I want to make a few suggestions for the benefit of the site. I recently got hated on (check The New Dictionary of Cultural Literacy to see if they have an accurate description, Izu) by like all the admins/mods except 3 for "turning my thread into an advertising spree" with one image. I feel one thing that would make this site less of a hate zone for Admins on a god quest to abolish all traces of internet beyond REO would be a Blatant Advertising forum. I think it would relieve some tension between the advertisers and "Gods" of this forum if they could make one thread in a seperate forum and not have their freaking threads locked :grr: One more thing, possibly drop the arrogance level of some of the admins from here (||||||||||) to about here (||||||||||) This would improve admin/member relationships quite a bit. I don't mean to seem like an ass, but this isn't GODSPALACE.GOD, it is KISHUKU.COM... Please, do treat it like it is just a website, not like it is NYC and you are Juliani... There are no crimes, no one needs to be arrested, and there is no need for worshipping of false gods. Do try to understand where I am coming from, please. G'day.

That it does. Besides, the admin are just doing their jobs. :P And most of the time, they get annoyed when people break the rules that they're supposed to have read in the first place. I don't think you were even smashed that severely.

No matter how many "no offense"s you say, calling the admin and mods "gods" is going past the line. They do their job to keep this forum intelligent and spam-free, and an advertisement forum is complete spam. Do you think of Ryouko's bandwith? Stuff like that would kill it, period.

You are so correct Nazne, I can see how an all text forum would be a much bigger waste of bandwidth than a Fanart and Sprite forum... Foolish of my n00bness to ever pass judgement on the Gods, err, Mods of this forum.

[EDIT] Oh, and BTW, if they dislike my suggestions, they will just do like they do to everyone else, and insult me, make asses of themselves and reject my ideas. Furthermore, two months down the road, they will use my ideas, and Ryouko will claim she thought of them before I did, and say that someone reminded her that she had the intentions to do it soon enough anyway. I know how this forum works Wink

It doesn't really matter. Ryouko can't handle someone who talks back. Neither can Tabby. This is where the "God" statements come from. She needs to realize, it is a website, and she is not God. I will probably get banned anyway. Tabby likes to ban people for reasons next to irrelevant. G'day.

As a fair reminder, this is Ryouko's webspace. This is not a democracy. Any member of the staff here is well within their rights to give verbal warnings, lock threads/posts, and/or delete threads/posts, if there is a rule being broken. Honestly, we do our best to enforce the rules without being overbearing. It is my opinion that you are simply bitter towards a few of the staff and are taking it out in this thread (which as far as I can tell, is soaking withn sarcastic comments and "hate"). None of us are trying to "abolish all traces of internet beyond REO," at all.

There will never be a "Blatant Advertising" forum, because people are allowed to advertise in their signatures (which can and more often than not, do accompany every one of their posts). There is no need to advertise in any other way here.

When you're done being a wise-ass, I'm sure we'll be more willing to discuss things in further detail, though. And if you are truely dissatisfied in the way things work around here, you are more than welcome to leave. I don't see where you get off flaming Ryouko in this way. She is one of the nicest and most tolerant people I know. Honestly...

What makes you think your ideas are so great?

Let me remind you that fanfiction and fanart sections are actually controllable. There are sucky fanfics and arts, but people who spam there can be easily dealt with. An advertisement section will allow spamhead dumbasses to post every popup that comes up on their spyware-infested computer, without regard for any of the rules which govern this forum.

And let me remind you again that Ryouko doesn't give a damn about you. Just your ideas. And so far, they don't seem all that great. Ryou-sama deals excellently with objections-when they are brought up and they are rational. You seem to think you are higher than the admin and have a right to be obeyed. Ryouko runs this forum. She gets to decide what is best for her baby, and though you might try to tell her nicely that something is needed, you don't do it by running around calling her arrogant.

Ryouko and all the other admins and mods are people who are just trying to make this forum a fun place to come to and talk about Rockman. Are you aware that Ryouko actually pays a website so we can watch clips and have fun stuff like that on her website? What makes you think that they are pushy and bossy when you yourself are acting like all the things you say the mods and admins are.

Everyone here does their damned hardest to make this a fun place to chat. Who are you to say that they are acting conceted when you just made a thread saying all of the admins faults and not giving any incentive as to how they act that way or how they could fix it.

Maybe they can't cause that problem doesn't exist in the first place.

Next time, instead of trying to embarass some extremely nice and caring people why don't you take this to a PM and deal with it in private okay? The boards do not need this drama and if you have a problem with everyone then you handle it privately. Not make a public thread that isn't even a suggestion it's a rude comment against people who don't deserve it.

ummm... I think it's becuase you guys pretty much demand perfection in sprite, but not even allowing sprites that have slight frankenstiens... I thought some frankenstiens are allowed... as long as they still look custom...

As for fanfics, at least you guys have a bit more freedom there...

There is no such thing as perfection. As far as I knew, well-done copy/paste works was allowed if it wasn't obvious. However, this is off-topic, and the admins don't do much with the Spriter's Lab. You'll want to talkto Core and/or Sketch about that.

Meh... but the "arrogance level" is not there at all (except slightly in the Sprite lab) at least they're nice enough to new people when they break a rule (please read the rules...)

I think the major problem is that the people take the mods' corrections the wrong way. I noticed that what the mods like to do is tell itlike itis. If you're doing something wrong, they don't tiptoe around it, they're gonna tell you what you're doing is wrong. It may seem a tad arrogant to those who don't understand, but in reality, they're just doing their job. I had a hard time understanding that at first, but it's just the way they are. I'm sure they get like that because, after all, this is a big forum, and they must have a lot of n00b problems. I'd get fed up with dealing with issues too if I were them.

Anyways, point of the message is, that's just how they are. Don't take offense to it, because they usually don't intend to offend you, just show you that what you are doing is wrong.

Also, yelling back isn't usually a good idea. Trust me, I've gotten banned on several occasions because of fighting back. It is their forum, after all. Try to be nice, polite, and considerate in your replies, otherwise you'll just wind up engulfed in flames. No one liked being yelled at, even the mods.

From my own experience, I can't see how Tree can call the mods arrogent. I've messed up and been corrected, and I've never detected any arrogence in the mod's posts.

And I don't see how you can expect to accomplish anything by insulting the higher-ups. :eyes:

However, if Tree thought that there was support for his views here; he was sadly mistaken.

Mods and admins don't let Tree get to you. We, the forum users, are right behind you!
