Please read these rules very carefully to avoid being banned. We take fanart very seriously at these boards, and there is no excuse for theivery.

+ONLY post fanart that is YOURS. You are not allowed to post another person's artwork, even if you have their permission. There are no excuses on this subject. It is called ART THEFT if you do.

+Please be respectful to the artists who post their work. There is a big difference between a critique, and a flame. Those who bash other artists will be banned immediatly. When giving critique, please tell the artist what you liked and what can be improved.

+Saying in reply that something is "cool" is great and all, but most artists are looking for a real response. Be kind, give some helpful advice, or tell them exactly what you like about their work!

+There are to be no sprites posted in this forum. That is what the "Spriter's Lab" is for.

+When posting non-Rockman related art, place an "OT" in the topic name for "Off Topic". For original art, you may put "OA". Fancharacters of the Rockman series still count for the Rockman series so an "OT" or "OA" is not needed.

+If you feel it is necessary, please give your picture a rating in the topic. That way, you can tell vieweres ahead of time of things that may get flamed.

+Non-REO hosted manga or comics are only allowed one topic. You are not to post an update everytime your comic updates. Please just link to an external source. The board is not your news page for your comic.

+Graphic art is allowed. You may even have official art on your graphics if it looks like you had a lot of effort put into it. This applies especially to wallpapers.

+Requesting for fanart is not allowed. You may make topics where people can request for your own fanart though. Make sure it follows the rules.

+Please don't make one post entirely a 'thanks!' post. It's been happening a lot and has been really spammy lately. Any post that only contains a few words will be deleted. This is not only a fanart rule, but a general rule.

+ Please keep your artwork into one single thread. We request this in order to keep the clutter of threads to a minimun, and to your advantage for being able to display all your works together. Please observe the following conditions to open new threads:

- Keep all your fanart (hand drawn, computer generated, vector-made, etc.) into one single thread. It doesn't matter if the thread is pushed to the last page, please re-use it. Any other works containing your own artwork, like wallpapers, should remain in this thread as well.

- Keep all graphic works in a separated thread from your artwork. We consider graphic works the following: Wallpapers, Skins, avatars and signatures made with official artwork, anime screen caps, or sprites. Remember you may not use fanart in the graphic works you post here.

- Open one topic to promote your own comics. Be aware you can only open ONE topic regardless of how many comics you have going. Please provide a link the hosting site/gallery for your comics.

You can always return the edited and corrected versions to the original author for it to post it in the forums. You cannot, however post the corrected fanfic in the name of the author, it has to be posted by the author itself.

How much effort has to be put into a graphic art for it to be defined acceptable by the rules of the forums? Merging a couple of images by Photoshop? Or more?

Even if I put a huge arse 'NC-17' rating in the title, I'm not allowed to post hentai or nudity I've drawn, am I? ._. Just making sure, since everywhere I try to get my crap out is either way too secluded or downright ignored for long periods of time (i.e. Yahoo groups and Star 69) or just too strict about it (i.e. Deviant Art and most forums).

Yes, no pornography allowed. We prefer to be more "kid friendly but still a bit violent." Kids are also either ignorant to what most things mean or too curious for their own good and will click on things (I was one of them).

Though, not sure if I should ask here, but am I allowed to advertise my Yahoo hentai group in my signature? I have it set where only people who join can see things, and I have to approve them first.

I would classify R as slight nakedness, artistic nudity or humor levels. It could also be alcohol, drugs, or lots and lots of blood. But I wouldn't think drugs would be allowed here, especially since it's illegal. Best to run it by a mod or admin before posting though.

On another note...fan mangas are only allowed to have the first post edited whenever there is an update, but after reading one comic for a while, most users who read it may continue to do so but no longer post. Hypothetical situation: let's say only one or two users may continue to be faithful enough to post feedback to EVERY update. Since all updates occur on the first post for a non-REO hosted fan manga, technically whenever there's an update to the comic, it's never actually brought up to the top of the list until someone else responds to that update. But if there's only one user who responds continually, it's probably a case of multiple posting, a case which I don't know is against the rules or not.

Would it be okay for one user to respond with a new reply continuously as long as it's a response to a new update in another author's manga, or would that be a case of rule-breaking by multiple posting?

With new artwork, multiple posting is allowed, but you are not even allowed to announce new updates.
