Viz/ShoPro confirmed yesterday that they have the license. It's also said that Sam Vincent will be Hikaru's VA. |

Hmm... I've never heard him play the role of a child. It will be interesting to hear how he'll pull it off. I guess since he's in it, Ocean Group will be doing the voices : o.
As for Sai's voice actor, I just have to say that he is about my least favorite voice actor in existance. Some of the voice actors are kind of akward choices, but I guess it doesn't matter since I doupt I'll be buying the series anyway (I have seen it all, after all...) _________________

Ocean Group huh? Nice, I might take a look at this DVD to see if the anime is any good. I kinda lost interest in the manga a while back, but I'll admit that the drawing style IS very nice. |

Brad Swaile as Sai
Samuel Vincent as Hikaru
Scott Perrie as Akira
Andrew Toth as Kaga
Cathy Weseluck as Yuki
Chantal Strand as Akari
Keith Miller as Kimihiro
Kelly Sheridan as Ms. Ichikawa
Michael Adamthwaite as Ogata
Paul Dobson as Toya Meijin
-------------------------------
All of these Voice Actors except for 1 have worked on the NT Warrior cast. One of them voiced a character on the American cartoon. _________________

Well at least it didn't end up as 4shame TV under the name "Harry's black and white checkers" as I predicted.

I kind of ruled out the possibility of it being on a kid's station. It seems like a show that not many American kids would enjoy...*coughcausethey'reallidiotscough*

It's easy to lose interest, but if you don't then it is well worth it =P. Although both stop pretty abruptly...
does anyone else find it strange that Mitanti voiced by a girl, yet Hikaru has a man? Mitani's voice was lower than Hikaru's in the Japanese version... _________________

*sooooo glad she's already seen it @_@*
Okay, I can't say I'm too fond of many of those VA's. Oh well, maybe it will work out?
I wonder if any TV networks will pick it up. I wonder if it will get taken of three eps later XD
I have to say, I was pretty damn skeptical when I saw "A drama about Go." Yet it's so GOOD (yay to Izu for pimping this show in everyone XD)
Ah well, at least america took it. Maybe a blassing (maybe?) _________________ Roses are #FF0000, violets are #0000FF. All my base are belong to you.

What I want to know is, will it be English AND Japanese and not just English.
Anyway, I don't want to go too far off topic with this but I got my Go Board today! \o/ I'm going to teach my sister and my friends how to play. I hope they'll like it. _________________

Seeing as how it would seem boring to most young kids, you could safely rule out KidsWB. As for Cartoon Network, no matter where it would go, it would crash and burn. There's not enough action for Toonami, yet it can't go on Miguzi simply because it doesn't have a huge girl audience.
It remains to be seen where it will go, if at all. |

Sounds like it'll be bilingual, but it might be being released on DVD first, since the Naruto DVD isn't coming out until December. Also, the cast makes me happy X3
I'm glad that Brad Swaile gets to play a slightly more serious character like Sai, rather than make Hikaru into a carbon copy Lan. I was more expecting Akira and Hikaru to have the opposite choices of voice actor as compared to what they've gotten. I keep imagining Sam Vincent playing Akira due to his HUGE resemblance to Athrun from Gundam SEED, although Scott Perrie's proven himself to be pretty good on AXESS. |
