.hack//G.U. -- New info!!

Vol. 4 does give you a clear flag. In the Japanese version, if you had all the data flags, you could unlock and watch .hack//GIFT. It's pointless for the American version, since we already got GIFT for free. I believe that was the reason.

If not, there was some reason for getting it on the Japanese version, I just don't remember why.

I also thought that he could be just A.I., but I'm still more for the "trapped in the World" theory : o.

I figure this may be just Kite's character data being used by The World. Corrupted a bit of course. That scene in the trailer where AIDA is fighting "DS Kite" lol reminds me of that part in Matrix Reloaded where Neo says "Hm, upgrades." Hehe. Maybe we'll see evil versions of all the dot hackers in this game. Can you imagine an evil Helba? Hmm... But it seems like the main character in this game is an AI, which means there is no logging out. This will be interesting if we get to play as AIDA. The World will be the only world we exist in and we won't have to log out to continue the story or anything.

Sure would have been nice to have had Kite be that strong and fast in the previous games. :] Like if you beat the game you could go back and play as "Corrupted Kite" or something. Heh.

Ok first off unless there's something i'm missing I don't think the chater is named ADIA. I rember seeing that word in the trailer. But it stood for something. A.D.I.A, Something something Data Abnormalty.

Also I still wonder how far off this is from the game. Seeing as Twlight was about... what 4 years after the game

Yes, they really should have released all four games as one single game. Imagine having to buy each disk of Final Fantasy 7...

AIDA's name stands for Artificially Intelligent Data Anomaly.

There was a kind of joke episode called GIFT where they had strange animation and all the characters from the game and anime were in it doing silly things. But there was also an episode called Unison where all the characters from the game and anime got together after the events of both just to meet up one more time and it wasn't goofy or anything. Even Tsukasa logs back in. I believe it is a bonus episode that comes with the last volume of .hack //SIGN DVDs.

Hmm. It doesn't look half bad I love the dark atmosphere it has. About the main character I support the after he got Data drained he got trapped in the world and now hes fighting to find a way out. What would be the point of playing a living fighting AI when CCORP would just delete him(I don't think those kind of AI's were allowed in the game.) the minute they hear about him and what would be his motivation?

I'm also glad they've finally making a new .hack game series. I was hooked on the first one and I've seen Sign and Dusk.

From what I saw in the trailor, the story looks to me like this: AIDA for some reason or another has an avatar that can switch from one class to another (perhaps a winner of a contest?). He's either become really strong from logging hours and hours on the World or his avatar came like that. He's going around looking for tough fights and beating the crap out of everyone (he does seem to be enjoying it too). So I think he gets an email from someone telling him to got to delta hidden forbidden holy ground cause there's some really strong person there. So he goes and Corrupted Kite appears. AIDA's like "time to die little man" but gets his butt handed to him. I also believe that he's lost his memories too which is like what happened to tsukasa. So perhaps he acts totally different from before. Which would also explain why that guy says "welcome to the world." cause he has no memory of it now.

Prime, You pretty much just said what I have been saying all along @_@;, except I don't think he lost his memory. Oh, and it is impossible for AIDA to rack up hours to get all his stuff. There is no legal way for him to get all that pwn stuff, so he must be a hacker or know a hacker.
