At E3, I spent alot of today(Along with Heat) playing EXE 5's demo, finally getting to the first liberate mission and Blizzardman

In dialogue, he's known as Blizzardman, but in Battle and chip he is "BlizMan, BlizMNSP/DS"

Didn't see Tomahawk but he's sure to be "TmhkMn" XD

Anyway viruses we met

Kabutank/Beetank is Bugtank(couldn't get his chip, probably CrakBomb)
Chample is Champy(with Firepnch1)
Sabotecoron is Cactikil(with CactBall1)
Garu Beast is BigBrute

The shortened names in battlechips and such is because of a character limit, right? Or am I entirely wrong about that...

Is the text rife with errors, like BN4 was?

One would hope that Capcom would have learned it's lesson from MMBN 4...

Beetank re-renamed to Bugtank. Inconsistency rears its ugly head. Well, at least they spelled out Blizzard's full name outside of battle, which gives hope Tomahawkman will get a similar treatment. Yet according to the video they still do some out-of-battle abbreviating, (ScrenDiv), let's just hope there's more of the former than the latter.

What's in a name, after all? :D

Shoot they could call Tomahawkman whatever they want for all I care, so long's he's in the game. I hope the storyline isn't altered though, because that would suck.

They rarely change the names in the video games people CALM DOWN. So, it lives up to BN2's translation as in, they occasionally say 'damn' or 'crap'? o_O That was actually a bit of a surprise to me when I first played the game XP

They only reacted negatively to some news they didn't like hearing and you reacted quite a lot worse than either of them did.
If you can't handle people not reacting positively or acceptingly to changes like that, then I think you shouldn't look in translation topics.

Anyhow... glad to hear that the translation's good so far. Smile
Not too fond of the Tomaman translation though, if it's right... I agree that Hawkman would've sounded a lot better.

JapanMan /JapanMN is alot better than YamtoMN or YmtoMAN which is what we would've gotten instead.

You can be assured that Nenji's name is going to be changed as well, his last name is just way too long.

Zetto, you need to stop going off the deep end Razz

EDIT The TC Station was taken, and they kept starting over(I still say... YOU JUST DON'T GET DELETED BY A METTOOL), we only took TP because it was already close to the first stage. So TomaMan is a speculation.

I dunno... Yamtoman actually does have sort of a ring to it XD
Or maybe... Yamman!

Aaanyhow, I do agree on that part... even though it was bad it could've been much worse Razz

TotemMan? >_< AxeMan? Evil or Very Mad

I really hope CoA doesn't keep going through the sanity ladder the wrong way (why did they do so in the first place Confused ) Anyway, I agree with Raijin. Let's just do hope that TomahawkMan will be called TomahawkMan outside battle. His in-battle, chip, and wherever else name should be something like "TomahwkMN", "TomahkMan SP/DS", "Tomahwk V2/3/DS"

And then I just heard my brother watching Street Fighter the Movie... THawkMan :grr: :grr: :grr:

The character limit is 8, and they need two slots for "SP" and "DS". So a navi's name will have to be six characters long in battle and on their chip.

At least it's won't be like EXE4. Thanks to the Free Tournaments and the fact your three-character registration name had to be tacked onto the end of each transferrable navi, we ended up with five character limits for names, and abuses of abbreviation like "GutsM".
