Well, I've just gotta make this thread, since it hasn't been made before.

What is your favorite video game music song, and why?

Mine, with no doubt would be 'Big Blue' from the F-Zero series, more preferably the electric guitar remix performed by my favorite band, but out of all the game series, it would have to be the unlockable Big Blue sound from F-Zero GX. (The normal Big Blue sound on GX sounds nothing like Big Blue.) I just love the beat and tune of the sound, with tons of amping of the guitar and drums.

I also love the original Big Blue sound from F-Zero for SNES, with the cleanliness of the sound and all.

My second favorite sound would be the theme to Rockman 1+2 EXE. I don't think there's much explanation for that one.

Great Battlers from Rockman.EXE 3. Best battle music... EVER.

I also like the Flashman, Bubbleman, Airman, and Metalman stage musics from Rockman 2.

Also, from Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland, the stage music for Butter Building. Extremely catchy.

Then there's Storm Eagle, Spark Mandrill, Flame Stag, Blizzard Buffalo and Gravity Beetle stage music from Rockman X1-3.

I can go on but I'm feeling lazy today.

Right now, the music from Tales of Symphonia is stuck in my head, as is the Fire Emblem music

Golden Sun has great music, as does Smash Bros, The Kirby Dream Land past stage from Smash Bros is one of my favs

It's just the fact that that's the ONLY song they put in Donkey Konga which resembles anything close to rap, and that to true rap fans, it's a disgrace. -_-

Right now, my friend and I have decided that Final Destination from Tales of Symphonia is our favorite song of all time. The best VG sountrack would be from Tales of Phantasia for me. Motoi Sakuraba is an amazing composer =P (He did Golden Sun, All Star Ocean, all Tales games, Shining Force, the Mario sports games, and a lot of other stuff by Camelot Software and other various gaming companies.)After that I would choose a lot of the Original Rockman and Rockman X songs. I also like a few songs from Final Fantasy.

i seem to like the credits from EXE4 and the undernet from EXE4.

I was going to make a topic like this... XD

I mostly like the music in La Pucelle, including the boss theme (what is it called? ._.). Also I like Game Breaker from Phantom Brave, the fight with Leblanc and her goons in FFX-2. Nearly every theme in Viewtiful Joe and Viewtiful Joe 2. The boss themes on Digimon World 2. The major boss theme in Legend of Dragoon. Force Your Way, and The Man With The Machine Gun from FFVIII.

Uh I have three versions of viewtiful world on my computer(I wish I had the translation), a song from sonic adventure 2 and heroes, and both japenese and us normal and remixes of the kingdom hearts theme (simple and clean/hikari).

The games that hold my favorite music are Halo 2, Pokemon (especially the lyrical versions of some of the tracks like Umi and Memory P), The Legend of Zelda (Mostly all the games), Earthbound, some Sonic Heroes tracks, The Battle Network 2 Track, Some Ragnarok tracks, some Tales of Symphonia, some Megaman tracks, all the Megaman Legends Tracks...that SNES Sailor Moon RPG game's tracks and I THINK that's it.

There are ALOT of games out there with music I really like, I can't honestly name them all. I will cite Jazz Jackrabbit as having alot of my favorites, though, especially the theme music.

The title theme for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The flutes, fiddles, and other instruments that were playing in the song I found to be soothing and fitted perfectly with the theme of the game.

And also the theme for Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. I though the composer, Harry Gregson-Willaims, did a fantastic job for composing this awesome song.

My favorite music depends on what I'm playing/hearing/seeing recently. I definitely love PIU's Love Song. Wish I could find a whole version to that...

EDIT: Oh yeah! Does anyone know the title of Legends 2 ending music (if it has one)? That tune gets stuck to my head faster than anything else :] .
