Pay attention, now. There are two timelines defined up there. "Cossack creates Forte" is in the Rockman.EXE (Battle Network) timeline.

-Ahem, first, ZERO doesn't die after X5, he reconstructs himself, from near death, nobody knows how, he mysteriously reappears after the erasing of the Z-Nightmare.

-second when Zero is put to sleep, Neo Arcadia is already created, or in it's beginning stages, how do I know that, simply put, Zero is still awake when he and X banish Omega from Neo Arcadia, Zero sleeps AFTER that event, furthermore, when Bile Reprogrammed the Mother Elf, wich is what started the friggin elf wars in the first place, X used his original body to seal it in the Tree of Life(Yggr-Drasill) vault (see Elpis' battle area) in a secret area deep in Neo Arcadia.

-Third, before that X is sealed, he creates the four generals, all carrying X's DNA, with X absent, Neo Arcadia seemingly isn't at it's best, and Ciel a human scientist, creates the ruthless Copy of X.

-fourth, after Zero is awakened by Ciel and PASSY, he retires the ruthless copy of X, and is cast into a desert, during the time Zero is absent from the Resistance, Elpis, a lackey from Neo Arcadia, has been Expelled from Neo Arcadia, and helps to create the new resistance.

-fifth, Elpis fails in his Operation Rightheous Strike, and decides to Obtain
the power of the Dark Elf to destroy Neo Arcadia, in this event, Elpis infiltrates Neo Arcadia's vault, and destroys the Original X's body, uses the Dark Elf to battle Zero, loses and is turned into a Cyber Elf.

-sixth, Copy X is ressurected by dr.Vile, since he and Omega have returned after exile in space for a couple of dosens of years, Copy X takes them back into Neo Arcadia, that insane bastard launches a Missile in Neo Arcadia's residential area, JUST to capture Dark Elf, Copy X is retired once again by Zero, whereafter dr.Vile takes command of Neo Arcadia, Zero retires the remaining numbers of dr.Vile, and heads into Under Arcadia, where he confronts Omega, and at last Zero's Original Body...yes it's true, the hero you have been playing with is a totall copy, save for the soul, Zero destroys the last of heroes, the original body of Zero, and cleanses with this the Dark Elf of her curse.

The mother elf is free, now Neo Arcadia, controlled by dr.Vile is probably Zero's next action to retire, though I wonder how long Cyber elf X can hold himself together...

Just something interesting I noticed while going over the X1 intro. The events of the X series almost certainly start sometime after 2114, since that's the copyright date given on the computer stuff at the beginning of the game.

Extending that, based on Hinoken's sequence of events and Forte/Bass's ending of "The Power Fighters," [spoil:bf9fdb7c6b]with Zero (who I'm pretty sure was at least partially based on X's design) apparently quite a ways along being built, judging by the silhouette[/spoil:bf9fdb7c6b], at the absolute latest the Classic series had to end sometime around 2084 in order to give a minimum of thirty years for X to undergo testing.

In actuality, the Classic series probably ended even earlier, because it seems to be hinted that X was in his capsule thing for much longer than thirty years and also because of the "200X" starting date.

Here's my two cents for the EXE timeline. Or rather, timelines:

Now here's where the timeline splits:

Main timeline:

Rockman.EXE Battle Chip Grand Prix(Netto's story, defeats Enzan)
Rockman.EXE 4 Red Sun
Rockman.EXE 5 Team of Blues

[spoil:6e242adab7]This way the "Dark Blues deal doesn't happen two games in a row", the operators on Netto's team are mostly new characters[/spoil:6e242adab7]

Alternate timeline:

Rockman.EXE Battle Chip Grand Prix(Enzan's story, defeats Netto)
Rockman.EXE 4 Blue Moon(Netto gets back at Enzan for the Battle Chip GP and finally beats him in a Tournment)
Rockman.EXE 5 Team of Colonel [spoil:6e242adab7](Except for Barrel and Dingo, Netto's team is made of operators who are already established people)[/spoil:6e242adab7]

X8 takes place in 21XX. CM takes place in 22XX. So, yes, X8 is before CM.
