All info from The Brady Games guide book:

SP chips of all Navis you fight in game gain 10 extra dmg for every ten twi seconds under 30 you last took to delete the corresponding navi's "Omega" or SP form as you might put it.

Roll's SP works exactly as your friend told you

Django SP gains 10 dmg for every turn prior to use occording to the guide. But it's really hard to give Django's chips a estimated calculation as they don't do set amounts of damage but rather drain opponent (think GunDelSol) for a set amount of time. (No additional button pushing needed to my knowledge)

The DS Chips all work the same: They gain 5 dmg for every time you're caught flinching in battle. (Can't be more specific than that so I don't know if they mean total amount throughout the game or just in the current battle.) So they probably aren't going to do a lick of extra damage if you have SuperArmor equipped.

I have a hypothetical question. If I used a Dark Chip in a link battle against a friend, would I lose HP?

Also, how do I fight V2 & V3 versions of viruses?

That;s an excellent question. I would'nt think you would. Later areas for the most part. I just got team of blues and the liberation system is ingenius. Medi's twin liberation is very cool. One think I don't like is the small amount of fire chips. It seems like there are a lot less than there were in the other games.

Hi. I want to know where in ACDC areas I can find a navi for whom Lan should say 'Got ya' in the Hide and Seek where I can control Protoman or Blues. I tried to look in GameFAQs, but there's none available.

You can't without the e-reader in this game. The only Basses you can legitimately fight are the ChaosLord version and the Omega version. The rest are extra side-effects of using the BCM card, none of which are all that interesting or desirable anyway.

Wish I could answer that first one, but for once I only bought one copy of the game. As for the viruses, you upgrade them by opening the portals to the Nebula Area, that was mentioned before.

To fight highest version of the viruses you encounter, you need the MegaVirus (+1 level for the viruses) and GigaVirus (+2 levels) NaviCustomizer program part. I dunno where to find them, I found this info on GameFaqs. I guess somewhere in the NebulaHole.

I'm fighting [spoil:65b60affd8]Nebula Grey[/spoil:65b60affd8] using the same strategy I used against Duo in BN4. However, I've run into a problem.

I loaded my first LifeSword just fine. But then every time I try to load up another LifeSword, all I get are Sword, WideSword, & LongSword as separate chips. And yes, I did put them in the right order. Why is this happening?

You can only use one Program Advance per battle now. Complain else where if you choose to.

Crap.

In that case, does anyone have any suggestions for a good strategy against [spoil:eeff99666e]Nebula Grey?[/spoil:eeff99666e]

EDI: Forget it. I just destroyed him.

Those programs can't be acquired legitimately. It's likely the game designers thought about using the NC to upgrade viruses at first, but realized it was kinda pointless to make players up the difficulty by strengthening viruses while simultaneously making things harder by taking away NC space. At any rate, the MegaVirus and GigaVirus were canned in favour of the Nebula Hole portal opening system.

I thought so too. Makes sense. Weird they didn't remove it from the game though, sums up with the list of "incomplete" stuff like in the Sonic games. Wonder if there's some Gameshark code you can use to unlock them?

Actually, some SP Navi chips increase in increments of 5. Namely, Blizzardman, Cloudman, Gyroman, Cosmoman, Searchman, Shadowman, and Numberman.

And it increments for every two seconds less than 30.

can anyone tell me where to find Spin White in the American version of the game...?
Well, it's in the Goukakyakusen Computer 1, submerged underwater in a BMD. Not quite sure what that area's called in the English version, but it's the water-filled area on the ship. You plug-in from the ship's control room, and you have an air tank meter in the upper right-hand corner of the screen when you're there. Does that ring any bells?

That would be one of the rooms they cut out, Poochy. SpinWhite's been moved to one of the Engine Room terminals.

I found out the first part of the hide and seek. On ACDC3, find the prog on the upper on the narrow road at the upper part. On the second part of the five, what does the prog mean when he says "Next, I'll be in 1 on the 3 chips!"?

More than Likely it means he'll be in one of the Chip displays right outside the entrance of SciLab. The one all the way on the right is the only one you can jack into.
