lead). Ugghhh...the one I used had a kinda crappy grip so after I did this pic my wrist may have broken a few tendons >__<

I just started with eyes, thinking nothing, as I often do. Portraits by themselves are just boring without a backround, so I added Blues' insignia in the back as an added bonus. (Now all he has to do for you to see it is MOVE HIS DARN HEAD!!) I've had this long-time urge to draw Enzan with an arrogant smirk, but this is the result of it all O_o . I didn't really have any models to use for the Slur picture I was thinking about at the time, and I REALLY wanted to doodle something before my inspiration expired...so here's ENZAN IJUIN!!

I actually was able to remember how he looked like :D

That's good, VGR (Can I call you VGR?). I don't see anything wrong with the picture. Enzan looks older in your picture, not that it's bad or anything (so that's what Enzan may look like years later).

Hope you can finish Slur soon :] .

Yup, N2O (May I call you N2O?) I think it's definitely the lighting, among other things. I dunno, they always seem older when I draw them realistically. Either that, or the whole facial outline. Guess it's just my style, because I'm weird >_<

EDIT: Sorry, but I forgot to address another point. Yes, N2-O Night, you may refer to me as VGR. In fact, that has a nice ring to it, and is certainly a lot easier on the fingers. Almost sounds like the name of a race car :]

Yap. Bored-at-school Chibi Levi doodle (hey, that rhymes! Ahahaha...*cough*). This one was sort of a personal best record setter to see if I could finish it before lunch break to keep me occupied. A lunch break Time Attack, if you will. Oddly enough, I find the hours BETWEEN classes to be the most boring. So here's the end result of all that...feel free to make constructive criticism on this one if you like, but if it influences your judgment any, I really wasn't shooting for realism on this one, and it prolly shows O.o

On another note, I understand that most of you by now have seen the acronym behind her...I can't tell the uninformed what it means, since children also visit this forum.

Interesting. I love the shading, and the contend is extremly funny. She looks Stoned to say the truth, but otherwise, wonderful.

Naughty Levi vs. Aqua Blues Soul, eh NeoGamer1234? From what I've seen on N2-O Night's gallery, it should be an interesting match. Although I don't think Chibi Levi has any real attacks except her gratuitous usage of profanity :D

I guess Chibi Levi will use said profanity until her enemies give up in fear (or annoyance). That can be much painful than any sword-weilding chibi Navi :] .

Yes, the shading is definitely great. Do you work for a newspaper or something. This one reminds me of my school's newspaper caricatures.

Working for a newspaper, N2O? Naaahhhh, I'm independent >__O. I could never handle the pressure of having to draw under a deadline...I like to let my mind stagnate a while and let the inspiration sink in, and if I was pressured to draw anything, I wouldn't be anywhere near the skill level of any artist on this site. If I did work for a newspaper, you'd prolly see nothing in it but Rockman.EXE news. That said, it'd be the perfect paper for this site :D

Thanks to everyone for the feedback! Good to know my efforts are worthwhile...and with that said, I'd like to do a little experimenting with colored art for once, to let y'all know that realism isn't the ONLY thing I can do. I haven't used color mediums in a while, so I'm relatively new to what you humans call "COLORING." I'm trying to see if my shading techniques can carry over into colored/inked anime-style art. Notice I included my signature at the bottom right...if you see this with that VGR siggie edited or cropped out, THIS WAS STOLEN! So tell me who did it and I promise to them that it will be quick and painless.

Anyhoo, I haven't seen nearly enough justice done to this cutie, so heeere's SLUR.EXE, using her Wire Attack!! (Insert ominous, evil James Bond villain theme music here)

DRAWN WITH: (HELLA deep breath) No. 2 HB pencil, ballpoint black ink pen, colored pencils, minor touch-up work and stars o' plenty with Photoshop CS 7. This took me a total of EIGHT FREAKIN' HOURS to do the rough pencil sketch, then ink and color by hand, then edit with Photoshop CS, and after that my hands were all ouchie-ouch >__<

I drew Slur standing in some kinda temple thing on some kinda asteroid, since she and Duo both live in space...go figure. I admit it doesn't show up that clear the way I drew it, but if you look REE-HEEEALLY close you can see the blue flames of Duo's crest starting to form behind her. And if you look at the Earth you can see my house from here!! Zoom in closer and you'll see me wandering around my house looking for something to eat @,@

I love love LOVE this pic!! It's the first time I did a lot of things: I drew an actual woman! (Girls are so much easier to ogle than they are to draw...) I used color for the first time in...well, forever. I even used Photoshop for the first time, no matter how mundane the reason. Overall, quite proud of this one, although there's always room for improvement. In the meantime...(glomps Slur tightly)

The slur picture look mighty cool. I like how it is colored. Your pictures seem to illuminate more once you color it. You also still have values in your coloring, making your picture not look flat. I think Slur's face looks a bit long, it makes Slur look like a guy. I still have no idea if Slur is a girl or a guy... Sad, I know...

But anyway, the legs look a bit small in comparison to the legs. the second half of the leg looks a bit short. The first half of the leg, from hip to knee, should be the about the same as from the knee down. The feet themselves are also a bit small. I like the way you did the see through tubbys for the cords and I like how they were colored to make them look see through. I also like how you drew all the cords in different angles, making them look like they are in free motion and not.... directed or stiff. The aura looks pretty cool as well. I like how you used different colors.

Slur's eyes look scary. XD *chills down spine*

The shading is amazing too, the only think I can think of to say is her face looks a little off. But it doesn't matter cause that picture is AWESOME.

Hmm. I guess the calves may be just a TAD teeny-weeny short, anime21...and you're right about the pic not looking too flat anymore. Still, glad you like this pic, and the eyes were meant to be evil, yes...and I also like the way you call the wire tips "through tubbies" >__< As for your comment about Slur being a guy or a girl...I believe it is better to think of her as a woman, yes. Goodness knows this series needs more girls...

Regarding the face, Neko, I guess I was going for a Ryo Takamisaki manga-style look, and so the face may have appeared a little long. The look I was going for was Kinda-Semi-Evil, so I proportioned her according to what an evil woman MIGHT look like, according to Takamisaki's style. Slanted, determined eyes and a somewhat elongated face are just the way I'd imagine the style to pull off...but that's just me.

That's really well done! :D The background is nice, as well. The only thing that I can point out is that her legs are a little too short for her.

Ack, Lido Azn Girl...yes, the legs, I know. Seriously, this was my first female figure and I guess I could use some lessons. Also, thanks for the comments, rockman.exe/hikari, although Slur isn't really just trying to fascinate you as much as she is trying to entangle you (although the way I've drawn it, she looks like she's going to trip over her own wires at this point...)
