Cyber Man-Rise to Power: Page 1 is now up

*NOTE: This comic is a continuation of a fanfiction collab I wrote with Sigma.exe, titled "Adver Man: The Ultimate Evil." According to the rules, all updates to this comic will be made on this post. Also, for a little change in pace, all characters will be drawn in semi-chibi form (except for chapter intros).

The year: 200X. In the turbulent months following the defeat of Adver Man and his minions, the Cyber World is once again in hopeless peril. The remnant guerilla mafias operating throughout the globe have reorganized into independent clans, fiercely competing amongst themselves for control of the entire Internet.

Duo and Slur, in a final desperate move to counter the wave of corruption that ensued as a result of Adver Man's deletion, have altered his data and bestowed a new Navi dubbed as the Ultimate Power upon an unlikely new hero, in hopes of defending the Cyber World from certain ultimate destruction.

And so a new saga in the EXE universe begins.

While the story appears pretty interesting at first glance, the picture leaves room for work. You seem to have gone off the deep end with the Blur tool, for one. It makes the entire picture just really hard to look at, as one can't tell where they're supposed to focus their vision. Maybe try and make the background less vivid, focus on the people a bit more, and on a side note, motorcycle's really well drawn. XD

What Nazne has said covers the majority of what is a bit off in the drawing. I have but one question for you--what's with the bullet-hole in the title?

Midnight Critic, to tell the truth, I just felt like inserting the bullet hole to give this fan comic more of a rugged Cowboy Bebop kind of feel. That, and I've heard that in Katakana the characters are usually separated by dots, and I felt like doing something creative with the title :]

Actually, Wackoguy, Kenishiro is no longer among the living. XD Actually, he is. But he probably won't appear in this story and if he does, it's as a cameo, whenever it's appropriate for him to show up.

As for the pic, that guy in the jacket is named Chin, and the sexah thang beside him is named Lumine. These are a set of one-off characters made for the purposes of this fic. The story is that [spoil:36468fcf05]Slur gives Chin Adver Man's data, which manifests itself into a new Net Navi named Cyber Man, who bears a close resemblance to the Navi he replaces[/spoil:36468fcf05].

Thanks Mikazuki and Elizabeth! Good to know you appreciate the funny-ness; but alas I have bad news and good news, and even better news.

First the bad. Since I've recently started work on another original comic called Arcadian Sky, I just can't find the time to work on TWO comics at once. So this manga was extremely short-lived and I'll admit it was definitely an over-abmitious effort, lol.

Then the good news. I will write the sequel to Adver Man as a fanfic, just to keep it traditional, and also to let the people on Fanfiction know the Adver Man saga is not dead. Since I'll be updating some fanart, to save forum space I'm posting in my previous fanart thread, although most of my effort will now be concentrated on Adver Man's sequel. In the meantime, I'd like to request an admin or moderator to lock this thread, and if you'd still like to comment about this, you may PM me at any time. >_O

And finally, the even better news. I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance.
