My favorite old school consoles were SNES and PSX. They had a slew of great games, such as the Tales series and the Rockman series. _________________

I'm most likely the only one that is going to mention these to start with, but I remember two game systems that I use to play on a lot before I got a NES... Those two games systems are...
The ATARI and a Commador 64 (C64), the second was a computer but mainly my family used it to play different games. I have an old picture of me playing on it while sitting on my aunts lap, I was about three years old in the picture. The Atari, I can remember coming to my grandmothers house and playing games like Pong, River Raid, and Space Invaders on it for hours on end. My favorite, and the one I have a lot of memories of is the good old Atari, in fact I might grab it since I'm at my grandmothers now. =3 Play some space invaders, "Hello boys! I'm back!" _________________

How is GBA old school? o_O;;
I'd probably have to say GB, seeing as how I've never even touched any of the other ones <_<;;

Heh, I had to track down for my Atari 2600 (I have it, the 5200, the Lynx, and the Jaguar, no luck in getting a 7800 for some reason...). Oddly enough, my MOTHER had a Commodore 64, so now it is in my collection, when she found it she thought it was a VCR XD |

Sega Genesis, the first console I've ever owned. I only had a few games for it, though. Most of what I did have was bought way after I had my Playstation, so that doesn't really count. _________________ Greatness is achieved through the pursuit of greatness. |

Actually, I think the PS1 was released in late 1995 in the U.S.. So it is alomost a decade old. :o
Meh, but my favorit old school consoles had to be SNES and Genisis, I only had those two. Both had good games for them before I ever got into Rockman. :O _________________ (Insert sig here because Matt hasn't thought up of a real one yet. D:) |

PSX is over 10 years old in Japan and is 10 years old in North America and Europe in August. It is old school : o. Nintendo 64 will be old school next year, by your standards. That's close enough for me. To me, a system is old school when they cease releasing brand new games for it in America. _________________

Then it is not old school. They still make games for the PS1 (For god knows WHAT reason.) |

It's a tie between N64 and SNES. Snes was my first system, and I had some of the most kickass games for it: Mario World, Chrono Trigger, Megaman X, F-Zero, Donkey Kong Country, Zelda, Star Fox, and some others. As for my N64, I had a S**tload of games for it, and some insane ones like Star Fox, Pokemon Stadium, Mario Kart, Snowboard Kids, GoldenEye, StarWars Episode 1: Racer, StarWars (I forgot what it's called, but it's a Third/First person shooter, and it's not the star fighter one, it might have been a launch title), F-Zero: X, Mistichf (sp?) Makers, Zelda OoT, Mario 64, Diddiy Kong Racing, and some others, like Super Smash Brothers and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil...But, I did love the Sega Genesis and Saturn aswell, as my uncle had both, and he had some crazy games for 'em, like Gunstar Heroes, Sonic I, Sonic II, Sonic and Knuckles, Golden Axe, Mortal Kombat II, and some others...I cant think of any more...[/i] _________________

I also enjoyed Pong and Space Invadars...I remember my old doctor having a tabletop version of both, and my grandmother having Space invadars and Asteriods. Anyone ever played Asteriods? _________________

NES and SNES are the best old school systems ever.
I really though wouldn't consider the N64 an old school system IMO because of it's use of graphics. I'm sorry, but I just can't think of a 3-d system as an old school one.
Well, except for virtualboy..... |

I like N64 for Starfox, although my old SNES system is my favorite by far. I remember the hours I spent just playing it, shuddering to think I would have to go outside some day...My favorite games were Gradius III, Mega Man X1 (still kinda like that game for its music), and Mario World.
Ahhh, the memories... _________________ Better to keep your mouth shut and make people wonder if you are stupid, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. |

Yes, they do. Madden 2006 is coming out for it in a few months (Why anyone would BUY it is beyond me.) |

Go to Gamestop's website. You'll find some more games besides the aforementioned. |
