Considering how it's been spelled by Shademan in the anime, and the previous stellar aparitions of this skill in the classic games... it's CrUsh Noise. _________________ Hecha en MÉXICO - Avatar by Me.

It can be translated as both, but MM7 has it as "Noise Crush." |

'crush' and 'crash' are spelled with the same kana in Japanese - クラッシュ. I've never seen it spelled in English in the Rockman world, so I can't say which is really "canon". _________________ One of the three EXE sisters! *Armstrong-style pose*

It's also Cra/ush Noise in Power Battles. I forget which letter they picked there, but it could easily be a typo. You know the Japanese, they're never really sure themselves. It's not like either "crash" OR "crush" is a very logical thing to do with noise, so I'd say either one is viable. Just like it could either be Crashman or Clashman, or possibly even Crushman....Clushman?
Although since I usually go with the english translations I heard first (disregarding their own inconsistencies) I say Crashman AND Noise Crush. Yes, I don't care that the translators flipped the words around in MM7, it actually makes slightly more sense that way anyway. I also call Shademan.exe's attack Noise Crush because of this.
In just under a week we'll also find out what Shopro thinks it is, because Shademan uses the attack in the next episode. |

Her posts and yours came at the exact same time. I'm sure it was either an accidental double-post or a forum glitch. >_> _________________ (\ ºvº\ (\

Uh, no. The anime never shows the english spelling. The fansubbers have interpreted it as Crush Noise but that's not official. And like I already said, we'll see how Shopro interprets it tomorrow, because that's he episode that airs tomorrow. |

It's easier to say Crush Noise for the japanese and Noise Crush for americans. Power Battles/Fighters/Whatever not withstanding, Shademan's name for the attack in the american version of the games has always been Noise Crush. The strategy guide even reffers to it as Noise Crush and it appears ShoPro has agreed with them on that as well. |

Make BN4 notwithstanding as well. While they didn't pick a vowel, they still put the "Crsh" in front of the "Noise". The description on Shademan's chip says "CrshNoise attck all direction". Not that I'd take a crammed up chip description in BN4 to be the best translation though. |

Didn't we already go over this? It's never shown spelled in the anime. Even the way it's heard can be interpreted differently because Japanese people do pronounce Crush, Crash, and Clash all exactly the same. |

The literal english spelling of the Japanese katakana in question is 'ku ra a shu' 'no i zu', kana by kana (note: shu is the combination of the last two). The problem therein is that, as was stated, C(ra)sh and C(ru)sh are pronounced the same way...not one as "Raa" and one as "Ruh", but both as "Rah". ~~*

More like Dr. Light and Right. Even tough Right's emblem's been shown before (as a large R) somewhere, people still refuse to believe that his name is Right in the Japanese version. :/ _________________ Make a random avatar/ banner. | Atomic Fire's oekaki board. |

Actually, with the EXE series and "Tadashi Hikari", it's possible Capcom originally intended BOTH Light and Right as interpretations of his name in the original series. Either that or they eventually just caught onto the uncertainty and played into it. Either way, I don't think Dr. Light can be considered "wrong" any more. |
