Medi smiled as she was introduced to Rockman's friend, a large navi by the name of Gutsman. She couldn't help but give a better look to the large one, he reminded her of a gorilla, long arms resting against the ground while small legs supported his large weight. She could tell he was the kind that considered brute force as the first alternative, but wasn't that the navi's fault.

She smiled a bit more as the navi complained about the not-so-pleasant trip, the nurse navi offered the other to give him a massage with a sweet smile on her lips.

Gutsman blinked a couple of times as he was introduced to Rockman's friend, Medi. He wondered why she made him blush just by smiling at him, perhaps was the fact she actually smiled at him because she wanted to. He couldn't remember the last time Roll would've smile to him like that. The large navi smiled a bit unable to help but observe the nurse navi, she was... cute in a different way Roll was, they were both lovely, but something on Medi was different. Gutsman liked that, even though he didn't know what it was.

As Medi offered to give him a massage, Gutsman laid down on the table, pretty happy that someone would offer to do this for him. Gutsman was used to working hard and receiving little to no compliments for his efforts, but Medi's gentle attentions towards him, despite her job as nurse and pharmacist, made him appreciate her and admire her even more. Maybe some day he'd find a girl navi like her that'd love him and care about him despite his looks or his lack of tact.

For now all he could do was close his eyes and enjoy the attentions the pharmacist poured on him.

Aww, that was sweet. Poor Gutsman needs the love... he reminds me of Lenny Curtis as he was in Shadow Hearts: Covenant - a big oaf with a good heart. I kind of like characters like that.

Today and Tomorrow

Meiru arranged her dress, making sure everything was perfectly on place. She was excited for her first formal date with Netto. She couldn't believe he'd actually invite her out, but it was true, and today was the day of their date.

"Meiru... why are you taking so long?" Netto growled as he tapped his foot impatiently, girls... why did they always had to 'wear something nice' for about everything? They were going to the amusement park, not the opera!

"I am almost done!" Meiru replied on a sing-song tone. She was quite the tomboy at times, but she had her dose of femenine vanity and she wanted to leave quite the impact on her date.

"Meiru the tickets are for today!" Netto messed with his hair frustratedly, he knew the line for the newest ride was going to be a very long one by now.

"God, I heard you the first 25 times, Netto!" the red haired girl finally stepped out of her room in a pretty white and red dress with a sunday hat on her arm. "Well, what you think?" She posed a bit, showing her pretty dress to the young boy.

"That we're not going to ride the water course anymore." Netto pouted, he just wanted to have some fun in the park. Sometimes the boy wondered why girls had to complicate everything.

Meiru frowned upset, but sighed softly, admitting she was probably wearing something unapropiate for the place they were going to. "Okay fine. Give me 5 minutes!" Netto only sighed and sat down to wait.

"Where do you want to go first?" Netto asked casualy, smiling to his companion.

"Anywhere I guess."

Netto frowned at the hint of deception on the girl's voice. "You're alright, Meiru?"

"Yes, I'm fine." But that was the far from being the truth. She probably mistook Netto's intentions when he invited her to the amusement park. And she had to admit that hurt somewhat. But a hand taking one of hers brought her back to reality.

"Hey cheer up, Meiru. It's our date, remember?" Netto smiled at her, his hand squeezed gently at the red haired girl's hand. "I just want us to have fun together".

Meiru smiled lightly, unable to keep herself from blushing, Netto's hand holding her own so tenderly made her feel so good, so special. She had to admit he wasn't the kind to be romantic, or plan things way ahead to be special. He was... blunt, and to the point, he wore no masks, all he wanted was to give her a day to share with him and enjoy together. Being what they were, two children enjoying their childhood.

The red haired girl smiled and hugged her companion before taking his hand and drag him towards the water course ride.

They were both just children for now, but she knew she was special for Netto, a date didn't need to be romantic to be a true date. Netto was there for her, with her, to share his whole day only with her, and that was all that mattered.

Weeee >_>;; I am not that good writting Netto x Meiru XD I hope it's of Elementalman's liking XD

And sorry DSX I'll have to hold out the Forte fanfic till I gather enough knowledge of the event before pulling out my own. >.<;

Flurry of Frozen Fury
-------------------------

"It's like snow..." A little girl of bright orange locks giggled happily, hanging by her father's hand.

"Those are bits of him." The man smiled down at his daughter. "Him" was the forming net navi that appeared on a capsule. His data slowly flowing and swirling inside of it, like snow flakes in a snow globe.

"He's going to be my new friend, daddy?" The brown eyes of the little girl shone in excitement. He was perfect in her eyes, despite only having his head and upper torso partially formed.

"Yes, he will. Once he's finished we're taking him home. Have you choosen a name for him?" The man caressed his daughter's head carefully and gently, combing slightly the locks of bright orange hair.

"Ahh... Flowerman?" The innocent reply of the little girl made the men working on the navi chuckle softly, "Oh! I know! I want to name him Plantman, daddy!"

The man nodded and smiled at his daughter as he watched the navi forming slowly "It does look like snow, doesn't it?" He picked up the little girl and carried her closer to the tank where Plantman was forming.

