To be honest, I liked the slightly slower pace of the original beginning better. Sometimes when you go so fast, you lose those emotional details you're trying convey. The new footage however, looks absolutely splendid. :) and of course DS Blues standing up in the smoke sends chills down my spine. I love, love love that part in the video. *_* The scenes with the "addicted" lyrics also fall in really, really well.

And yay! The "I'm addicted" part was the one that gave me the most trouble, glad to know I finally got it to work out. Thanks for the feedback, it's extremely helpful XD

My ego wants to agree with Ryouko. It is going a bit on the fast side and some emotion coming from the characters is lost.

My id says that the flashy clips flying by really fit the music and you can see just enough facial expression for what the video is trying to portray. Plus, the flashyness and quick clips give the added illusion of überkickass action, which is always good.

My superego says that the other two are stupid and that it's your talent, DS. I'll go with my superego.

FYI, I think the old and new drafts are keepers. The one I watch depends on my mood. ... This gives me an idea. If it's not too much work (which it probably would be), how about two verisons. One would be more mellow and focuses on emotion, while the other would be flashy and focus on hard action.

Not done fixing it, but here's how it looks so far:

I still think it looks too fast.. @_@ And for the life of me, that beat right before Colonel start slashing up the trilobytes (the first time) will NOT line up with ANYTHING. I tried to make him turn to it, and it didn't work, so I tried to line up the first slash to it, but even then it refuses to cooperate and I swear I've pulled those clips back SEVERAL times. Have to keep trying... x___x

watching that reminded me of when i was still a Guest before the hacking. do you still have your old AMVs, like Somewhere I Belong, Behind Blue Eyes, etc., etc.? if you do, could i download them, for old times' sake?

any way, what you have so far is pretty good. i was sort of... umm... what's the word i'm looking for? oh yes. dissappointed. yes, dissappointed that the AMV ended when it did. you've got mad skills, DeadlySerenade, mad skills...

When I want to. :P It's taking me a long time because I want it to look nice for AnimeFEST. And at least stand a small chance against Digital Anguish. XD
The submission deadline is August 13th, though, so the final version should, key-word being should, be up pretty soon. Keep your shirt on.
