I've just been thinking. Most of the Navis in the EXE series are based from the Robot Masters from the Classic series, aren't they? Well, what are the EXE counterparts of the weapons you can get from them? So far the only ones I know are
Blues - Wide Sword, Delta Ray Edge
Rockman - Rock Buster (apparently nothing else - the rest are battle chips... I wonder why)
Roll - Roll Arrow, Heart Flash, Heart Slash
CutMan - ?
GutsMan - Guts Hammer
IceMan - Freeze Bomb
BombMan - ?
FireMan - Fire Arm
ElecMan - Lightning Blast
MetalMan - Metal Fist
AirMan - ?
BubbleMan - ?
QuickMan - ?
FlashMan - Neon Light, Flash Light, Spark Palm
HeatMan - ?
WoodMan - Death Forest
NeedleMan - ?
MagnetMan - NS Tackle
GeminiMan - ? (could he be LaserMan ?)
TopMan - ?
SnakeMan - Snake Bite
SparkMan - Spark Wave
ShadowMan - [spoil:00a9fd2b52]Bunshin Giri (that's the kana...)[/spoil:00a9fd2b52]
BrightMan - Plug Lariat EDIT
PharaohMan - ?
DrillMan - ?
RingMan - Ring Rang
ToadMan - [spoil:00a9fd2b52]Kaeru Punch, Toad Recital[/spoil:00a9fd2b52]
SkullMan - Bone Stalker
GravityMan - Gravity Drive
WaveMan - ? (could he be SharkMan?)
StoneMan - ?
GyroMan - [spoil:00a9fd2b52]Propeller Blade, Tornado Arm[/spoil:00a9fd2b52]
StarMan - Kira Kira Meteor
NapalmMan - Fire Bomb
CrystalMan - ? (could he be Prisman?)
[spoil:00a9fd2b52]BlizzardMan[/spoil:00a9fd2b52] - [spoil:00a9fd2b52]Snow Ball[/spoil:00a9fd2b52]
FlameMan - ?
KnightMan - Kingdom Crusher, Royal Wrecking Ball
PlantMan - Plant Weed
TomahawkMan - [spoil:00a9fd2b52]Tomahawk Swing[/spoil:00a9fd2b52]
WindMan - Propeller Bomb
YamatoMan - ?
[spoil:00a9fd2b52]CloudMan[/spoil:00a9fd2b52] - [spoil:00a9fd2b52]Dark Cloud[/spoil:00a9fd2b52]
JunkMan - Junk Press
FreezeMan - ?
SlashMan - ? (could he be BeastMan?)
ShadeMan - Crash Noise
Turboman - Turbo Wheel
ClownMan - ? (could he be ColoredMan?)
SwordMan - ?
SearchMan - Scope Gun, Search Grenade/Bomb, Satellite Ray
AstroMan - ? (could he be PlanetMan/CosmoMan?)
AquaMan - Aqua Hose
ColdMan - Iceberg Press EDIT
BurnerMan - ?
GroundMan - ? (could he be DessertMan?)
MagicMan - Magic Fire
DynamoMan - (could he be ThunderMan?)
Forte - [spoil:00a9fd2b52]Earth Breaker, Darkness Overload, Shooting Buster, Hell's Rolling[/spoil:00a9fd2b52]
Gospel - Bug Charge, Curse of Bug
Duo - [spoil:00a9fd2b52]Justice One, Meteor Knuckle, Gigant Hook[/spoil:00a9fd2b52]
[spoil:00a9fd2b52]Colonel[/spoil:00a9fd2b52] - [spoil:00a9fd2b52]Screen Divide, Colonel Cannon EDIT, Colonel Saber, Cross Divide[/spoil:00a9fd2b52]
The ones in bold are the ones that I believe are the "true" counterpart of the classic Robot Master's weapon. In other words, those're the default attacks of the Navis, like Rockman's Rock Buster.
BTW, I've indicated where I found out the attack name because I might be dealt with needless opposition ^_^
And now, here are some EXE characters who I can't find any resemblance in the other Rockman series
NumberMan - Saikoro Bomb
KingMan - Checkmate Burst
BowlMan - Gatling Pin EDIT
MistMan - ?
Omega - Omega Rocket
Serenade - Holy Dream
VideoMan - ?
[spoil:00a9fd2b52]Medi[/spoil:00a9fd2b52] - [spoil:00a9fd2b52]Medi Capsule, Healing Pulse[/spoil:00a9fd2b52]
If anybody can fill out the question marks, please reply to this thread ASAP. Thank You :] _________________ 闇の黒井心の本当のカ

