This is my first attempt at making an AMV. I sort of rushed because I want to post this so I can see a flurry of comments (I hope?) after I got back from camp. I really rushed (actually) since I started this on Saturday night and have to finish the preview in Sunday, so it's sort of not really good. I am going to put a black letterbox for this AMV for sure....too much words. Any comments welcomed.

Let's see... when I make AMVs, I have a nice big batch of guidelines I gathered over the time I've been AMVing from watching other people's AMVs and the sort, and when followed, they tend to make an AMV look LOADS better. I figure I'll tell you which ones you need to improve on.
First of all, the biggest guideline that even I have trouble with. Limit the length of your clips, because the shorter, the more you have to add, and the more variety your video will have in the end. I like to stick to below five seconds per clip, but any longer can suffice if the clip works out anyway.
Secondly, another major thing. Talking. Maybe it's just me, but videos packed with just people talking look absolutely horrible and irritate me to NO end. Try really hard to limit the clips of characters talking, instead, shorten the clip to where they only open their mouth a couple of times before quickly flashing into something else. Or avoid talking all together and do only action. Of course, Netto yelling "CROSS FUSION!" or Rockman yelling "Rokkubustah!" as he shoots are exceptions, since they're paired with actions.
Lastly, timing and appropriateness. I won't go into appropriateness because you can't tell what they're saying in Japanese unless you happen to know that language, but basically it means make the clips match the lyrics. On Zips, since I didn't know the words, I just made the clips match up with the timing of the words rather than their meaning. Depending on how the song goes, you need to try to have the clips go in time with both words and beat, otherwise it just looks like you're randomly sticking clips with a song. ^^; A good portion of the AMV didn't really seem like it was on time with the beat or the words, to me.
Otherwise, it's okay for your first try! Just fix up those things I pointed out and I'm sure it'll look much better. ^_^

Yeah I am sure it will. Argh I know it's not top-notched since I started on Saturday night and have to finish by Sunday evening....I seriously rushed this whole thing. I might change something after I come back.

Btw, I don't really want that much action in my AMV in the beginning..I mean the music was sort of peaceful and I figured that peaceful music should match with more talkings and their daily lifes instead of their action-packed part of the day. =D

Great scenes, great music great work. I especially like how its starts off with Netto & Rockman's battling relationship/friendship, and then onto his friendships with other navis through cross-fusion.

However, I'll admit I have some mild critique:

1. Is the final version gonna end so abruptly? Or a more appropriate scene is being planned.

2. Obviosuly, It would take an entire long AMV to show all the soul-unisons Rockman has received so far, though perhaps you could squeeze in a few more perhaps, if you cut out some of the pre-Roll-Soul scenes or even the Gutsman vs Normal Navi scenes. You could also speed up the various soul-unisons, in time with the music, qiving quick flashes of all the lesser known ones. Of course, this also depends on whether you have clips of them available. If your relying on fansubs, I understand only around 6 have appeared so far.

1. no, my final version is not going to end like that. That's sloppy. It's going to end EXTREMELY similar to DeadlySerenade's way in her "Give a Reason", showing that Rockman got deleted and then reborn.

2. Since I already finished the final version, it's going to be in this order: Roll Soul, Search Soul, Metal Soul, Guts Soul, Fire Soul, Aqua Soul, and Blues Soul. I am planning to add [spoil:8fe48139d5]Forte Cross Rockman[/spoil:8fe48139d5], but that's only if I can squeeze it in.

EDIT: Managed to squeezed it in, now just have to save it.

EDIT: Finally it saved. Now I will be able to post the uncropped version soon...I will post the cropped version soon.

Wow... That was very nicely done. I give it 7/10!

My only gripe was that the majority of points (MegaMan's activation, the individual Souls) all used clips from one episode for each part. But since I'm guilty of that too, I can't complain too much.

Hmm not bad at alll for a first time amv infact its alot better than the average ones you see around. Deadly-sensei tough you very well . My oly gripe was the ending when you could have added somthing more like it just took out the mood for me when you just saw rockman jump and then stare at you for like 5 or 6 seconds or was it 4. Prehaps you could have shown rockman shooting the rockbuster at pharaohman then jumping and looking at you so it wouldent last so long. I have no choice but to give it 1/10 Shame on you....nah just messing with you XD 8.5/10. Not bad as I have said before its very good for a first time AMV.
