Well I went to KB toy store and they recently stocked the Mega Man X Buster toy seen at Toy Fair. It was $10 (half the price of a Mattel Mega Buster), so I purchased one.
I will now evaluate.
Detail:
It's a bit smaller than I expected it to be, and I guess it looks like X's buster in terms of shape and detail (which is barely any....) The x buster is made out of funny smelling foam (the stuff those stress squeezy toys are made out of) Just like the Mattel X Buster, you're stuck having an unremovable "Mega Man X" logo stuck to it. The darts are yellow and have puruple tips.
Shooting:
The X buster is "air powered" rather than having some sort of spring powered trigger, there is a pump inside the mega buster, when you load the dart all the way, squeeze the pump and the mega buster bullet will go quite a distance.
Overall opinion:
It's not bad, but the sticker pisses me off. So if you want another obscure Mega Man product, go get it. At least it's cheaper than a Mattel Mega Buster...
pictures coming soon. |

Hehe that's funny.
I hate it when stuff has a logo that can't be removed.
It's air-powered......hmmm...i may buy that depending if i like the design.
This could be a stupid suggestion, but why don't you burn the logo off? _________________ Thank you so much Hikari Angel!!! You are the best!

Now then you'd be left with a burn mark. You could try sticker remover, you know that stuff that takes off the sticky part. |

the sticker is really strong like a rub on transfer or something, I'm worried if i get rid of it, I'd have to repaint the whole buster. (I suck at painting stuff...) |

What are you getting at? ._o
I don't know. I always thought that the X Buster would be pretty big. Is it bigger than the (EXE) Mega Buster at least? Does it seem proportional to you (by that I mean to X official artwork)? _________________ Net navis are like imaginary friends. Basically the sticker frustrates me because if you were use it to do cosplay or something, it's just wrong. I'm sure X does not have his name written on his buster.
The buster does not seem proportionate compared to artwork and sprites.
They could have made it a bit longer. |