I think Metal Gear would be more appropriate for Metalman.
Bubbleman = Bubble Wrap?
Heatman = Flame Tower? |

"Lightning Blast" is Elec Beam
Laserman is the EXE4 Contest Grand Prize winner, he is not Geminiman.
Snakeman's special attack in the orginial series is Search Snake.
Prisman is an ANIME-Only navi.
Kingman's attack is Checkmate.
Who is Omega? Do you mean Proto?
Serenade's Special Attack is Saint Light. Holy Dream is a Giga Chip that uses Holy Panels as a power boost.
Astroman is not Planetman or [spoil:457dd40e3a]Cosmoman, Cosmoman[/spoil:457dd40e3a] is the EXE5 Grand Prize winner.
How could you get a power from Roll if you never fight Roll in the actual story? I never EVER remember fighting Roll.
__________
I haven't corrected all of your mistakes, but please mark ANYTHING related to exe5, navis, bosses, ANYTHING in exe5 is a spoiler until further notice. Thanks. _________________

You can fight Roll in MMBN4's free tournaments and get her Roll Arrow chip I believe. She's also in MMBN4 Red Sun's Story and you can fight her, but only to obtain her navi chip. |

I know you can fight Roll in EXE, he said that Classic Roll's Robot Master Weapon was Roll Arrow, since Roll is not a Robot Master she can't give you a weapon because she has none. XD _________________

You would be correct. She's there only to grant the RS players the soul, and provide three chips for library, as well as three for secret.
Otherwise, she does not play an important part in the EXE series, library-wise. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! What does Groundman have to do with cake or ice cream???
And no, Groundman is NOT Desertman....
And that Sharkman shouldn't count as Rockman PC wasn't made by Capcom. It's just coincidence.
And one of Elecman.exe's attacks is in fact Lightning Blast. It's called SparkStrike in the english games and Lightning Strike in the manga.
And you can't fight Roll in the story of the CLASSIC series....... yes we know you can fight her in EXE4...
*finishes attacks with the REAL attack names from EXE along with Classic counterparts along with better comparisons.*

Iceman has his Ice Slasher in Transmission. Elecman also drops a Thunder Beam chip although he doesn't use it himself.
While Gravityman.exe also has Gravity Hold, it works entirely differently from its original series counterpart, but still, two weapons with the same name means an obvious connection, so I say the Master Weapon for both Gravitymen is Gravity Hold.
StoneMan.exe's Power Stone is Stone Cube? I think his spherical boulders fit more closely. However Stoneman is one navi without a real corresponding Master Weapon, just like Skullman and Toadman.
Not exactly a Master Weapon, but in MM5 you won the Super Arrow from Starman along with Star Crash. Starman.exe's Star Arrow is based on the Super Arrow.
Aquaman.exe's Bubbler attack shoots a little Water Balloon, remember? Why would you pick the Water Cannon thing instead? |

Well, Shadow sorta does the AntiDamage thing when you try to attack him right after he does his bomb attack. He pops up in the air to do his Shadow Blade attack the instant the attack hits him. Although unlike the actual Kawarimi chip/defense maneuver, I don't think it prevents time-stopping attacks. |

