Rockman Resurrection Fanfic: Life Goes On.

(Year 25XX, City of Eternal Light, the final battle between the Irregulars, led by Nightmare, and the Irregular Hunters, lead by Cyber X.)

Coyote looked at the flaming battlefield. His heart raging with anger. “Mall…Mallory…” He looked at his former love, now possessed by the power of irregular.

“I…I…” Mallory can’t control her own actions, as if something inside her is controlling her. “I…run…run, Coyote!”

“Wh…why—“Coyote barely finished his sentence, before an apartment on the left of Mallory is set Ablaze. Mallory’s buster is activated, now she is pointing it at Coyote.

On the other side of the city, a Mute Hunter, by the name of Calamity Axis. Has his orange beam saber out. “Nightmare…” His holo-projector emitted the words, “Don’t force me to kill you.”

“Kill me? Do you think someone like YOU can kill me?” The purple X look-alike smirked, pulling out his scythe; he dashed at Calamity, ready to strike him down the second his scythe made contact with Calamity’s head.

Nothing.

Nothing, other then a clash between a solid scythe, made out of Dark Matter, named “Apocalypse”. And an orange Saber, dubbed “God’s Demise.”

“Heh…” Calamity had another ability—to send mental messages to signals his recognize. “Nightmare…dark god, eh?”

“Of course I am…” Nightmare continued to hold his scythe down. While secretly charging his buster. Without the need of actually transforming his hand into one.

“Did I mention this saber’s name since we crossed each other’s road?” Calamity continued, “The saber’s name—God’s demise!” He Backed away and fired several ‘Plasma Blasts’ from his Beam Saber.

…” Coyote’s face went pale, he did not expect to face such a deadly enemy…and now he has only one choice: To kill her, and release her from pain.

“Coyote! Run!” Mallory wailed hopelessly. Her buster aimed at Coyote. Firing a Straight Beam.

“My lord…!” Coyote barely dodged the beam. But to find his hunter comrade— Hugo, down on the ground, heavily injured.

“Hugo!” Coyote yelled as his dodged another beam. This time, another one was struck. Striker. Shot down while preparing to fire his Strike-Buster. “Striker!”

“Nah…Coyote…this girl’s a monster…” Hugo tried to use his last breath, barely speaking. “Your love life must’ve been…destruct…tive…” Hugo’s core stopped. Humorous, to the end of his life.

“Erk…that girl…” Striker stood up, but his left leg injured so badly he fell to his knees yet again. “This is hopeless…” He finished and teleported himself and Hugo out.

“Damn it!” Coyote turned to His girlfriend, and pulled out both his saber and rifle. His Light Blue Saber’s beam emitting. “I’m sorry, Mallory…” He started to dash around Mallory like a wild lion, while the possessed Mallory’s rapid buster tried to strike Coyote, its efforts were wasted. “It” being the irregular chip installed right in Mallory’s reactor.

As Nightmare dodged the plasma shots, his charging was complete. “Well…this fight’s ending. Calamity…” Nightmare yelled his attack, as his buster activated and white light emits from it. “Nightmare. Paradise Never.”

A huge energy blast left Nightmare’s buster, straight at Calamity, Calamity knew he can’t dodge it. “Risky…but to hell with it!” He jumped right into the attack. The whole attack completely overwhelming him as he turned his back. As the whole thing hit the ground, causing an explosion that set fire on everything within the 8M radius.

“Heh…worthless hunters…” Nightmare looked at the flaming remains of a cloth, from Calamity’s Cape. “Hmph…”

“Think I’m dead, Nightmare?” A voice came into his mind.

“…no!” Nightmare yelled, as a figure slowly walks out of the flames.

Although his cape is gone, his body is burnt, and his back armors are almost destroyed, Calamity stood there. His chest orb emitting his symbol. His insignia. His title in the hunters. “Bloodshed Dawn”. His eyes omitting Calamity and Destroy. A pair of dead cold eyes that means. Calamity will painfully, or even painless and quickly, kill the enemy. “You failed to kill me…yet again…” The voice came into Nightmare’s mind.

“No! You…!” Calamity had appeared right in front of him. His scarred mouth. Smiling.

“Did I tell you…I kill for pleasure?” Calamity stabbed his saber right into Nightmare’s core.

‘Impossible.’

‘Impossible.’ Thought Nightmare. “You…I got a last resort too…” Nightmare’s Dark Energy Reactor will explode if in critical danger.

“Self Destruction…I prepared to die the moment we started to battle…” The voice came as it echoed continuously in Nightmare’s mind.

Coyote said his final words as he stabbed right through Mallory’s chest, a tear fell. “I’m…sorry…Mallory…”

“Nothing…I…loved…you…” Mallory and Nightmare both exploded at the same time, as Coyote backed away in time.

“I…I’m coming…my family…” Calamity’s final thoughts, before the Dark Energy explosion completely destroyed him.

Two days later. A funeral of the hunters took place in the Eternal Light cemetery. With 60% of the Hunters killed. Only very few remain. But the irregular army was completely wiped off the face of Earth.

“…These brave heroes will be remembered.” Cyber X finished and he looks down to everyone. To Striker, on a wheelchair, Love, holding firmly onto her crutch. To Obsidan still standing. Lastly, to Coyote who is barely standing.

After the funeral. Coyote started to salvage the remains of where Nightmare and Calamity battled. Calamity’s only friends were the hunters. And he’s now dead. Calamity’s probably his only true friend in his existence. And he’s there, to salvage his pieces.

