The EXE Revolution Is Here: Nebula (World Wide EXE Group)

For a while now, I've always felt that the Rockman EXE fans' numbers in the US is very close, if anything, to being in the same numbers as the Pokemon game fans. The problem with that, however, is while Pokemon has had many opportunities to bring out these game fans, Capcom has never given us such an opportunity. Only through the net do we know that we exist in a plentiful (This site, among others, being an example). Unfortunatly, without knowing fellow players, sometimes collecting all the chips by yourself can be a handful, or the opportunity to play against another net battler can never come to pass...

I plan to change that.

I am making a shout out to all of those who are interested in forming this EXE group known as Nebula. Now you may be wondering, "What is Nebula?" Aside from it blantly being named after the dark crime syndicate in EXE 5, Nebula is a world wide group divided into teams for each state or providance. Each team is named after a navi or even a human from the game series (Team of Starman being an example for my local group here in Texas. For the city, it would be the San Antonio section of the team). Using a website, we post our teams, as well as our members and their current Wins/Losses, Battle Chip record and so forth. Each section of the team would have a leader, who helps runs everything, as well as a sub leader in case the leader can't make it to a meet up. Which is what the next paragraph covers.

Meet ups would happen every two weeks or every month. A mall would be the best choice, but if you think you can choose another suitable place (Gamestop, EB, wherever), then so be it. As long as you let us know through the site. There will be a point structure similar to that to the point structure of the Pokemon TCG leagues, but working in favor of battles in EXE of course. I currently have an idea where if players battle through real battles instead of practice, they earn a lot more points, especially depending on their net battle ranking. And like the Pokemon League, we could also try to give out prizes...but prizes would be an option.

Tournaments will also be held quartly and the winner would of course walk out with some sort of prize (Once again optional on the prize part, but this would likely be the most stressed time to give out a prize...anything really XD; ).

It's not just with battles and trades either. The group could extend beyond that to the PET devices, or even the now-discontinued TCG.

So now that I have explained myself, all I really need now are volunteers. If you agree to volunteer, your main task will be to try to spread the word about your team in your town. The best things you can do is make flyers and have distribute them somehow to fellow EXE fans to spread the word, or with people at a fellow game store. If enough popularity grows for this, we could even try to have fellow EXE sites promote us *looks at this board's site's direction...^ ^;*

Keep in mind that all of this information for the group is still tentive and not set in stone. But once we get a decent amount of people volunteering for this, I can get down to the concrete stuff.

So yeah, if you're interested, post a reply here. I appriciate any help you can give to furthur push EXE's popularity. And who knows...maybe if we really work together to make this work...maybe it may even spike up EXE's popularity by a hundred folds...perhaps even enough to where Capcom just MIGHT look at EXE a bit better and give it more of a promotional push.

No offense, but this whole post is asinine....

About 1 out of every 1000 in the US would actively say "Rockman EXE" instead of Mega Man Battle Network outside of an internet setting anyway...

...and.... you want it to become MORE of an epidemic like Pokemon did?? Geez man, what more do you want? I'm content to just play the games - as I was with Pokemon. I cringe when I think of the days when you couldn't walk into a store without seeing a million stupid little Pikachus STARING at you. I think that the last thing that we need is for EXE to become so overdone like that. Capcom shouldn't just focus on EXE. EXE has had all the focus for like the past 4 years - don't know where you've been if you don't realize that. They should be doing stuff with other serieses as well.

Hmm... not a horrible sounding idea, but I don't think it'd work...
I tried something similar with a friend of mine locally for Pokemon when we were younger and it was really hard to maintain it just being in one area, with a small group of people.
Good luck on it though.

Perhaps I worded it wrong, but I don't exactly want EXE to go to the way of Pokemon and be overhyped. My main goal with this is just to try to get all the local players united together in their home towns so they can meet and battle.

...and yeah yeah, I know Battle Network is used a LOT more in the US than EXE. Thats just a habbit of mine ^ ^;. All the flyers and so forth would mention EXE by the US title.

And yeah Starman, this is Seif from WtW. Are you a member from there too?

having a bunch of little Exe fans running around every where like the pokemon groups *scray images pop into xhunters head @.@* i would never want that EVER just because there would be little kids that dont know any thing about the games or anime/manga and would be fighting over WHO knows what and WHO's right (seen it before while walking by a Pokemon group at a Theme park) its best to leave us Megaman fans right where we are (on the Computers/Forums) where we dont have to walk into the cloest game store only to find it over run by wannbe fans @.@.

Since I don't know of ANY other MM fans in my city, or heck, my entire province for that matter (not providence) it would be nice to find out if there are any through such a project. Unfortunately, I'm not optimistic about the chances of your success. Being a veteran of MM teams I know how hard it can be to keep really large ones together. Even if you managed to collect a national team listing, I doubt 90% of them would still be active by the end of the month. At any rate I don't know how many people would be enthusiastic to put up flyers, I know I'm not.

It's a nice idea, and I wish you luck, but try not to be too disappointed if the project doesn't live up to your expectations, because you set the bar a little high.

I know 6 other people who play Rockman.EXE where I live. 5 of those people own a DS. Those 5 people will buy Twin Leaders when it comes out here. There can be 8 people to a Twin Leaders tournament. The person without a DS will get one sometime. That is 7 people playing Twin Leaders and all the other games. That's all I need, I'm not interested =P.

I'd be kinda interested in this, but I doubt I'd be able to find anyone who's close by. I mean, I live in the most ANTI-Rockman/Megaman town I've ever seen! :/

I do have a few friends who have the game too, but they don't play it much. Too busy with their Halo and Runescrape to care. And also, I have the best Navi out of all of them. Even when they bust out the Dark Chips I still beat them with over 1000HP remaining. (Max is 1205)
Once beat them only using Rockbuster and ChargeShot. One of them shouted, "HAX!!" when I did so.

Well, I'm interested because I am bored of the opponents I am presented iwth. I need someone who can match me or defeat me.... Someone who can live for MORE THAN 30 SECONDS!!! (I feel like Evil Ryu or Gouki now.... Laughing

) I wanna meet some new people too. Ragnarok is not working for me, Kaillera is too laggy and I can never log into a server, SFO just plain sucks, and I don't wanna see horrid Rune graphics and people named "Fartboi20432232" asking me for my stuff every 3.215 seconds.

i Wouldent start calling out challenges, i started doing that at one point, and AMZ beat the crap out of me.....

I'd love to get into this, but only know of three people(including me) who play Rockman.exe in my area -_-;

I'd volunteer but I doubt it would get far, you need something like a website or something else that can connect groups amoung the area in which you do this, you can find a way to back your position or make a real large scale thing like the Yu-Gi-Oh leagues that were everywhere a few years ago and I'll join. One thing I do wonder is if the creator is still checking this thread because he hasn't replyed.