Okay, before anything else, I'm talking about EXE attacks here. If you noticed my first post, I didn't mention any Classic attacks... :O
I just listed all the attacks I know, so there will be choice which among them is the default weapon. And it's not that the weapons have to be similar... I'm asking for default to default. I got some of the attack names from EXE 4.5, like
IceMan - Freeze Bomb
WoodMan - Death Forest
StarMan - Kira Kira Meteor (what does Kira Kira mean?)
NapalmMan - Fire Bomb
So please, if you're going to place an attack name, please specify where you got it. I saw some attack names which I also saw in GameFAQs :eyes: ... most of which the authors just made up, like
BubbleMan - Bubble Parade
HeatMan - Grand Burner
SnakeMan - Snake Arrow
PharaohMan - Coffin Laser
StoneMan - Stone Cube (isn't this a battle chip?)
WindMan - Tornado
YamatoMan - Thousand Spear
FreezeMan - Icicle Fall
Serenade - Saint Light
And here's some attacks which I got from reading Ryo-sama's Axess summaries:
BrightMan - Plug Lariat
ColdMan - Iceberg Press
BurnerMan - Strike Burner
BowlMan - Gatling Pin
And as for Roll, you do get to fight her classic counterpart - but not in any "pure" Rockman game... And if you have fought/used her, she say's something when she uses her attacks. Anyone out there know what she says?
AstroMan may not be [spoil:eb1d8ea85f]CosmoMan[/spoil:eb1d8ea85f], but like I asked before - could he be PlanetMan?
And then there's the new Navis... Obviously, I got their attack names from playing the game. If I can find a way to show the attack's kana without spoiling the game, I'd do. But then, is GyroMan's EXE attack [spoil:eb1d8ea85f]Propeller ARM[/spoil:eb1d8ea85f] or [spoil:eb1d8ea85f]Propeller BLADE?[/spoil:eb1d8ea85f] (Again, based from Ryo-sama...)
I think KnightMan would have to be more of KCrusher, because it shoots straight at the target, pretty much like the original one. On the other hand, RWB just spins around, targeting enemies near you.
The attacks I listed for Duo are indeed chips but I placed them as such because they're drawn with his fist/s. I'm just too lazy to test if any of them resemble any of Duo's attacks from EXE4. _________________ 闇の黒井心の本当のカ

Kira Kira Meteor is "SHining Meteor"
Gyroman has
TOrnado Arm
Propeller Attack
Gyro Counter
and Gyro Air Force
Most navis tend to have an attack named after their attack in the Orignal series
Metal Man ha Metal Blade, Rockman has Rock Buster, ect _________________ Here's lookin' at you kid. |

Uhmm... Where did you find out that GyroMan has attacks called Propeller Cutter and Gyro Counter?
And judging from the fact that you wrote Gyro Air Force, I think you've already played EXE5. But how can you be sure that the "G" actually means Gyro? What if it's like KnightMan where the "K" actually meant [spoil:98ef171fc2]Kingdom[/spoil:98ef171fc2]?
EDIT: I finally managed to rip some images showing the Navi's attacks. Of course, I recolored them to put emphasis on the attack name, but more importantly - to make spoilers into teasers.
BlizzardMan's
KnightMan's
CloudMan's
TomahawkMan's
And here's some attacks which I my Japanese-to-English dictionary can't translate
[spoil:98ef171fc2]
Bakugeki
Yamiuchi
Bunshin Giri 2
[/spoil:98ef171fc2]
I've also used the three chips I mentioned as Duo's attacks. The only attacks I can recall he does use are Gigant Hook and Meteor Knuckle
[spoil:98ef171fc2]Justice One - a huge knuckle drops on the enemy area, damaging all enemies and cracking panels[/spoil:98ef171fc2]
[spoil:98ef171fc2]Gigant Hook - a fist comes from below, hitting the left and middle enemy columns. Another follows but comes from above, hitting the middle and back enemy columns. The fists move in a hook-like motion (ergo, Gigant Hook)[/spoil:98ef171fc2]
[spoil:98ef171fc2]Meteor Knuckle - checks the field first for enemies. If there is, nine huge knuckles come raining down on the enemy area one after the other, hitting panels at random (I think there is a pattern if there is an enemy in the center panel - clockwise from top left and ends in the center) and cracking them at the same time. Each knuckle has a one-panel range, but the attack stops when the enemies have no more HP.[/spoil:98ef171fc2] _________________ 闇の黒井心の本当のカ