“…” Coyote found something, one of Calamity’s head fins. He pulled it out of the rocks surrounding it and exclaimed it. Suddenly, it started to play a message:

“By the time you find me, Coyote, I’m as good as dead. Bringing Nightmare with me. I’m glad that I did, even if he survived, you hunters will have enough time to counter him. What I can do at the very least. Do not cry, Coyote, Mallory was forced too. While I had to. We have our reasons. Remember, Life Goes On.”

“…” Coyote fell to his knees. Holding Calamity’s head fin. He started to salvage bits and pieces of Calamity, and then Mallory.

“Life goes on…” Coyote gazed at the sky.

The End.

Author's notes: The story idea came from a RPG I often visit...why it's called Rockman Resurection. The title came from the Ending Song No.2 of Gundam SEED Destiny. "Life Goes On" By Mika Arisaka.

Calamity Axis is me. While Coyote and Mallory is My Friend and his Ex-Girlfriend, and Nightmare is property of Nightmare X of 'Trinity Of Evil" (PMM visiters, ring a bell?) Hugo is HuggeSWE, Love of Mon Ameur Love, Striker is Proto Stryker, Obsidan is I3lack Templer.

Cyber X IS the X in Zero Series, as it is in 25XX. The storyline has no Zero, or Neo Arcadia, everything was erased out of history files after (storyline of Z4)

Critilisms are welcome, comments are welcome, flaming is welcomed. But i'll reply with a "screw you"If you flame, bite me if you don't like it.

yes, yes...there goes my attitude on others flaming again...(yawns)

From now on, This topic will be collections of any MM related short fics I wrote. in which, the fic I posted here will be MM related.

Anyways, my next fic.

MM6 Team Metallic Mercenaries Short Story: Hating To Be Loved.

The bow ends opened, the plasma-energy arrow ready to fire any time.

The vine covered buster, charging with green light. Prepared to strike down its enemy.

February 14th, 20XX. Inside an abandoned factory, currently bursting in flames.

“We’re trapped here, Ti-An…because of you.” Mimiyu’s eyes twitched a bit. Seeing her Ex-boyfriend pointing his purple buster at her. She was Priestess Centaurgirl of the Metallic Mercenaries. In Emerald-green armor. Holding her shield on her left hand, her bow, attached to the arm directly. On her right hand.

“…me? Hardly…do remember who was the clumsy girl that detonated that fire bomb…” Ti-An smirked. Though no one ever saw it. His mouth covered in bandage. ”Besides…if I did. What would my purpose be?”

“To kill me, like you always wanted too.” Mimiyu did not trust Ti-An as much as she once did. Even if he’s the leader of the Metallic Mercenaries. And her Ex-boyfriend. He always wanted to kill her. Yet Mimiyu wanted to kill him. It’s the love and hate relationship between the two of them.

“…” Ti-An remained silent. Yes, he always wanted to step on her dead body. But yet again, she was the only one he ever felt being attracted too. And it has been like that for years by now. “At least we aren’t burnt yet…”

“Don’t change the subject. Ti-An.” Mimiyu gave a cold glare at him. Her clear, black eyes looking at the figure in front of her. The leader, one that completely turned the Metallic Mercenaries to heroes in saving the world from Sigma, Weil, and Dark Soul. The one that was always soft when it comes to her. The one that knows most about her…is here pointing his buster at her. “Now…why are you pointing your buster at me?”

“Oh, I thought put you in a suspended state till we get out, unless you want to step into the flames and walk out with your hair still in one piece…because you can’t get out at swift as I can.”

Mimiyu gulped, she cared a lot about her hair, mostly because Ti-An liked her long hair. “Fair enough.”

“Now, my turn.” Ti-An suddenly pulled out a katana using his right hand and hacked a flaming-cement debris in seven pieces. . “Why are you pointing your bow at me?”

“Because you pointed your buster at me.” Mimiyu replied, it seems her legs froze the very second. No. Her whole body froze at what Ti-An is doing.

Ti-An took off his helmet, revealing his Black, messy hair. His mouth covered in bandages, not that it’s injured, but it was part of the SP armor. Each of the Mercenaries received a upgrade each. For example, Mimiyu was PC, standing for Priestess Centaurgirl, while Ti-An was SP, standing for Shinobu Plantman.

“Wha…what?” Mimiyu stared at Ti-An. He now threw the bandage covering his mouth to the ground. And slowly approached Mimiyu.

“Do you…remember what is today?” Ti-An’s tone was as dangerous as it sounds. His tone was the same when he targets his enemy. And he’ll kill them.

Mimiyu’s body froze completely, freezing from her brain down her mechanic spine, “I can’t move…” She had to close her eyes, hoping her fate will be painless.

Nothing.

Nothing. But a Tight hug…and a warm kiss on the lips.

“Happy Valentines, sweetheart.”

The End.

Might be wondering, why am I suddenly posting these works? Because I can't let them sit in the dust! This one was written back in Febuary.

These two characters are actually based upon to real life people, Ti-An R.F. Chen, Shinobu Plantman, leader of MM6 Team Metallic Mercenaries, and Mimiyu-chan, Priestess Centaurgirl of the same team.

As always, Critisms, (Reasonable) Flames (e.g. This fic sucks, because it's not even MM related.), Comments are all welcomed. Next fic will probably finally be an EXE fic...but I can gurantee, there will be no "Rockman" or "Netto Hikari the dense dope" In the fic...simply because I don't feel like using presetted existing characters in this fiction. Another work for RR will also be avilable in due time.

Is Mimiyu based on Mimiru from .Hack//SIGN I just thought it sounded offly specific.
