|
|
Browsing through the REO site, I found it a little difficult to navigate from one part of the site to another, or go back to the homepage to see a different section. The only solution I've found is to use my browser's "Back" button or include a link to the REO homepage in a bookmark menu.
I was thinking perhaps a "Home" button would probably solve this issue, or even a "Jump to..." pull down menu that would allow people to jump to different sections of the site to make navigating a little easier. I dunno...what do you think? |

I remembered this was suggested many times, but I forgot what was the result. _________________

You could always go to "Memberlist", and click on the WWW button for Ryouko. She's member #1, so there's no excuse for not finding it. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! Actually, I meant people who are already surfing REO's MAIN site, not the forums, who want to jump from one section to another (i.e. going from "Screencaps" to "Manga Version" or any other section for that matter), without going back to the homepage, to go to another section of the site. not finding the link to REO through the forums. I just think it'd be a little more convenient that way. |

Seeing that the site has roughly 300 html pages, I just don't have the time to add a "back" feature to all of them. If I ever redesign the site, I'll make sure to do so though. _________________ "Cats are interesting. They're kind of like girls. When they come talk to you, it's great. Actually, there's a way to make it in one go, using a find and replace feature in a text editor and inserting the same piece of code -which could be the javascript:back function, for example- in all the pages. You can also do that with the header code to add the hyperlink to the main page, and it shouldn't take a lot of minutes.
I'd recommend opening all files -or at least as many files you can open at once- in a text editor like Editpad, type the specific line to replace, set the options to replace in all documents and there we go. _________________

Still sounds like too much work in the long run. Better to do that search-replace sweep only once to insert the code for a menu file inclusion. That way the menu file can be edited when needed without having to touch any of the pages it's pasted in. Unless of course the server doesn't enable file inclusion for some reason. |