Okay, if you're just picking out "default weapons" for each navi, then it has NOTHING to do with the classic series. The only thing worht comparing to the classic series in terms of attacks is the attacks that have the same name or concept. If you're just pointing out that both navis and robot masters have "default weapons", then that's pretty pointless because the idea of a default weapon is hardly exclusive just to Megaman games.
Secondly, why are you just picking out the names that are spelled out easily for you? [spoil:986b25eb2f]Cloudman's Dark Cloud[/spoil:986b25eb2f] is just the attack he hits you with outside of battle, how do you figure that makes it is primary weapon?
It seems you're just picking the attack names you can find, but if you want a real criteria, it should either be the attack the navi uses most often in battle (I'd call it their default attack), or the the attack their navi chip uses (Signature attack) these aren't neccessarily the same. For example, Magnetman's default attack would be MagMissile. He uses it a lot in battle, and it's his charge shot when he's your ally. Although his signature attack is NS Tackle, that's what his Navi Chip uses, it's also considered his strongest attack.
And if you're wondering where Josuke is getting these names, Capcom releases guidebooks with all this information in it.
Personally, I wouldn't even treat "attacks" and "weapons" as the same thing. If you've seen the statsheets I made for the BN3 navis you'd know what I mean. An attack is just a technique utilized by a character using the weapons on hand. For instance "Regular Shot" and "Charge Shot" would be attacks coming from the weapon "Mega Buster". For the most part the EXE series only names attacks, very rarely will they name the actual weapons that create these attacks. And I refuse to view moves like "Iceberg Press" as weapons, as if there's a button Coldman presses on his body that causes him to leap into the air and crush the opponent. In that case his weapon is his own body, "Iceberg Press" is just what he's doing with it.
Oh, and for Classic Roll's attack, I think you may be taling about "Roll Buster" in MvC. |

And judging from the fact that you wrote Gyro Air Force, I think you've already played EXE5. But how can you be sure that the "G" actually means Gyro? What if it's like KnightMan where the "K" actually meant [spoil:c5c545c707]Kingdom[/spoil:c5c545c707]?
EDIT: I finally managed to rip some images showing the Navi's attacks. Of course, I recolored them to put emphasis on the attack name, but more importantly - to make spoilers into teasers.
BlizzardMan's
KnightMan's
CloudMan's
TomahawkMan's
And here's some attacks which I my Japanese-to-English dictionary can't translate
[spoil:c5c545c707]
Bakugeki
Yamiuchi
Bunshin Giri 2
[/spoil:c5c545c707]
I've also used the three chips I mentioned as Duo's attacks. The only attacks I can recall he does use are Gigant Hook and Meteor Knuckle
[spoil:c5c545c707]Justice One - a huge knuckle drops on the enemy area, damaging all enemies and cracking panels[/spoil:c5c545c707]Justice Fist in EXE 4
[spoil:c5c545c707]Gigant Hook - a fist comes from below, hitting the left and middle enemy columns. Another follows but comes from above, hitting the middle and back enemy columns. The fists move in a hook-like motion (ergo, Gigant Hook)[/spoil:c5c545c707] Called "Giant Hook" in EXE 4
[spoil:c5c545c707]Meteor Knuckle - checks the field first for enemies. If there is, nine huge knuckles come raining down on the enemy area one after the other, hitting panels at random (I think there is a pattern if there is an enemy in the center panel - clockwise from top left and ends in the center) and cracking them at the same time. Each knuckle has a one-panel range, but the attack stops when the enemies have no more HP.[/spoil:c5c545c707] |
... Kingdom Crusher?... huh Didn't notice Dark Cloud, Kymera, nice work! _________________ Here's lookin' at you kid. |

Okay, let's cut, rewind, go back to the top and start all over again.
(presses stop then holds rewind)
(after 2 seconds...)
Here's what I really want to know: All the known moves of all the Navis that have classic counterparts. I don't care what it does - it attacks, it heals, whatever. And by known, as in those names were either put into the games by Capcom themselves (with the kana, of course) or they were shown in the anime.
Now I just want a list of attacks, fellow fans. I'll deal with the "counterpart" issue later. For now, just the list, k? :] _________________ 闇の黒井心の本当のカ

Well, in that case, you'd have toi ask Josuke. He's the one with the guidebooks. |
