Which version do you have? I found a wide blade in ura 1 in one of the dead ends. Make sure that you have an untrap activated. If I remember correctly, I found it all the way to the left of the area, where you would go to if you were going towards the next arrow to ura 2. If you don't see any GMD then jack out then jack back into the net then go back to ura 1 and look around.

The thing is...it has been rumored that the WideBlade S in the GMD in Under 1 can only be accessed in Game 2. As I and memnarch are in Game 7, we are far too late to grab the copies of the requisite chips.

As of now, we have one copy of LifeSword with the blades, and the Electown 10-Chip Trader has been EXCEPTIONALLY anal to me.

I got it in game 3 and game 2 so I don't know if that is very accurate. You should be able to get it in any game. :/

Higsby doesn't have it?

^ Nope. That would be too convenient for Capcom. Dirty -*is silenced*

^ Yes. If you switch a Z-Saber for a chip, that chip is stored in memory in that game. Future link between BN4 and MMZ3 will merit only the stored chip. My friend bought MMZ3 used and found a ShockWave in it. He put a Guard1 * in its place. Laughing

OK, one at a time.

WoodPowder--Check the Buddha statue in Yumland. Kill appropriate virus.
Slasher--Buy one in the Netopia Area dealer for the low low cost of 8800z.
Side Bamboo3--I don't know. Try BlackEarth.
Recov200--I don't know either.
Geddon3--Undernet 4. Purchase it for 50 frags.
FastGauge--BlackEarth1, in an in-battle GMD
Northwind--Purchase it in Under1, on the square that is accessible by the invisible path.

All of them, of course, can be obtained through any of the chip traders, if you have the requisite chips and lots of luck.

If you need woody powder you can do what he says or go to one of the people that give you extra folders and look through everyone's extra folders. I remember that there is a guy in Electown in game 2 or 3 that will have an extra folder that has wood powder.

Slasher, follow his directions

Side Bamboo 3, you can go to undernet 6 and they will have some GMDs that have it. I fnot then battle the bamboo virus there.

Recovery 200 I think I got it in a GMD in Castillo.

WoodyPowder can be found in a GMD at random in *-code in Uranet4. How convenient!

Slasher can be bought, no problem.

SideBamboo3, go to Uranet3, and wait for the two bamboo viruses with the IBGMD.

Recov200, I don't recall. Spam a Chip Trader.

Geddon3 can be bought for 50 frags in Uranet4 or you can go to Amerouppe Area and find one in a GMD.

FastGauge can be bought from the secret Uranet1 merchant or found in a BlackEarth IBGMD, usually with Shadow Navis.

NorthWind, see Uranet1's GMDs. Should pop up in T code at some time..

All right.... I have read all 19 pages of this thing, and it has answered some of my questions. I have the same problem with Duo in Super hard mode. (3rd time.)

In my folder are the following chips:

AntiDmg M [120] X1
AreaGrab S [0] X3
Barr200 O,U [0] X2
GunSolEX G[?] X1
Heat-V E [70] X1
Invis * [0] X2
Laserman L [100] X1
Longsword E [80] X2
M-Cannom E, F, G [120] X3
Meteros2 Q [60] X1
PanlSht2 C [60] X1
Recov150 T,Z
Recov200 H,H
Recov300 J
RedSun [?] X1
Snctuary S X1
Sword E [80] X2
Wideswrd E [80] X2

(I suck at making folders.) -_-;;

With my folder, I can do total

120+70+100+160+360+60+60+160+160=1250. (Plus X on GunDeSol and RedSun.)

Using PA's, I can do minimum:

120+70+100+400+400 (Lifesword X2) +500 (GigaCannon3) +300 (Meteors) = 1890 Damage.

There is NO WAY I can beat Duo with this folder.

According to all of you people, I should use HolyDream, Supervulcan, DoublePoint, some Atk +, And more stuff. Is there more better chips I can stick in my folder to beat him?

Navi Customizer:

Attack +1 X4
Airshoes
HP +500
Speed +1 X2

Should I use anything else? What should I take off/put in?

Thanks a lot for helping!

The biggest problem with your folder is that there are so many different codes. You will only be able to select one or two chips each turn, and that's just not going to cut it.

So... I should make a folder with almost all the same code?

I'd say keep it from 1 code to 3 or 4. If you choose a 1-code folder, you may find yourself running out of chips too fast in battles. However, you can delete enemies faster by selecting nearly any chip you want that you draw. 4 codes lets you have a wider variety of chips, but may limit the possibilities of combos with them.

Let's look at the chips individually.

AntiDmg M [120] X1--That's a keeper.
AreaGrab S [0] X3--Only one row to grab. Trim it away.
Barr200 O,U [0] X2--I guess...but the codes are terrible. * it or drop.
GunSolEX G[?] X1--Keeper.
Heat-V E [70] X1--Why? Discard immediately.
Invis * [0] X2--Staple. Bump to four copies.
Laserman L [100] X1--Ehh...I'd say lose it.
Longsword E [80] X2...|
Sword E [80] X2.........|---> LifeSword. A keeper. Bump to four copies if possible.
Wideswrd E [80] X2....|
M-Cannom E, F, G [120]--The weakened PA. 600 or nothing. Too risky without any stunning chips.
Meteros2 Q [60] X1--Terrible code. Chuck.
PanlSht2 C [60] X1--Only chip of its code. Gone.
Recov150 T,Z...|
Recov200 H,H...|---> With RollSoul? Great! Try to trim, though.
Recov300 J.......|
RedSun [?] X1--Unless your record's good, try to toss.
Snctuary S X1--I suppose...

Now your NC. Put in a BusterPack, and Custom+1 and +2 in there. Fill the rest in with what you desire.

Hope this helps.

So... I should only have 1 Areagrab, find a different Barr200 (is there such thing?), Heat-V was to activate Firesoul, Laserman -> Gone, chuck Meteros, and yeah.

Thanks, I shall try this. :]

Of course you don't have to totally take his word for it. If you want to use a firesoul folder, a good one takes up a couple of codes (at least 3 or 4) and you get quite a few program advances. other than that I suggest you use Roll Soul in this duel, personally.