"Daddy, Plantman can hear me?" The girl carefully placed a hand on the crystal of the capsule, admiring how beautifuly the bits of data floated around the forming body.

A bright green eye slowly opened halfway, meeting the gaze of expectation, excitement, innocence and admiration of a cheerful little girl. She seemed so happy to see him, and something about her made him feel... good.

"Daddy, he's awake?" The girl asked as the technicians working on her future navi wondered why he'd awaken already, trying to shut him off till his data would form and estabilize completely.

"He shouldn't be yet... maybe he woke up to say hi to you?" The man smiled to his daughter, not very concerned about the fact the navi woke up before time.

Plantman smiled very slightly, unable to pronounce a word towards the cute child that seemed to be waiting for him. Slowly he closed his eye again with that cute and chubby face engraved into his memory.

"We can take Plantman home today, daddy?" The little girl bounced, towards the capsule where her navi was, fully formed and apparently asleep.

"Yes, we are taking him home as soon as he wakes up" The man grinned, chuckling softly at the excited little girl as he received a Plug-In PET from one of the workers while another carefully activated the navi to wake him up.

Slowly a pair of bright green eyes opened, waking up to life. Plantman blinked a few times, focusing his sight and glancing around the lab he was in. Quickly, a squeal of joy drove him to look down, to where a familiar set of brown eyes stared at him in awe. Plantman recognized the little girl, and he smiled as he slowly kneld in his capsule to be at her eye level.

"You're awake!" The girl's smile grew wider as she rested her little hands against the crystal of the capsule.

"I am..." The voice of the navi was soft and gentle "I am Plantman."

"I am Anetta!" The girl hugged the capsule as she smiled up more to her navi, "You're going to be my friend?" She asked innocently.

"Yes, Anetta. I'll be your new friend." Plantman smiled a bit more and rested his black hand against the crystal of the capsule, right where Anetta's much smaller hand was.

"Ahh... Winter already!" Anetta smiled, turning her PET towards the window for her navi to look at the snowflakes falling slowly and gently.

"Winter is a beautiful season, but too cold." Plantman nodded and admired the snow, he knew how much Anetta loved snow, since he'd been given to her a few months ago, she wouldn't stop talking about snow and how pretty it was.

"Plantman?"

Anetta's voice brought him back to reality, "Yes, Anetta?" He glanced back to his Operator, chuckling softly at how cute the child was when she seemed to be thinking.

"Will you teach me to plant and grow Poinsettas?"

Plantman laughed softly, nodding to his young operator "Of course I will" The squeal of joy that followed made the navi chuckle softly, asking Anetta to be careful and not drop her PET while she bounced in her bed.

"Anetta! Anetta, wake up! Please, wake up!" Plantman yelled as loud as he could, his voice full of worry and desperation. Sometime through the night something managed to ignite a fire in the house, smoke was quickly beginning to filtrate to Anetta's bedroom.

"Ah?..." Plantman's efforts to wake her up finally paid off. As she got off the bed she began to cough, running quickly to her desk where her PET was charging. "Plantman?! What's going on?"

"You have to get out of the house, it's on fire! The Firemen will be here shortly, but you have to get out of here now!" He had barely finished his sentance when the wallpaper of his operator's bedroom began to catch on fire, spreading to all the bedroom in a matter of seconds.

Anetta whimpered scared, feeling unable to move as soon as the wallpaper caught on fire. She pulled her PET against her chest, not knowing what to do. "Plantman, I'm scared!"

"Anetta try to get out through the window!" Plantman clenched his fists, feeling so impotent, unable to do anything to help the girl, as the house Anetta and her family lived in was very old and the emergency fire system he could plug into to operate wasn't installed yet.

Anetta did try to run towards the window but was quickly blocked by a fallen shingle of the roof that was already on fire. Trapped, the little girl hugged her PET. "Plantman..." she thought, she had to save her friend. She ran towards the Plug-In port of her computer.

"Anetta?! What are you doing?!"

"Saving you!" She replied frowning to her navi "I don't want you to get hurt!" Anetta didn't give a chance for Plantman to object, plugging the navi to the internet as another shingle of the roof fell over the girl, knocking her out.

"Anetta!!" Plantman cried out as he was forced into the flood of data of the net, the girl knocked by the piece of wood was his last sight of his Operator. Crying out in desperation and sorrow, Plantman allowed the flow of data to take him away, not caring at that moment about his own fate. He had lost Anetta, and he couldn't do anything to save the one girl he owed his existance to.

On a room in the local hospital, a man held the hand of a little girl, wrapped in bandages, watching over her with a worried expression. "Will she be ok, doctor?" He asked without actually looking at the medic, his attention was all on the girl that occupied the bed.

"She'll recover, her injuries are not threatening her life. However..." The medic stopped for a moment, his expression turning grim "She suffered enough damage in her head to produce amnesia. We don't know for sure how much this will affect her memory and what her chances of recovering her own memories will be."

The man nodded slowly, gently caressing the head of his child, not caring right now about the possible memory loss, just thankful that his daughter was alive.

A nurse picked up a burnt piece of Plastic that once was a PET, dropping it on the trash can outside of the room...
